Today I live
At my peace of mind
With my mind
In pieces

I live in ease
With the chaos
In my head

Though my demons roam
And try to take control
I still take rest
In the sheep of my pastors

Because he is my shepherd
Therefore I shall not want
What mine enemies have

Fortune, Money, cars, and fame
They will never have
What I've received
Our mindsets are far from the same

They burn
From inside
They're inner demons take over
With no hope
Or any place to hide.

They fidget
They scream
Wail and cry
They're hurting
Because they're humans
Dying from the inside.

That's why Jesus says
What he says in verse 44
To pray for your enemies
You never know the battles
That they fight
The wars that their souls are slowly
Dying for.

That's why today
My mind lives in peace
With the pieces of my mind.

Because I let the Lord
Hold them
He is my refuge
In which I can hide.

I live today
With a grateful heart
Knowing that God is on my side.

But I pity my enemies
Because they don't have
Anyone they can go to
For themselves to confide.
