Chapter 8: A Few Extra Slices
Me and (y/n) talked for a while before I heard the phone ringing.
"Just, give me a second, I'll be right back," I said as I got up and reached for the phone.
"Okay," She responded before taking a sip of her drink.
"This is Johnny Ghost, Paranormal Investigator Extraordinaire, what is bothering you now Acachalla?" I answered after seeing the caller I.D
"How'd you know it was me?" He asked, I mentally face-palmed.
"Caller I.D Acachalla," I replied.
"Oh," He started, "Does that mean the president knows I'm the one that prank called him about the orange flavored cotton candy on his head?" (Cotton candy is the same thing as Candy Floss.)
"You did what!?" I exclaimed, "You know what? I don't care, what's your ghost problem?" I asked getting annoyed.
"I'm not the one with the problem, Sally keeps claiming that Billy has been making too many hot pockets in the microwave, and it's opening a portal in her bedroom. I think she's just crazy, because when I looked there I didn't see a big swirly portal trying to suck everything in," He went on for a while. I looked at (y/n), pointed at the phone, and then crossed my eyes, making circular motions with my finger next to my head to say, "He's crazy". She giggled, and Papa Acachalla heard.
"Who's that?" He asked, "Do you have your girly-friend with you or something?" I blushed.
"No, Acachalla, she's not my girlfriend," I face-palmed.
"Sure she is!" He exclaimed, "She's a girl, and a friend, so therefore she's your girlfriend," I blushed more.
"I don't have time for this, just, wait there, and don't let anyone use the microwave, please," I asked.
"Alright, I'll unplug it," He said. I gasped.
"No!" I exclaimed, "That's only going to make things worse! Just wait for me to come over, okay?"
"Alright, but don't take too long. I'm starting to want hot pockets myself," He replied. I hung up the phone and put it on the charger before putting my head against the wall and groaning.
"I'm guessing you have to go?" (y/n) said from across the room.
"Yeah, if I'm not there soon, I'll have to deal with a level 12 poltergeist," I replied with my head still against the wall.
"So, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" She said putting her cup in the sink. I looked up at her.
"Really? You want to come?" I asked. She shrugged.
"I've got nothing better to do, so why not? It's been awhile since I've studied a Paranormal Entity anyway," She said smiling.
"Do you know how to use a gun?" I asked, "It can get really intense at their house."
"Yes, I do," She said, "It's been awhile, but I think I'll be okay." Is there a more perfect girl in the world?
"Alright, I'll get Toast, and we can go. There are still some traps and salsa in the trunk," I said while heading towards the stairs.
{So uh, hey guys! I have a really funny story to tell you about why I didn't post this last week, heh. Please don't kill me for that. Um, so my computer crashed while I was in the middle of writing this, and then I had to rewrite the whole thing. Trust me, it takes a lot longer to write this then it does to read it. And then, after I rewrote it, I couldn't get it to turn on again! Yay! Old computers for the win! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed, and see you next time!}
