Jungkook nervously taps his pen on his book as he tries to pay attention in class. You could say the teacher wasn't impressed that he skipped the first half an hour. For the last twenty minutes, the teacher has been asking questions at random for Jungkook to answer-hence why he's anxious-and of course, Jungkook fails to respond each time correctly, making him the laughingstock of the class.

He feels something hit his head and glances down to the ground to see what it is. Leaning over, he grabs the scrunched-up paper and reads 'Is it you?'. Jungkook turns to see a curious-looking Yoongi. Not him too!

He writes on the paper, 'Piss off Yoongi' and throws it back. Out of all people, he doesn't need Yoongi sticking his nose in his business.

The note lands back on his desk with more writing. 'I can only imagine what you two were doing on my bed now. Gross.' Jungkook rolls his eyes. If Yoongi could figure it out, many others must have. He looks around and catches a few people throwing him a glance or two. Great.

I heard that someone found a blindfold in the janitor's closet.

Do you think they were the ones in the theatre?

I knew they were low-key into each other, but I thought it was all a joke.

They were all over each other at the sports carnival, well... at least that's what I heard.

Maybe it's that tall, shy guy?

No way, it's obviously you know who.

I wonder who is sending all the messages.

"Shut up!" Jungkook screeches, burying his head into his arms.

"Jeon Jungkook, what did you just say?!" The teacher yells back, twice as loud as Jungkook's outburst.

"I said, shut up," Jungkook repeats, not caring about the consequences.

Jungkook's phone buzzes, and so does everyone else's. Here we go again.

Anonymous: Come to the front of the school if you want to know who wrote the notes, and most importantly, who they are for.

"Fuck," Jungkook curses under his breath. He thought maybe there was a chance that Mina wouldn't go through with it.

"Everyone off your phones!" The teacher shouts, trying to calm down the class.

It took only one person to get up for the rest to follow. Suddenly it became a race to the front of the school-and of course, Jungkook decided to participate, not wanting to face the teacher's wrath alone.

Jungkook pushes through the crowd, making his way out the front door of the school. He looks up to where everyone is staring and spots Mina, standing close to the roof's ledge.

Who is that?

Isn't she that transfer student?

It's the girl that hangs out with Naeun's friends.

Is she the one sending the messages?

Why is she up there?

"Jungkook! Do you know what's happening?" Seokjin calls out, pulling on Jungkook's shirt.

"Oh, hi. I think you know what's happening," Jungkook replies.

Seokjin leans over to talk into Jungkook's ear. "I would have never thought it would be Mina sending those messages."

Jungkook bitterly laughs. "I knew from the very first message."

"I promise I have nothing to do with any of this," Seokjin says, putting a hand on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Now that you are all here, I shall announce that it is I who sent those messages. I was the one who made the group chat," Mina shouts from the rooftop, making everyone gasp.

"Why is she talking like she is the villain of a movie?" Seokjin whispers into Jungkook's ear.

"Dramatic effect?" Jungkook chuckles nervously. He starts to wonder if she has been up there since lunchtime. That whole time, was she contemplating whether or not to expose Jungkook?

"I know you all must be curious about what these notes mean and who they are for," Mina continues, "and I'm sure some of you already have an idea."

Just say it already!

Give us proof!

Yeah! Hurry up!

"Kim Taehyung, show yourself!" Mina screeches, her fists clenched tightly.

I knew it!

Kim Taehyung?

No way...

"I said, show yourself!" Mina repeats.

A circle in the crowd forms around a figure which Jungkook presumes is Taehyung.

"I'm here; please come down!" Taehyung calls out.

Jungkook notices a book in Mina's hand that looks familiar to the one Naeun claimed to be hers.

"This is all because of you," Mina starts. "Y-You broke your promise, and now you will pay."

"Please come down; we can talk about it," Taehyung replies, looking up in distress.

"It was him! He was the one who wrote the notes," Mina exposes. "He did so despite promising me we would be..." Mina sheds a tear, letting fall down onto the ledge. "You promised me!"

"We were twelve! Don't hold that against me! Please, Mina. Please don't do this."

"Say you love me," Mina demands, "say it!"

"I'm sorry, Mina, I cannot. I'm in love with someone else."

Chatter starts to roar through the crowd, which should be Jungkook's cue to escape, but his feet stay planted.

"Don't make me do it." Everyone watches in anticipation as Mina holds up the book. "This book holds the answers to everyone's questions."

Jungkook's phone starts to ring. He picks it up, "Naeun? I don't think it's the best time to be calling."

"Are you kidding? Get that book off her now!"

"And how do you think I'm going to do that?!"

"There's something I didn't tell you about..."

"I'm hanging up," Jungkook says, ending the call and focusing back on the commotion in front of him.

"Everyone, quiet!" Taehyung yells, gaining the attention of the crowd once again. "Look at you all. This is absolutely insane! Why are you people cheering this on? What's so wrong about the bloody notes anyway?

"I'm sorry, Mina, but this is not okay. How dare you pull this stunt." Taehyung glances around at everyone. "Yes, I am in love with someone. I'm not ashamed of it-not one bit. I do not regret the notes, and quite frankly, I'm kind of glad this is out now; because of that, I now have a chance to let this out.

"That someone I love-which I am sure you all know who by now-happens to be the reason why my heart still beats today. I know you are out there somewhere, so I will like to say this to you and make sure the whole world hears me. Jeon Jungkook, I love you."

Jungkook's heart skips a beat as the crowd starts to squeal. Not every day you have the school's heartthrob-who happens to be his best friend, or dare he say, lover- profess his love for you in front of the entire school. All the attention on him suddenly becomes apparent, and Jungkook tries to hide behind Seokjin.

"And I have always loved you," Taehyung continues, "there is not one day where I don't think about you; in fact, I think about you almost all the time. If you are listening, please forgive me."

Jungkook's cheeks feel like they're about to burn off. He wasn't expecting Taehyung's confession.

"So, Mina, that is why I cannot return that love for you. I respect you as a friend, and I have never, ever thought ill of you. So please, come down!" Taehyung says, looking up to the rooftop again.

"Wow, that was so romantic," Seokjin gushes.

"I'm going to come up there, and we can talk in private, okay?" Taehyung says.

As Taehyung starts to walk, Mina screams, "Don't move!"

"Nobody, move!" She continues to shout. "I-If you... If you d-don't say you love me, I will-" Mina clenches her fists, and her body starts to shake as tears fall. She walks closer to the ledge, not bothering to wipe her tears now. "I said, don't move!" She repeats, seeing Taehyung try to approach the entrance.

"Mina, please calm down!" Taehyung shouts back, making sure not to make any more rash movements.

"Say it, or I-I will-I will jump!" She threatens, making everyone gasp. A sudden wave of panic rushes through all the students as they realise things are starting to go too far.

Jungkook, realising the urgency of the situation, barges through the crowd, apologising to those in his way. He runs as fast as he can, rushing upstairs to the rooftop. He finally reaches the rooftop door, but as he tries to open, he realises the door isn't budging.

"Fuck!" Jungkook curses. "Okay, I can do this."

Jungkook walks back a few steps then throws his entire body at the door, groaning at impact. "Again," he says, self-motivating himself.

Jungkook falls onto the ground as the door flies open. He stands up, quickly brushing himself down and snaps his vision to Mina. "Don't do it!" He shouts, "Mina, please step back down!"

Mina turns her head, just enough to see Jungkook in her side vision. "It's too late, Jungkook. It hurts too much."

Jungkook cautiously takes a few steps forward. "W-We can talk it out."

"You can live happily now," she says, turning back to look down at the crowd once again.

"Mina, please. It's not worth it."

Mina turns her head to look at Jungkook again, who is nearly in reach now. "W-Why are you here?"

"I can't just sit here and watch you jump?!" Jungkook inches closer again. "Don't be insane."

"You're meant to hate me," she says, glancing back down at the ground below. "I don't have anything left to live for."

"Step down, Mina, please. We can talk it out."

Mina pauses like she is contemplating Jungkook's offer.

"Mina..."

"Why are you so kind to me?" She sobs. "You have nothing to gain from helping me."

"I don't need a reason to be kind. Please step down," Jungkook begs.

"Fine," Mina gives in, turning around to get down from the ledge. Jungkook watches as she starts to lose her balance.

"Careful," Jungkook says, moving closer to the girl in case she slips.

Mina screeches as her foot slips. Jungkook reacts instantly, his heart dropping as Mina falls. He reaches out to grab Mina's hand. The crowd goes into a panic, watching in disbelief. The only thing separating Mina and the fall is Jungkook's grip.

Mina, with her eyes shut tightly, panics. "H-Help!"

"Give me your other hand!" Jungkook shouts.

"I-I can't-"

"You can do it!"

Mina reaches with her other arm, letting Jungkook get a better grip.

"Okay, I'm going to pull up on three," Jungkook warns. "One, two, three- "

"Ahh- "

"I can't do it! My arms are too weak," Jungkook cries out, tears streaming down his face.

He can't let this happen. He can't let her fall. Jungkook takes a deep breath before counting down from three again. "One, two, three!" he pulls, and miraculously Mina becomes much lighter.

"Keep pulling!" Taehyung appears at his side, helping Jungkook pull her up.

Jungkook stares at the boy doe-eyed.

"Don't just stare, pull!" Taehyung reminds, snapping Jungkook out of his daze.

Jungkook and Taehyung pull with all their strength, propelling Mina back up to the ledge safely.

Mina collapses on the ground in tears. "I-I'm sorry."

"It's all fine now," Jungkook leans down to comfort the girl, offering a shoulder to cry on. He breathes a sigh in relief that they managed to pull that off.

"I owe you my life," she mutters under her breath, as people start to flood through onto the rooftop to see the commotion.

A teacher comes rushing up to the three to check if Mina is okay. "Everyone clear up! Go back to class, there is nothing here to see."

Taehyung pulls on Jungkook's shirt, making him stand up. "Are you okay?" Taehyung asks, putting his hands on Jungkook's cheeks. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine, you should be more worried about Mina," Jungkook says, his eyes softening in Taehyung's hold.

"I got so worried, for the both of you. I ran up as fast as I could."

Jungkook removes Taehyung's hands from his cheeks. "Did you mean what you said down there?"

Taehyung goes in for an embrace. "Every word."

"Can you two boys accompany her to the infirmary?" The teacher asks.

Taehyung turns and nods.

The teacher thanks the two, telling them to follow him. Jungkook watches as Mina and Taehyung start to walk in the direction of the exit.

Taehyung turns back to look at Jungkook. "Are you coming?"

"Yeah, hang on," Jungkook replies. He spots the book that Mina must have dropped when she slipped. He grabs it and then reunites with the two. "Okay, let's go."
