~Kagome's POV~

Petting Gruff as I walked out of Uncle's house I waved goodbye to mother and walked to school. It's been several years since I and mother came here with Uncle. Uncle has been very kind and signed me up for school which I love school though I don't have many friends. Mother smiled returned after a few months living here. She seemed to love it here, she made new friends and no one hurt mother. I saw grandfather once or twice but he was always interrupted by this one man, Envi, I believe. He was the one that caused father to be that way when I was younger. Envi apologized to me and mother, though I doubt that father will forgive him. The day was new though being dark, It's always dark in the pitch-black world. I heard the honey-sweet voice whisper in the wind.

The voice sounded male this time, I've been hearing these voices ever since I was a little girl. Mother always told me that the whispering of the winds is our ancestors watching out for us and guiding us. I believe mother's words and listen to those voices as they always guide me to and from places in this pitch-black world. "Good morning, Kagome," I looked up to see Hanten and Kurotsuno on a walk. "Good morning Ms. Hanten Good morning Ms. Kurotsuno," I politely said as Kurotsuno gave a quick nod towards me. "How's your mother Kagome?" Kurotsuno asked as she stopped in front of me and gave off an expressionless stare. Lately, mother hasn't been feeling well and Uncle has become quite concern for mother's well-being. "She's still bedridden and Uncle believes that it has to do with her being a Phoenix and needs a source of light," I sighed sadly as I watched a shadow fly into the glow of the never-resting moon.

"That must be Chlomaki visiting with the medicine to try and heal your mother," Hanten simply gave a small smile. I only nodded my head and looked towards the house where I saw Chlomaki enter the house. "Father has been relentless trying to get my attention and annoying me," I looked at Kurotsuno, "I think he's such a pest that if I had the chance I will kill him." Be happy, smile and move along. That voice again. "Well atleast you have a father Ms. Kurotsuno," I started and caught the attention of the two, "I never see my father and besides father is the whole reason mother is like the way she is," I closed my eyes and saw the images of mother crying for nights on end, waking up from nightmares and being comforted by Uncle and Auntie many times a night, "if I was you," I opened my eyes and smiled towards Kurotsuno, "I would try and make up with your father and enjoy the bounding time you have, cause you never know when you might lose him."

Kurotsuno gasped and took a step back, "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-" I held up my hand and gave another small smile, "it's fine I understand that not everything can end in a happily ever after. Like those simple fairy-tales mother use to tell me when I was younger." I gave off a sad sigh as I remember the simple days out in the barren lands, in mothers homeworld. Her sad smile as she went day in and day out taking care of me and making sure I had everything. "I'm so sorry, Kagome," I looked back up at Kurotsuno and sighed, "I wasn't thinking about what I was saying, do you want to go to Maekami's place until school."

Maekami is a gentle demon that runs a bar. Though he's mostly quiet he'll talk on some occasions whenever he wants to put his input in. Sighing I nodded my head and walked towards the familiar building I came accustomed to. Breathing in the fresh scent of coffee I looked over to the bar to see Maekami cleaning a few of the cups made of glass. "Yo, what's a popping, Maekami?" Hanten taunted as Maekami looked up from the cup. He gave a disappointed sigh and set the cup down reaching underneath the bar and pulling out a drink for Hanten like it was normal. "Good Morning, Kagome," Maekami nodded his head towards me and I gave a simple nod back. "Good morning Mr. Maekami," I sat on the stool as Kurotsuno sat beside me as Hanten gulped the liquor down. "If you get drunk here, you idiot, I'm not dragging you back home," Kurotsuno said with an annoyed sigh.

Hanten gave a chuckle and slammed down the drink, "oh come on Kuro-chan just lay back and relax." Hanten sat down and leaned backward. Me and Kurotsuno groaned with annoyance as Hanten chuckled once more. "Mr. Maekami," he looked up and gave a knowing hum, "do you might know when Uncle will return from work?" I watched the slack in his shoulders tense. "I have no idea, Kagome," he paused, "is this something to do with your mother, Kagome, has she gotten worst?" I shook my head as mother was still laying in the bed being tended to by one of the maids Grandfather assigned to take care of mother. "Why then are you asking about Sir Glasses?" I sighed as Maekami set the usual orange juice I always ask for while I'm here with someone or just trying to get away from the house. "I want to see my father," Maekami stopped mid-track and the glass fell to the floor and shattered, "I want to tell him something that has been bothering me for the longest time."

"Kagome," I looked over at Kurotsuno, "is it because I mentioned mean things about my father that you want to see yours." I shook my head and sighed, "its mostly for mother's sake really, I just wanna know why." I picked up the glass as Maekami came around the counter and cleaned up the rest of broken glass of the cup he accidentally dropped. Taking a sip and slowly gulping down the sweet nectar of the orange juice. "You can just always ask Lord Satanick to see your father, Kagome," I looked to where Maekami was kneeling and cleaning up the glass, "I'm pretty sure Lord Satanick would be delighted to let you see your father." I nodded my head and stared down at the half-empty glass, "Uncle told me that Grandfather can be quite 'weird' and doesn't want me being near him unless mother or someone else is inside the room."

"I see then why not ask Mr. Sullivan since he's supposed to be coming home and visit Kurotsuno again," Makami simply stated as I saw the tension of Kurotsuno's shoulders as she looked over at Maekami. "Again?" it was a simple question as Maekami just nodded and sighed as he finished picking up the pieces and threw them into the trash, "this is his fifth time coming home for a day." I nudged Kurotsuno as she looked down at me, "just give him a chance." Kurotsuno's lime yellow iris's gleaned for a brief moment before she sighed in defeat and looked over a Maekami with a sadden expression. "I'll do it for your sake Kagome, I just hope your right on this," Kurotsuno sighed as she took a sip of her drink. The alarm on my phone started going off, standing up I patted my skirt and tighten the coat around me I waved goodbye to Kurotsuno, Hanten, and Maekami.

~Time Skip (cause I'm tired and typing this at 3 in the morning)~

I left the school smiling as I held onto my latest test. 100%. Mother is going to be proud. Humming and skipping along the path I waved towards the weeping reaper, Shikabone. He paused his weeping and waved back, even showing a small sad smile. I stopped my skipping and walked over to Shikabone, "What's the matter, Mr. Shikabone?" I asked as I sat next to the weeping reaper. "Oh, the normal that's all," Shikabone gave a sad sigh, "how's your mother, Kagome?" He asked as he went to reach for the usual sycthe he carried around. "She's still bedridden and Chlomaki is trying her hardest trying to get mother well," I sighed as I reached for my lime-green hair. Red highlights seemed to run deep in the family as I had them very well and bright.

I stick out like a sore thumb in this dark world. "That's sad to hear," I felt the pat of Shikabone as he spoke once more, "if nothing can be done then who knows what might happen to your mother and you." I only nodded my head as I looked up at the darkening sky. "I better get home before mother starts to worry," I slid off the rock and stood dusting myself off. "Then let me guide you home then," he hummed cheerily, "it would be rude to let you walk alone." I only nodded my head and started walking down the path to the familiar scenery of the mansion. It was quiet until I reached the doorsteps where Gruff was happily bobbing their head as Gruff greeted me. "Well take care Kagome and say hi to your mother for me," Shikabone waved goodbye and left walking down the path once more. Entering the house I saw the horrors as the maids were on the ground, bloodied and wounded.

Mother. Mother is in danger. I ran through the house, tears streaming down my face. Reaching upon mother's room I saw the door closed. Mother never closes the door. Something isn't right. Grabbing the handle I tried to open it, but the door didn't budge. It's locked. I could hear muffled screams coming from the inside. "Mother," I cried out, banging on the door. I could hear the grunting and despite cries from someone inside the room. Go get someone to help. I gasped and took off in the opposite direction towards the bar of Maekami. Before retiring he was one of Grandma's most fearsome men so maybe he can help mother. Reaching the small bar I opened the door to only see Kurotsuno and Mr. Sullivan talking and for once Kurotsuno smiling. Maekami just simply wiping the counters down.

"Mr. Maekami," I ran up to the counter and collapsed there. "Kagome," I looked up to see Maekami looking in my general direction, "what's the matter?" I stood shakily on my legs and pointed towards the general direction of the mansion. "Someone broke into my house and wounded the maids and is attacking mother," I rasped as I steadied myself, "I need help. Please help me Mr. Maekami." I watch from the corner of my eye Mr. Sullivan became tense and patted Kurotsuno on the shoulder before standing. "Are they still in the house?" Mr. Sullivan asked as he gritted his teeth. I nodded my head, "yeah they locked mother's door and I think they might be hurting mother." Maekami jumped over the counter holding those daggers that were normally hanging on the wall.

"I'll go ahead," Maekami made his way to the door, "make sure Lord Satanick knows about this attack and tell Sir Glasses as well." Maekami then took off out the door and Mr. Sullivan pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number then looked over at us, "Oli- Kurotsuno watch Kagome and make sure no one I mean no one that you don't know lay a single foot in here alright." I felt the sudden yank of someone pulling me as we went behind the counter and Kurotsuno gestured me to duck down. "Understand father," I heard Kurotsuno say before ducking down as well. Everything is caving around us again, just like the time mother's village found us and tried to drag us back to their village. Then grandmother's rudeness to mother, the pain that grandmother caused, made mother change forever.

Welp, this is the next chapter so it's going smoothly and next chapter I will reveal who was hurting Yosafire but in her perspective and it will have a warning cause it will display sexual content and it's better to warn the readers to cause then its not like I'm slapping you in the face like 'hello~ here are some lovely sex scenes~ enjoy!' I would like to express it as though as such to make it so that many understand the meanings of some cultures and how many treat the single mothers and the children are affected as well. I was aiming to create this story as a type of proof that not everything you read or see is as one-sided as they seemed. Plus I had a rude person delete one of my most famous stories and thinking it was funny to brag about it so I intended this to get to them and see what they are doing is wrong and insensible in many different ways and it needs to stop...... but anyways see ya in the next chapter

Bye~Bye~
