Chapter 50. Won?

"You did a rescue without knowing how to meet up with Gajeel?" Natsu asked Levy in frustration. He couldn't believe his ears, how could you forget that? Levy had explained to them what had happened from her end of the stick and it didn't go so well. Natsu was ticked, probably because he was in a cave for days.

"Forget about that, did you lot even eat?" Levy asked in concern. The cave looked too complex for anyone to even try to get out, and, there was no sign of anything edible nearby.

"I always carry around food." Natsu grinned as he opened up his vest to show different varieties of meat, surprisingly not spoilt at all.

"Wendy, can you use your powers to try and find a way out?" Lucy asked her. She hadn't spoken to Natsu yet, she was too happy to even speak. Well, to him. If she did, she worried she might break down in front of him.

"The air keeps getting mixed up, but there is an open space nearby, I guess we can go there," Wendy said. It made sense, like a maze with a centre. "You can follow me, or just get lost again." Wendy shrugged as she began to walk. Lucy went beside her, leaving Levy with Natsu.

"Did anything happen when this began?" Natsu asked her He was too busy looking at Lucy to even listen to the answer.

"--And they said that they signed something important!" That brought him back. What important thing? What if it was... No, he didn;t want to think negatively.

"Wendy, can you get us there faster!" He complained. No one could ever be too careful. Wendy nodded, unaffected by what he said, and began to walk faster. He couldn't believe that he let himself get captured. He was only taking a nap outside the wall and--How did they know he was there? Questions buzzed through his head, hurting his tiny brain.

Before he knew it, they had arrived. It wasn't anything special, it wasn't like before in the GMG, but, he had the same feeling he had back then. Not the irritation towards Lucy, though. They were both fine this time.

To his left, he could see Erza, Gajeel, Jellal, Gray, and Juvia. He sighed in relief. He was glad they made it out safely, not even Juvia was scarred.

"Looks like you made it out, well, that doesn't matter anymore!" A man with black hair struck at Levy. He didn't even use any magic, just pure strength. Levy fell onto the floor and looked up in anger, before cowering back in fear.

"Levy, what's wrong?" Gajeel ran to her and shook her. He had to admit, he was worried for her. Her pupils were so tiny and her eyes were wide as hell. Her face was pale and maybe she didn't realise Gajeel was with her.

Gajeel hissed in frustration. "What in the world did you do to her?" He cried out to the man. He looked all high and mighty.

"I'm Midnight of the Oracion Seis, I create hallucinations." He said with a smirk. Gajeel muttered. What was it that Levy had told him a month ago to stop hallucinations? He couldn't believe that he had forgotten. This could have been the time he could save someone instead of killing them, but, he couldn't remember a single tip!

"Natsu, can you stall for me! I need to remember something!" Gajeel yelled at him. He automatically regretted how he had phrased it.

"Remember? Like how you and Levy forgot how to meet up?" Natsu mocked him. Gajeel had no clue what he was talking about, but, grinned when Natsu actually began to fight.

It hit him. Levy had to get over her fear that she was seeing. But, what is she seeing? He couldn't see what she was. Had he ever listened to her when she was talking? He instantly felt angry with himself. How could he not listen? Had years of no human contact froze him in the past, enough to not listen?

She was scared of war.

Gajeel whispered in her ear, "Levy, there isn't a war going on. Wake up or I will have to force you to see reality.". He could hear her loud heart beat quieting and slowing down. She must have heard him. He backed away his head, so she could see what he was talking about. As soon as she looked around and found Gajeel near her, she paled.

What was wrong now? But, he noticed it was different. The colour quickly arrived back and with red. Was she embarrassed that he saved her? She was feminist. Probably was. She muttered a thank to Gajeel before pushing him off. Gajeel scratched his head as he looked at Natsu. "They were easy, especially with Gray." Natsu grinned as he pointed as the laying bodies on the ground.

"Let me guess, it's our job to carry them?"
