LAMB

I met her today.
Like a tiger who came to obtain his prey,
I wanted to speak up,
let my feelings flow like the endless sea.

But suddenly, I became a lamb,
a coward at that.
Words were stolen from my mouth;
their whereabouts, I knew nothing about.

I just stared after saying hi.
She greeted back and waited for my reply.
Instead, I said nothing.
I just dived into a pit of silence.

Then she left,
not with disappointment,
but with the face of disgust.
In that moment, I knew I'd forever lost my chance.
But is forever always forever?
