"What's that?" Yukino shakily pointed at a tall gate before them. It was still in the cave but it looked like it was going to be moved very soon.

"That's the gate, I'm guessing they used the keys to open them once they got a hold of Luce, meaning we only have today to crush it," Natsu smirked with a glint in his eye as he got ready.

"What do you mean?" Mira asked.

"The gates open in a three-day radius. Today's the last day and it will open tonight. The time gates in movies go really fast but this is real life. Thanks a lot Zeref..." Natsu muttered.

"Huh?"

"Okay, how do we destroy it?" Carla asked.

"Well, just keep hitting it!" Natsu laughed. Lucy let out a smile as it was the first time he smiled in ages. But, his smile slowly turned into a scowl.

"Who said that?" Yukino asked.

"Zeref," Natsu said, "Okay, he said it would take hours without distractions! We need to make sure no one can hear this going on, then, attack," Natsu said.

"You seem happy about this," Wendy muttered.

"Yeah, I've been wanting to wreck this for ages!" He let out a laugh.

"Yeah, but, mum did say it's precious to Zeref," Wendy whispered.

"Well, Zeref ain't here, is he?" Natsu said.

"I'll just get a barrier ready," Lucy muttered as she walked away really fast.

"I'll set up for my demon," Mira said as she walked to another corner.

"I'll set up my keys," Yukino said as she ran towards Lucy. Yukino seemed to be really pleased to be left alone with Lucy. Natsu watched as Yukino talked and Lucy gave out a shaky laugh.

"I'll, I'll check the area out," Natsu said.

"Wait! What am I supposed to do!" Wendy yelled out.

"We'll just help everyone else and make sure the gate doesn't suddenly open," Carla said. Wendy watched as Happy flew away and Lily sat in the corner of the gate.

"Is he tired?" Wendy asked Carla. They walked closer to find out that his eyes were closed and his sword fell.

"I guess so, heal him before he wakes, he's gonna get his pride before him and collapse at the feet of death if you don't," Carla ordered.

Wendy sighed as she lay Lily on the floor and giggled as he let out a snore. "Carla, what would you do if someone you care for wants to become something dangerous?" Wendy blurted out as she hovered her hands over Lily.

"Who ever do you mean Wendy?"

"No one, just, answer, please!" Wendy whispered out. Carla looked up at her. A blue glow flowed from her palms and to Lily.

"Well, it depends on what," Carla laughed.

"Well, a friend wants to join the Royal Gaurds and become my Knight," Wendy said.

"Wendy, let me ask you this, do you know why I was sent down here?" Carla aked. Wendy let out a tear and quickly wiped it before it fell onto Lily. She shook her head. "I was sent down here to protect Earth Land, to protect life, to protect you," Carla said.

"He wants to do that to protect me?" Wendy let out a sad smile. "But, I don't want him getting hurt," 

"In life you need to get hurt, emotionally, physically, mentally," 

Wendy took away her hand as soon as all of Lily's skin healed. "But, I'll always be there to heal him, right?" Wendy said as she tried to put Lily back into place.

"No, no one would always be there, I don't know what happened to you when we got split up, but, you're hurt, but, are you still hurt?"

"No..."

"Pain goes away, my pain faded away along time ago," Carla laughed.

"What pain?" 

"The pain of not knowing who my parents are, Lily was sent here at an old age, probably just married. He got separated from his wife, or husband, and Happy and the others at the race were just eggs," Carla said.

"That's sad," Wendy said.

"It only means we had nothing to go back to, we won't be sad or lonely.If we were sent here at the age of Lily, we would have been devestated. I can only imagine how Lily had felt," Carla said.

"You really know a lot about emotions," Wendy laughed.

"Only because I observe. Watch this. Lucy is upset because Natsu had been ignoring her and he's upset because she 'friendzoned' him," Carla laughed.

"Did you just...?"

"Did I just what?" 

"Nothing,"

"Are you ready? We have to destroy it!"
