Chapter 1: Many Years Ago

A/N: Hey-o peoples I'm back and I brought with me the long awaited, SEQUEL TO THE HALFA PRINCE!

Third Person POV

Clockwork paced back and forth in his tower, shifting from form to form. A delicate hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Do stop pacing beloved, you'll wear your energy down until you really look like an Elder Spirit," a female spirit teased.

Clockwork stopped his pacing and placed his hand on top of the one on his shoulder, "You're right Serenity, but I just can't stop thinking about him. Why haven't we done anything yet? Why hasn't Lumen told me where the Pendant is? How did Vizier get the artifacts? Why-"

Serenity flew around and placed a finger on Clockwork's lips, "Questions are the Inquisitors jobs. You just need to worry about events to come."

Clockwork smiled and gently took Serenity's hand, "And you keep me balanced."

She giggled, "When I'm not keeping an eye on my sister and that friend of yours."

Clockwork mocked being surprised, "What? Nocturne and Chaos causing trouble? Preposterous!"

Serenity laughed and gave Clockwork a kiss on the cheek, "Remember my love, things will get better. Try not to wear yourself down until I get back."

Clockwork bowed and kissed Serenity's hand, "You have my word, my dear."

"I'm going to hold you on that then." Serenity flew out of the tower and Clockwork quickly gained a frown on his face. He turned to the great glass screen that allowed him to view the future.

Waving his staff in front of it, he began to watch. The Ghost Zone was in shambles. Vizier and Pariah Dark were destroying everything. But Clockwork would not interfere. Not yet at least.

An image appeared on the screen, it was his former Brother Spirit Vizier. He was heading towards Clockwork's tower. 'No doubt to gloat over his victory' Clockwork thought as he prepared for Vizier's arrival.

THE ALL MIGHTY TIME JUMP

"Had enough brother?!" Vizier screamed as he blasted his red energy at Clockwork. Both ghosts held multiple wounds and Clockwork was nearing defeat. Pariah's energy combined with Vizier's was strong. But Clockwork would not give up.

He fired a blue bolt of energy at Vizier, knocking him back and causing him to smash into the wall. He slumped to the ground unconscious. Clockwork sunk to the ground panting and stared at the floor.

"CLOCKWORK!" a female's voice cried.

Clockwork looked up to see that Vizier wasn't unconscious and was firing a large bolt of dark red energy at him. But instead of the bolt making contact with Clockwork, it hit someone else.

Serenity screamed as she was struck and landed on Clockwork.

"NO!" Clockwork shouted as he took his love in his arms and held her close. There was a large hole on her chest and she had multiple burns on her body.

"Clockwork," she whispered as she slowly raised a hand.

Clockwork took her hand, "I'm so sorry my love," she spoke.

Clockwork shook his head, "You have no need to be sorry. Save your strength, everything is going to be alright."

Serenity took in a shaky breath, "No beloved. I must go now."

Tears spilled from Clockwork's eyes, "No, no do not say that. You will be fine.

Serenity smiled up at Clockwork, "We both know that isn't true my love.

Clockwork held Serenity close, pressing his forehead against hers allowing tears to fall onto her face. "Please do not leave me Serenity. I can't go on without you."

Serenity laughed, her laugh turning into a cough, "Yes you can, there will be another someday. He will save you. Protect him."

She raised her other hand to cup Clockwork's cheek as their foreheads separated, "I will always love you, my Soul."

Clockwork placed his hand on top of the one on his cheek, "As will I."

He leaned down and gave Serenity a kiss on the lips. Closing his eyes as more tears fell, he felt her slip away until he was left holding empty air.

Sadness and rage boiled inside Clockwork. He slowly stood up, tears still falling, and stared at Vizier who had watched the entire ordeal with horror in his eyes.

Vizier had killed Serenity, but he hadn't meant to. That bolt was meant for Clockwork, Serenity would have been his. But now she's gone forever, and Clockwork still lived.

Clockwork's eyes glowed with rage, his staff burst into flames, his aura glowed bright. He shifted rapidly between forms until he settled on one that no Spirit, not even Serenity, had seen.

His true form.

Vizier stared in awe at the Spirit before him. "VIZIER!" the Great Spirit cried, "BY THE POWERS OF THE ANCIENTS AND THE MIGHT OF THE ELDERS, I BANISH YOU TO THE OTHER WORLD!"

The Great Spirit slammed his mighty staff on the ground and a portal opened up behind Vizier, pulling him in.

When the portal closed, the Great Spirit disappeared and Clockwork floated in the tower once again. The staff slipped from his fingers and he sank to the ground in exhaustion and grief. Tears spilled from his eyes.

"Clockwork!" a voice cried. The Time Spirit glanced up and saw the Spirits Nocturne and Chaos. Nocturne helped Clockwork up, "What happened? Chaos said she felt a disturbance," Nocturne told.

"Vizier," was all Clockwork said in return.

"Wait, where's Serenity?" Chaos asked worriedly.

More tears spilled from Clockwork's eyes. Chaos gasped as she understood what happened to her Sister Spirit and began to weep as well. A few tears spilled from Nocturne's eyes.

"Now, without a doubt, we must take down Pariah," Nocturne said.

Clockwork and Chaos looked up at the large Spirit and nodded. The three of them left Clockwork's tower to find the other Elder Spirits.

While they flew Serenity's words rang in Clockwork's head, 'There will be another someday. He will save you. Protect him.'

Who was she talking about?
