A/N: So... hi my lovely peoples. I was going to be a mean author and not update this for about a week but my old friend insomnia has decided to drop by and after spending about 3 hours on YouTube, I decided in my current state of insanity I would update! Let's see how horribly wrong this will go! Enjoy! :)

Third Person POV

Fright Knight watched in horror as green blood leaked from his beloved's wound, staining her beautiful dress. A small trail of blood leaked from her mouth and her breath's were shaky. He fell to his knees beside her.  Scarlet's body slowly rose from the ground, her eyes blood red. She raised an eyebrow at the mourning King and his dying bride, and chuckled. "Hmm, not my intended target, but I can make this work." She mused. While she toyed with another one of her daggers, no one knew how to react. They were all frozen. Sam was the first to break the silence that had filled the room, aside from Nina's desperate gasps for air. Clockwork and Danny had knelt down beside the couple and were doing their best to try and save her.

Sam aimed her blaster at Scarlet, "I knew you were nothing but trouble from the moment I met you." She hissed.

Scarlet gasped mockingly, a hand resting on her chest, "Why Samantha, your words, oh how they wound me! Do you not remember our little moment in the girl's restroom." She fully turned her body to face Sam, placing a hand on her chin. "I recall complimenting you on your beautiful eyes. A wonderful shade of violet." Sam tried the blush that came to her cheeks, causing Scarlet's grin to grow wider. She whipped her head to the side, her bright hair cutting through the air, "Anyways, I have a schedule to keep. And you all are currently interfering with it."

Tucker scoffed, "I don't know if you've realized it yet, but it's all of us against you. There's no way you're leaving." All the ghosts gripped their weapons even tighter and shuffled the slightest bit closer to the cloaked girl.

Scarlet looked at the teen from the corner of her eye, pretending to ignore the slowly approaching army, "What makes you think you even have a fighting chance?" She threw the dagger in her hand at the nearest ghost, causing them to scream in pain, before rushing towards the distracted group at the back of the room. Another dagger was pulled from inside her cloak and she gripped it tightly in her hand. Everyone began firing upon her, no one holding back. Dani charged up balls of ice with ecto energy and launched them at Scarlet while Sam, Tucker and Jazz fired their blasters at her. The rest of the ghosts in the room hurled everything the had at the girl, ice, fire, sound waves, shadows, and much more. She dodged every attack with ease.

Meanwhile, Clockwork was busy trying to heal Nina's wound. He had removed the dagger and now had his hands hovering over the wound, focusing all his energy into healing it. Nina reached for Fright Knight's hand and he held it, placing her palm against his cheek. "Why Nina... Why?"

Nina coughed, "I love you Pavor. And if anyone needs to live it's..." Nina sucked in a deep breath and then started to cough. When the coughing stopped, she resumed her sentence, "it's you beloved. I am just a simple maid."

Tears fell from Fright Knight's eyes, "You are far from being a 'simple maid' my love." Danny's insides twisted with guilt. He felt so useless, just sitting there, watching Nina die. He had been absentmindedly listening to the battle when a flash of color in the corner of his eye caught his attention. Scarlet.

Danny saw her coming and got up to stand in front of the three still on the floor, determined to protect them at all cost. Nina needed to live, Fright Knight needed her. The Ghost Zone would finally have order restored to it, no matter what a stupid prophecy said. The halfa curled his hands into fists and let glowing green flames cover them. He felt the pendant under his shirt provide him with the energy needed to use this power. Scarlet stopped dead in her tracks as she saw the flames dancing across the teen's hands. Everyone's attack on her stopped as well as they noticed the rage in the teen's eyes. "Well, little Phantom, you are just full of surprises," Scarlet chuckled.

"Leave... Now," Danny said darkly. He was prepping himself to use his Ghostly Wail, despite knowing the risks. He couldn't allow anything else to go wrong. Danny mentally warned the castle about what he was going to potentially do, so it could prepare itself for the powerful attack.

Scarlet just smiled, "And why would I do that darling? You know this is the way things are meant to be." She looked up at the angered teen, staring deep into his eyes. "You know it is your destiny to rule the Ghost Zone. You are the only one who can bring the Ghost Zone into a new era. An era of peace and rebirth." Sheextended her hand towards Danny. "Join me little Phantom. You know it is what you were meant to do." Her gaze was locked with Danny's. He fought the thoughts swirling through his mind.

'My Diamond'

The flames on Danny's hand flickered out. All eyes were on him, and expressions of horror appeared on everyone's face. He walked towards Scarlet, eyes focused on nothing but her. Clockwork and Fright Knight merely just watched the boy. Scarlet still had her hand outstretched, "So, you have decided?"

Danny nodded, but remained silent. He took a deep breath in and raised his hand. Instead of taking her hand, Danny curled his hand back into a fist, quickly drew it back and punched her right in the face. A sickening crack could be heard and Scarlet was knocked onto the ground, clutching her nose that was now dripping blood. Danny stared down at her, "Your mind tricks don't work on me anymore Scarlet. I have been training with Nocturne and my mind can no longer be twisted against my will."

Scarlet spat blood onto the ground as ghosts began to swarm around her. She looked at all the ghosts and shrugged, "Oh well, then I guess we're going with plan B." Scarlet charged at Danny, effectively knocking him onto the ground. She headed straight for Fright Knight, Clockwork and Nina.

"Stop her!" Danny shouted. Scarlet reached for something inside her cloak as she was fired upon. Many ghosts tried to attack her head on, but failed. She reached the group on the floor and Fright Knight stood, drawing his sword. Clockwork was busy focusing all his energy into healing Nina's deadly wound caused by the Spirit Dagger. It was killing her, but Clockwork was doing his best to reverse the process.

Scarlet frowned at Fright Knight as she neared him, "You had your chance to kick the bucket Frighty. Now I have to finish what I started." Scarlet shouted at him as she barreled past the King. She rammed straight into Clockwork, knocking him away from Nina. She pulled out a small vial from her cloak containing a deep purple liquid with flecks of silver in it. She forcefully opened Nina's mouth and poured the liquid into her mouth. Fright Knight grabbed the back of Scarlet's cloak, pulling her away from his beloved, but it was too late. Scarlet's poison was taking its effect. Nina began to choke, coughing up green blood. Her hands went to her throat, as choked screams tried to force their way out of her mouth.

"Nina!" Fright Knight screamed, rushing to her side. He sat her up, trying to prevent her from choking on her own blood.

Scarlet sucked in air through her teeth, "Yikes, that looks pretty bad." She turned towards the crowd. "Well, it looks like you all have your hands full, so I'll just take my leave." The crowd of ghosts braced for another attack, much to Scarlet's delight. Her eyes fell upon Danny, "I just need to take what's rightfully mine." The girl flew at Danny, wrapping him in a hug. Her cloak folded around them and in a flash of light, Danny was gone.

Scarlet fell to the floor, unconscious. A split second later, her eyes flew open and she bolted upright with a scream. Her breaths were short and quick and her eyes were deep green in color. She soon found herself staring up at hundreds of weird looking creatures, and she screamed in terror, scrambling backwards. Sam approached the girl, pointing her blaster at Scarlet, "Where is Danny?!" She questioned angrily.

"W-Who?" Scarlet replied.

Sam leaned closer to Scarlet, "Where... Is... Danny?!" She screamed.

"Who is Danny?!" Scarlet screamed back. Looks of confusion and anger spread through the crowd surrounding her. Tears spilled from her eyes. "P-Please. I j-just want to g-go home. They s-said I could go home." Scarlet wrapped her arms around her knees and lowered her head, her body shaking with sobs.

Sam backed away from the girl, realization dawning on her. Before she could voice her discovery, everyone's attention went to the sobbing King. Sam, Jazz, Tucker, Dani, and Talia all rushed over the quickest. Dani gasped and Talia began to sob into Tucker's shoulder who had a look of sadness on his face. Jazz clapped a hand over her mouth and tears spilled from her eyes as she shuffled closer to Sam, who was doing her best not to break down at the scene she was witnessing. A few tears even leaked from Clockwork's eyes. Everyone gathered around them, some crying, some showing no emotion at all.

For in the center, was the Ghost King holding the now dead Queen.
