Training (Journal Log)

For spending over two months in the New Japan Dojo, it was like training gladiators. I was being pushed to his absolute limit every single day. Doing warm ups of 4 sets and 30 reps, testing and improving my physical and core strength through lifting the barbells, showing my knowledge of chain wrestling while mixing up with the way of Strong Style, taking bumps and falls in the ring, just everything about how the many wrestlers before me have experienced in this Dojo.

Nagata-sensei, Ishii-senpai, and Saito-sensei are no freaking joke. They live and breath Strong Style wrestling. Even since their spirit and discipline hails here in the land of the rising sun. I even began to learn what they had to do first before becoming worldwide sensations. I would wake up at 4:30 in the morning, do my warm up routine, grab my stuff and would jog about 3/4 of a mile to the Dojo.

Even during my time adjusting to my new lifestyle, I would cook for them, wash the ring gear, help set up the ring before the shows would start, and even would look and observe the matches at ringside. Having to experience what the world of Japanese wrestling is like can be mind blowing for everyone.

And when I would go back to my apartment after training, I would keep in contact with my father. When he won the WWE World Championship at the Backlash PPV in 2016, he had shocked the world that the main title became his first title reign in the WWE. And when during his iconic match with John Cena at the Royal Rumble back in January of 2017, it helped me be more inspired to put the best matches that I can serve to the world, no matter what opponent I shall face in the squared circle.

For like 2 more months, my mentors was impressed that I was able to go through every barrier that I have to break through. When it came to their final decision, they said I was ready. And I couldn't be any more happier. When they told me about the wrestling school called the Berserk Gym, I found out that I would be sent there till I can be noticed to be part of the New Japan locker room or any locker room of every well known wrestling promotion today. But intergender wrestling? Even though it is a topic for both comedy and entertainment, having to face the opposite sex in the squared circle is going to be quite new to me.
