Skin
Perfectly ordinary,
Small onyx eyes
Pierced with wonted intensity,
Through my sinful soul
Or so I thought
Luscious lips that I had imagined,
Brushing against mine
Ever so often
Silky satin to the touch
Or so I thought
Tall, dark and handsome
Subtle yet striking features
But he was no saint,
They said that he would taint
A woman's reputation with red
I liked him,
Knowing no reason or rhyme
Perhaps it was just a soft spot
That outgrew him
Perhaps it was all just on a whim
Now that I think about it...
There was nothing
Special about him
He was just
Too comfortable in his own skin,
That's how he got under my skin
