(Fair warning, Miu is going to act super OOC cause we need someone to cause the akumas at school)

Kaede was mentally running through everyone's names in her head.

"I think I've memorized everyone's names!"

"Already?" Shuichi asked, walking down the street with her, "It's only been a day."

Kaede shrugged, "Hey, can you tell me anything about the others?"

Shuichi clicked his tongue, "i only went to middle school with a couple of them. Yumeno is tired all the time, and Chabashira hates men. They were the power couple of our school. Gokuhara really likes bugs and will get mad if you kill one, Iruma is, well, you've already seen what she's like, and Kokichi is a liar."

"First names, eh?"

Shuichi blushed, "Shut up."

Kaede pushed him slightly, "Just kidding."

"Hey, Akamatsu!"

They both turned around.

"Oh hi, Hinata!" Kaede greeted.

Shuichi waved, "Hello. I'm Shuichi Saihara."

Hajime nodded, "Hajime Hinata. How was school?"

"We got Rantaro Amami in our class!"

"Oo, that's cool," He replied, patting her on the back.

Kaede and Shuichi reached the concert hall and started walking in.

"Why are you two going in there?"

"Oh, my parents own the place."

"Can I come in and ask something then?"

"To my parents? Sure!"

Hajime followed them inside. The group separated when they reached Kaede's parents, the freshman going upstairs to Kaede's room and Hajime staying to talk to her parents.

"Alright!" Kaede jumped onto her bed with Shuichi, "Let's catch up!"

Himiko was preforming a magic trick in the streets.

"Nyeh, is this your card?"

"No it isn't!"

Himiko turned to the man, "Hm, well, can you check your wallet for me?"

"My wallet?" He took our his wallet and pulled out the two of diamonds, "What?"

"And was this perhaps what you were looking for?" She held up his drivers license.

He blinked a couple times, before they exchanged the cards. He huffed, "It's not like magic exists," before walking off.

Tenko booed from somewhere in the crowd.

"Thanks for coming," Himiko rolled her eyes, before she waved her cape up and over herself, disappearing.

A couple minutes later, Himiko was cleaning up the show with Tenko.

"You were so awesome today Himiko."

"Thanks."

"It was so cool how you shut that degenerate male up by taking his drivers license! In my opinion, you should've kept it."

"He would probably sue me."

Tenko pouted, "Ugh, boo the legal system."

Miu walked up, "Yo, flat tits and feminazi!"

"What did you call Himiko, you degenerate female?"

Miu flipped her off, walking up to Himiko, "Oh, shove a sock in it. Oo, what are you doing? More fake tricks?"

"They're not tricks! They're magic!"

"Sure sure, just like this!" Miu proceeded to grab a wand out of Himiko's hand and throw it towards the river. Himiko lunged after it, only barely catching it before it fell into the water.

Miu cackled. Tenko growled at her, which made Miu run away.

"Himiko?"

Himiko glared at Miu's shrinking figure.

A small black butterfly flew into the wand in her hand.

"Magician, I am Monarch. I can grant you the power to teach everyone about your magic. In return, you must gift me the Ladybug earrings and Black Cat ring. Do you accept?"

"Yes, Monarch," She mumbled.

"Himiko?"

Himiko stood up, a black mist covering her body.

Tenko shrieked and fell backwards, "H-Himiko?!"

A gray hand shot out of the mist and swung to the side, revealing a girl the same size of Himiko with a magician hat with gray skin, a mainly black cover scheme including a black cloak and black leggings. Himiko's gem hairpin was transformed into a butterfly pin.

"The name's Magician, and from now on no one will ever doubt me again!"

She leaped up in the air and disappeared from view.

Tenko only blinked in disbelief.

Kaede waved goodbye to Shuichi as he waked away.

"See you tomorrow!" Her exclamation was interrupted by screaming. The two turned to see a crowd of people running away from...something.

"What's going on?" Shuichi asked a passing man.

"It's a girl!"

"A girl?"

The man opened his mouth to explain more but a ray struck him, making him disappear out of thin air. Shuichi shrieked and jumped back. A girl jumped down in front of them, "Do you believe in magic?"

Shuichi blinked, recognizing the voice, "Himiko?"

"No, I'm Magician!" She snarled. Magician pointed the wand at them, "Now, do you believe in magic?"

Kaede opened her mouth to deny her belief, but Shuichi covered it, "Yes, we do!"

Magician nodded and leaped away again.

"We should probably go hide."

Shuichi pulled out his phone, "No, I'm actually curious about this. I'm going to go record her."

Kaede sputtered, "That's dangerous, don't do that!"

Shuichi turned to her, "She's been my classmate for years now. I can't just stand by and pretend nothing happened. Also, if I found out whatever happened to her, maybe I can help people avoid it."

Kaede but her lip and nodded. She walked towards him and hugged him, "Be careful."

"I will." He ran off.

She shook her head and walked upstairs to her room.

Kaede took a deep breath, "Alright, you need to get your kind off things. First thing to do, get the syllabi signed." As she was emptying her backpack, she noticed a small black box with red details.

She blinked. How did that get in there?

Kaede picked it up, observing it from all angles. She opened the box. A flash momentarily blinded her. When she opened her eyes, there was a small red creature.

She shrieked, crawling backwards and dropping the box, "Bug! Mouse! Bug Mouse!"

What happened to the ecosystem while she was gone?!

The creature flew over and covered her mouth, "Sh! I'm not a bug! I'm Tikki!"

"It can talk!" She screamed.

"Do you want to be a superhero or not?"

Kaede blinked, "What?"

Tikki sighed, "I'm a kwami, a creature that can grant whoever wears their miraculous powers. The miraculous given to you is the Ladybug miraculous, which grants you the power of creation."

Kaede grabbed the box and looked inside it. There were two earrings, both gray.

"If this is supposed to be ladybug themed, why are they gray?"

"Well, you wouldn't want to reveal your secret identity, would you?"

Kaede nodded, "Fair." She looked up, "What're my powers?"

"The Ladybug miraculous is the most powerful one. You gain a yo-yo to help you fight. If you shout Lucky Charm, an item will appear and it will somehow help you in whatever scenario you're in. Your miraculous also has the power to purify akumas."

"I'm sorry, the what now?"

"Akumas!" Tikki shouted, "They're supervillains that the butterfly miraculous holders make. Although they can only make one at a time."

"So like Magician?"

"Oh, they already made one?" Tikki murmured, "Well you should transform. Better help your partner."

"Partner?"

"Yes, your partner is the user of the black cat miraculous. Are you ready to transform?"

"Yes, how do I do that?"

"Say 'Tikki, spots on'!"

"Alright." Kaede put on the earrings.

"Tikki, spots on!"

A singular flash later and Kaede was in the costume. She looked into her full length mirror hanging on the door.

She had on a red bodysuit with black spots all over it like a ladybug. Covering her eyes was a red eye mask also donned with black spots. Her earrings had also adopted the Ladybug theme. There was a thing string around her waist. Connected to it was a yo-yo.

"Wow, Tikki, this is cool!" She glanced around, "Tikki?" The kwami was nowhere to be found.

More screams came from her window. Kaede shook her head. She could worry about Tikki later, right now she needed to save the day.

Kaede swung open her balcony door and leaped up into the air, flying several feet higher like the Earth's gravity had switched to the moon's.

"Whoo!"

Rantaro was walking home from a photoshoot when Nagito ran up to him.

He tripped into Rantaro, who promptly caught him.

"I'm sorry!"

"It's fine. Did you want to say something?"

"Yes actually!" Nagito took out a small black box with red details and handed it to Rantaro.

Rantaro opened his mouth, but Nagito placed a hand over it.

He stared at him with a grim expression, "Don't tell anyone you have this. Don't open it til you get home. No one can know I gave this to you."

Rantaro blinked as Nagito ran away, going into an alleyway, which flashed for a brief second.

"Hey, what does that mean? Come back!" But when Rantaro reached the alley, he was gone.

Weird.

When he reached his room, he opened the box. A small flash of light filled the room, before a small black cat-like creature flew out.

It yawned, "It's been a while. What's your name?"

"Rantaro, yours?"

"Hm, you're reacting is...very minimalistic."

Rantaro shrugged, "Are you going to answer the question?"

"I'm Plagg, a kwami that can grant you magical powers using the black cat miraculous!" He said, flying in a small circle.

Rantaro peeked into the box, seeing a small white ring. He put it on, "Nice. What powers do I get?"

After a brief summary, Plagg finished with one thing, "Also you should have a partner with the Ladybug miraculous!"

There was a small shout of excitement from somewhere outside the window. Rantaro turned to see a girl in a red and black bodysuit jumping around. One that looked suspiciously ladybug themed.

"Alright. Plagg, claws out!"

A brief transformation later and Rantaro was in a black bodysuit that had a bell on the collar with a belt long enough to be mistaken as a tail that had a staff connected to it. He also had cat ears and a black eye mask that covered his now green eyes. He looked at himself in his mirror, "Wow I got much more of an outfit than her." Rantaro pushed open his window and leaped out to join the battle.

Kaede jumped from roof to roof, cheering happily. She paused for a moment and took out her yo-yo.

"How does this work?" She threw it at a lamppost. It wrapped around the top of it. She jumped off the roof. At the same moment, a green haired boy crashed into her. The yo-yo released itself from the lamppost and both of them collapsed to the ground.

"Ow," The boy muttered, rubbing his head.

Kaede looked up, "I'm so sorry!"

He chuckled, "It's fine. After all, we only got our powers today, correct?"

She hummed in agreement.

"I'm Chat Noir," He said, standing up and extending a hand.

She took it and stood up, "And I'm K.." Kaede caught herself, "Kinda new at this. Give me a moment to come up with a name?"

Chat nodded, "Very fair."

There was a small scream. Chat looked up before catching someone in his arms, "Hey. Are you okay?" Kaede flinched at seeing Shuichi.

He got up, "Yes. Thank you." Shuichi blinked, "Woah, are you two superheroes?!"

"Yep!" Kaede cheered, "He's Chat Noir, and I'm Ladybug!"

"Very creative," Chat sarcastically stated.

"We just met, please spare me."

Shuichi blinked before pointing, "Magician is over there, you two should probably go save her."

Ladybug and Chat looked at each other and nodded. She turned to Shuichi, "Thank you for the assistance. You should probably go home now."

Shuichi snorted, "There are actually superheroes in town now. You really think I'm gonna go home when I could be recording the battle?" He blinked, "...Kokichi's chaotic energy is rubbing off on me."

He turned towards the battle and ran towards it. Chat stared at him, "That boy has no self preservation." Ladybug sighed.

What have you been getting up to since I was gone?

"Let's go," Chat tapped her before using his staff to fling himself over.

Ladybug nodded, using her yo-yo to wrap around some lampposts and swing to the battle.

"Do you believe in magic?" Magician asked a small girl on the ground. She shook her head.

Magician clicked her tongue before waving her wand at her and making her vanish.

Miu trembled behind a blue car. Magician glanced around, "Iruma-San! Where are you?" She flipped over a white one.

"Not here!" Magician walked over to the blue car. She used her wand to levitate it into the air. Miu squeaked. Magician lifted her up by her shirt, "Here you are! Now it's time for the final show!"

With a snap of her fingers, Magician summoned a blue box that seemed to be composed of two smaller ones. There were two holes on either end. She opened it and threw Miu inside, closing it again.

Ladybug glanced from a building, "Where do you think the akuma is?"

Chat stared at Magician, "Well, I'm betting the wand. It's the object that makes the most sense with her powers right now."

Ladybug nodded. Magician twirled her wand around in her hand, transforming it into a saw. Miu visibly paled.

"Time to saw this girl in half!" She started to lower the saw.

"Oh boy, guess it's time to use my power," Ladybug whispered.

"Lucky charm!"

As she called that, she threw her yo-yo in the air unconsciously. The yo-yo was surrounded by thousands of tiny ladybugs. When they disappeared, a ribbon appeared where the yo-yo was. It fell into Kaede's hands.

"A ribbon?" Chat raised an eyebrow, "Are we playing dress up?"

The ribbon had a print of flowers and other various objects on it. She swore she had seen it before somewhere.

Her vision went gray. Ladybug glanced around the vicinity. There was a girl hiding behind a building with the same ribbon as the one in her hand. Her body was illuminated by a ladybug pattern. She glanced at Magician. The saw in her hand was also illuminated. Ladybug glanced at Chat Noir. He lit up as well. Finally, she stared down at the ribbon in her hand. It lit up. Her vision returned to normal.

Ladybug turned to Chat and whispered her plan.

"Follow me," She called, swinging down to the girl. Chat nodded.

"Excuse me?" The girl shrieked, turning around with her arms in the air.

"Eh? Who are you two?"

"Ladybug and Chat Noir, we're superheroes," Ladybug explained, "Do you know Magician in her civilian form?"

She nodded quickly, "Himiko Yumeno. She's my girlfriend. Do you know what happened?"

Chat nodded, "We were wondering if you had any insight on how to get her angry at Ladybug?"

She tapped her foot on the ground, "We get really angry when someone insults our girlfriend."

Ladybug hummed, "What's your name and favorite hobby?"

"Eh? Tenko Chabashira and Akido."

She nodded, "Thanks for your help." Ladybug turned to Chat, "Ready kitty." He nodded. Ladybug put the ribbon from her lucky charm in her hair.

She jumped out from behind the car, "Blah! I'm Tenko Chabashira and I'm a karate master!" Ladybug did some poses which made it obvious she was mocking Tenko.

Tenko bristled from behind the car.

Magician paused.

"What did you say about Tenko, you little!" She lunged at Ladybug with her saw. Ladybug leaped backwards while Chat jumped forwards.

"Cataclysm!" He touched the saw. It disintegrated beneath his fingers. A black butterfly flew out of it. Himiko dropped to the floor, groaning. Tenko ran over to help her up.

Ladybug swung her yo-yo back and forth, "No more evil doing for you, little akuma." She swept it towards the akuma, trapping it in her yo-yo, "Gotcha!"

She pressed a small button on her yo-yo, releasing a white butterfly. Ladybug giggled, "Bye-bye, little butterfly!"

Himiko groaned, "Ugh, what happened?"

Ladybug knelt down, "Some supervillain decided to take advantage of your emotions."

Tenko furiously thanked Ladybug.

"Hey, what about me?" Chat pouted.

"Suffer," She sneered back.

A large mass of butterflies appeared in front of the two superheroes.

By now, a bunch of news outlets had appeared and were now live streaming the thing.

The butterflies formed a face, "I am Monarch. I will cut to the chase and tell you that I am going to take both of your miraculous, you two."

Ladybug huffed, "I won't allow you to take advantage of the civilians anymore. You will never have the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous as long as Ladybug and Chat Noir stand tall!"

The butterflies started to fly away. Ladybug huffed, before her earrings interrupted her by beeping.

"Uh, time limit," Chat warned her. Ladybug nodded.

"Bug out!" She swung away from the scene. Chad's ring also started beeping.

"Same goes for me!" He launched himself away.

Kaede collapsed on her bed, "That was fun!"

Tikki giggled, eating a cookie, "It was!"

"Is there any way for me to detransform without using the lucky charm?"

"Yes, just say, "Spots off", Kaede!" Tikki informed.

Kaede nodded. She got out a tissue box, "I can make you something later, but for now, you'll have to sleep in this."

Tikki pushed it behind Kaede's computer, "Just so no one sees!"

She nodded, "Good night Tikki."

"Good night Kaede."

Rantaro landed inside his room just as he detransformed.

Plagg flew out of the ring.

"That was awesome!" Rantaro spun around in place.

"You have any cheese?" Plagg asked.

"No, sorry," Rantaro apologized, "IN the meantime, have this." He handed Plagg an avocado.

He glanced at the avocado, then Rantaro, "You eat these?"

"Yeah?"

"That's cannibalism."

Rantaro sputtered, "Wow."

"Just teasing kid," He ate the avocado and laid down on Rantaro's pillow.

Rantaro changed into his pajamas and also laid down, "Good night Plagg."

"Good night Rantaro."

Shuichi leaned over Kaede the next morning, "Did you see the news yesterday?"

Kaede nodded, "Ladybug and Chat Noir, right?"

Shuichi nodded, "I got tons of footage yesterday."

Kaede sputtered, "You were at the fight?"

"Hey, don't blame me. Superheroes are cool," He scrolled on his phone a bit. "I think I'm gonna start a blog about them."

"A blog?" Rantaro asked, sitting down.

"Yeah. For news clips and stuff."

"Ooo, you could try to figure out their secret identities!" Kokichi leaned on Shuichi's shoulder.

Shuichi snorted, "Do you realize how stupid that would be? If Monarch finds the blog and I guessed correctly, she would go after their families."

Kokichi paused, "Fair. Very fair."

The teacher walked into class, "Now class, yesterday was very exciting, I know, but we must get started."

The class slowly quieted down.

Kaede could feel a comforting pat from inside her backpack at the same time Rantaro felt a figure lean against his side from his shirt's inside pocket.

(A/N: Boom 1st Akuma! Also I'd like to establish now, I'd like to focus on using relationships to defeat akumas in this story (example: Kaede making fun of Tenko in this chapter to rile Himiko up) so be prepared for lots of relationships to be exploited)
