Surrounded by walls and halls
Meant to comfort, not to cage
Just the thought of going out
Sounds strangely delightful
Filling us with child like wonder

But we aren't alone
So don't regret and fret
Uncertainty is our new best friend
Not once did it leave our side
So everything is going to be alright

To all the annoyingly happy people
Sitting calmly out there
I suggest, continuing social distancing
After all this is over
Whenever that is

This really long summer
Seems to stretch on and on
Like an endless vacation
In which all I did was
Eat, sleep and repeat
