My POV

Me and rose hugged for a while, after we stopped hugging, she asked me something.

"May I ask you something?" Rose spoke.

"Sure." I answer.

"What's your name?" Rose asked me.

"I'm Zach, Zach diamond quartz, my so called father and other caretakers are human, but my mother, purple diamond, was a gem." I told her.

"So you're a hybrid?" Rose asked.

"Yeah." I answered.

A few minutes go by.

"Zach, do you have a home to go to?" Rose asked me.

I look down and start to cry again.

"Zach, what's wrong?" Rose asked me.

"My so c-called caretakers hurt me, physically hit me, made fun of me, I ran away to escape that." I told her.

Rose's POV

I am shocked, zach's 'caretakers' caused all this pain to him.

"Zach, how about we spend time together and bond?" I ask.

Zach looks up to me and smiles.

"I would really like that rose." He answers.

Third person POV

Over the next few hours, rose and Zach spendtime with each other, do silly stuff, tell jokes, and chat.

Now they are relaxing by a campfire Zach made.

My POV

I really enjoyed spending time with rose, she is so nice, kind, and caring, she feels like a mom to me, I need to tell her.

"Rose?" I speak up.

Rose looks down to me.

"Yes Zach?" She responds.

"While we were spending time with each other earlier, I felt a feeling I have never experienced before, the feeling of motherly love, what I am trying to say is that you are like a mom to me." I told her.

Rose smiles.

"I'm glad because you are like a son to me." Rose told me.

I hug her.

"I love you mom." I tell her.

Rose returns the hug.

"I love you too son." She answers.
