After their dinner Steve had decided to walk YN home. As they walked in the direction to YNs apartment Steve kept glancing at her as the wind blew in her hair, her cheeks a tint of pink from the cold. Having the courage to ask YN to take his virginity that night was the best thing he ever did, because now he was going to be a father.

"How far along are you exactly?" Steve asked pushing his hands into his pockets. YN shrugged lightly before turning her head up at Steve.

"I haven't been to the doctors yet, but I'm guessing around 2-3 weeks maybe, which is why I'm trying to keep it hush hush." YN explained turning her attention back to the path in front of her.

"How many people know already?" He asked and YN blew out a breath as she pulled her bag strap on her shoulder.

"Too many." She replied before stopping at the carpark connected to her apartment complex. She looked up at him and could see the hint of excitement on his face. "Nat, Sharon and Wanda know."

"The girls then?" Steve questioned with a smile and YN let out a small laugh as she looked down. Steve's smile grew even wider letting out a small laugh himself.

"Pretty much." YN connected her eyes to Steve's and felt something twitch in her stomach. The super soldiers smile dropped ever so slightly as his gaze flicked to YNs lips. Steve swallowed the lump in his throat before gently leaning forward to close the gap between them. YN had also looked at his lips and her breath hitched as his lips came closer to hers. A sudden movement from YN stepping away caused Steve to pull back. He couldn't ignore the hurt he felt but knew he had overstepped ever so slightly. YN on the other hand felt panicked. She didn't want him getting the wrong idea and she didn't want to lead him on, especially with the baby.

"I..-" Steve interrupted himself with a rushed voice before stepping back himself. "Sorry, I shouldn't have.."

"No, it's okay.. I-" YN was interrupted by Steve and she played with the hem of her blouse.

"I'll see you later YN." Steve said before retreating. YN watched as he left and let out a loud and long breath before pulling her keys from her bag and swiping her fob on the gate to let her in.

As she ascended the stairs to her apartment she couldn't help but wonder why on earth she stepped away. He was a good looking guy, he was sweet and caring and about to be the father of her baby. So why on earth did she just step away!

YN unlocked her door and entered her apartment. She took her bag off of her shoulder and placed it on the back of her sofa. She grabbed a glass of orange juice before taking herself to her bedroom, changed into her pyjamas and put something on the TV.

She picked up her phone and decided to text Steve about tomorrow morning.

YN: we need to go over a parenting schedule tomorrow. It could be done later down the line but I want to make sure we have every possible option of childcare if you're called away on missions and I'm at work.

Steve: okay, I'll see you tomorrow.

Biting her lip she turned the screen off and turned in for the night. She needs some sleep especially if she's going to try and ignore the fact Steve had tried to kiss her tonight.

YN woke up to the sound of someone knocking on her door. She tumbled out of bed grabbing her dressing gown, wrapping it around herself and walking to her front door. She opened it up and came face to face with a large bouquet of flowers. Daffodil to be exact. A breath left YNs lips as she took the bouquet in her hands and placed them on the side table beside the door.

"Thank you." YN said to the delivery man who handed her a card and a awkward smile before walking away. She closed her door and picked up the flowers before taking them to her kitchen side and placing them on there. Steve was good at apologies but this was over the top.

YN,
Been a few days since you called. I got a feeling whenever I'm near you and thought you'd felt it to.. so I'm asking in a very old fashioned way if you wanted to get together and have dinner?

YN smiled at the letter a little relief at the fact it wasn't Steve. Not that she wouldn't take the apology but it wasn't really necessary! She plucked on of the daffodils from the bunch, brining it to her nose and smelling it lightly. She hadn't text Thomas for a few days and she had kind of missed him.

Going to the bedroom she picked up her phone and sent a little text to Thomas thanking him for the flowers and inviting him over for a movie night this evening. Not even a few minutes later YNs phone buzzed and it was a text from Thomas agreeing to come over. At the moment she realised she would have to tell him about the baby. Maybe she could hold it out for a few more weeks.

2pm had rolled around quicker than YN would have liked because she hadn't done half of the stuff she needed. Grabbing her car keys and apartment keys she rushed down to her car, getting in and driving to the compound.

Once she arrived, Tony was also arriving and clocked her before she managed to get through the front door.

"Baby Romanoff!" Tony called out causing YN to flinch ever so slightly at the nickname. She turned in her heel and smiled at the billionaire. He was spouting his famous toothy grin as he walked towards her before embracing her in hug.

"Tony!" She greeted him and returned his hug. She always felt really comfortable around all the avengers, it never was just Nat and Yelena as her family. They all were. YN pulled away and looked at Tony.

"I haven't seen you since the get together the other night. You usually come around a lot more often. Where you been hiding?" Tony questioned. YN let out a little laugh her gaze falling to her feet before returning to Tony's eyes.

"I've been dealing with a few things, that's all." YN responded.

"Tom has been asking for you. He got a little worried. He said you went from talking everyday to nothing." Tony said. YN narrowed her eyes lightly which didn't go unnoticed by Tony. "I think he's got a small crush on you."

"Yeah, I got that vibe after the flowers he sent this morning." Tony laughed and placed a hand on her shoulder in a comforting manor. "We made plans to have a movie night tonight."

"I'm sure that cheered him up." Tony sent YN a wink before they both walked into the compound conversing in conversation. YN noticed Steve sat on a chair by the bookcases and chess tables. She stalked over towards him and he had already got a planner in his hand.

"You've already got started I see." YN said and sat down in front of him. Steve looked up at YN briefly before looking back down to the paper in front of him. She could feel the awkwardness in the air but she decided to ignore it.

"Yeah well, your schedule at work is set so nothing will change there. I was thinking we could do a 3 days on, 3 days off kind of schedule. So I'll have the baby for 3 days, then you'll have the baby for 3 days for example." YN stared at Steve with a small smile on her face. "Then if I ever get called for a mission we could hire a nanny and the same nanny can look after the baby when you're at work."

YN looked at the schedule Steve had made and saw how in-depth and detailed he had gone to, to make sure your baby had a good life and time with both parents.

"Steve, this is perfect." YN said earning a small smile from Steve. "How long did this take?" YN could see the slight bags under Steve's eyes just as he yawned.

"Pretty much all night. When you text saying about it, I couldn't wait and just.. it just happened." Steve replied and ran her finger on the paper.

"You did good."
