Jun Freecss is a to be Hunter and the oldest son of Ging Freecss. Jun followed Gon to become a Hunter and find his father.

Appearance:

Jun is a young boy with short spiky black hair and large, hazel brown eyes. His usual outfit is composed of a long sleeves tan shirt with a white tank top underneath, dark brown pants with a black belt and grey and dark grey shoes.

Personality:

Jun is athletic, rustic, and an agitated teenager who loves going on adventures. He is also very intelligent and thinks before he acts. He is very good with animals, so much that they follow him in the forest. Jun is a Manipulator, who are known for being logical and argumentative.  His argumentativeness leads him into annoying his enemies and making them slip up in battle. He has inhuman senses; Jun has great vision and hearing. (His taste and smell aren't as good as Gon's). Jun wants to become the best Hunter in the entire world like his father and wants to find out more about the world and it's mysteries.

His flaws are that he over thinks and focuses on his goals. Because he overthinks situations (which can sometimes be good and bad) it leads to him not wanting to continue with the plan and going on his own way. He is quick to snap at people when they don't agree with him and thinks he is weaker than them. He hates being underestimated because of his age and wants to prove people wrong. He doesn't always strive to obtain greater power, he focuses on his weak points and not on his stronger talents. When he is upset his anger does not get the best of him and he stops and understands the seriousness of the situation. He becomes level-headed and closes off things that aren't important, which is why he comes off as cold most of the time. When people say they kill people for fun or for other reasons he tries to understand them.

When it comes to his abilities and natural talents he feels confident but not extremely. He analysis his flaws and tries to figure out how to defeat someone with his strengths.

Background:

At the age of twenty, Ging Freecss returned home to Whale Island for the first time in eight years carrying his infant son, Gon (2) with his toddler son walking behind him (Jun). When questioned about the child's mother, Ging simply mentions that the pair had separated. While Ging tries to leave Gon and Jun in his grandmother's care for a little while, Ging's cousin Mito is infuriated at Ging's parenting and gets custody through the courts (which may be quite odd, seeing as she would only have been 13 at the time). Ging leaves Whale Island, never to return.

Since his early youth, due to his father's absence and Mito's dislike of Ging, Jun had been told that his parents died in an accident when he was a baby. But at the age of eleven and nine, Gon and Jun are rescued from an angry mother foxbear by a man named Kite — a professional Hunter and a student of their long lost father. After hitting Gon and Jun in the face, Kite attempts to kill the fox bear's cub but Gon protects it, while Jun starts arguing with Kite. Kite is looking for Ging as a final test before his master will consider him to be a true Hunter. Kite's admiration of Ging awakens in Gon a lifetime goal of meeting his father. In order to find and meet Ging, Gon is driven from that moment to obtain a Hunter's License. He cites a desire to know what would cause Ging to choose his profession as a Hunter over being a parent as his motivation for becoming a Hunter. Jun decides to follow his brother not caring much if they find their father or not.
