Jungkook scratches his head, trying to remember if he locked his locker the last time he was here. Jungkook is suspicious. He normally wouldn't think too much about his locker not being locked, but with his current situation he's going to take extra precaustions. Especially when there's a little package on top of his stuff.
He should be hurrying to class, but here he is; pulling out the package.
"Jungkook? What are you doing out of class?" A familiar voice say.
He turns to see Jimin walking towards him with his books resting in the cradle of his arm. "Funny seeing you here again," Jungkook says.
Jimin grins. "It's like you're looking for me on purpose."
Jungkook scoffs. It was definitely the other way round.
"What's that you've got there?" Jimin asks, taking the package from Jungkook.
Before Jungkook could even process the situation, Jimin was already opening the package, his eyes widening.
"Wow, Jungkook." Jimin reaches his hand into the package. "You kinky little—"
Jungkook snatches the box and runs into the toilets, locking himself in a cubical trying to catch his breath before lifting the flaps of the box.
His jaw drops. Handcuffs. Someone had put handcuffs in his locker.
He turns his attention to the note attached;
You're under arrest for driving me crazy and for stealing my heart (and those chocolates)
"You've got to be joking—" Jungkook folds the note, putting it into his pocket before dangling the handcuffs in front of his face. "I mean, they're kind of cute?"
"Jungkook?" Jimin calls out, entering the bathroom.
Startled, Jungkook drops the handcuffs, the sound reverberating through Jungkook's ears. He scrambles to quickly pick them back up before replying, "yes?"
"I didn't mean to make you upset," Jimin says, walking to the door of the cubical Jungkook is hiding in. Jungkook glares at the feet below.
"Were you the one who put them in my locker?" Jungkook asks.
"No. Why would— No, Jungkook."
"I don't believe you."
"What? Are you crazy? I would never."
"That's what you would say if you were trying to not get caught." Jungkook opens the cubical door, crossing his arms. "It's all a little too coincidental, don't you think?"
Jimin frowns. "As I told you before, I did not write the stupid notes."
"Fine."
Jimin nods. "I'll let you be with your—" he motions to the handcuffs, "—gift."
Jungkook blushes, closing the cubical again. This shit is way too embarrassing. What if it isn't Jimin, and he's now on his way to tell the entire school that Jungkook is playing with handcuffs in the school toilets? This ain't good.

Jungkook finally makes it to class, all with a short lecture from his teacher about being late and a quirked questioning eyebrow from Taehyung.
"Where were you?" Taehyung asks.
"Toilet," Jungkook says. "Bad stomach." He internally cringes at the excuse. How many times can it be used before it becomes unbelievable? Is it already unbelievable to begin with? Who knows.
"We haven't even had food yet," Taehyung points out.
Jungkook fights the urge to facepalm. "Yeah. That's probably why... No food means a bad tummy. Duh."
Nice save. He thinks...
"Well, you missed like the entire class," Taehyung whines. "I was so bored."
"You should be learning instead."
"And you should be buying me lunch as an apology for making my education boring this morning."
Jungkook furrows his brows. In what world does that make sense? Despite Jungkook clearly not giving a single crap, he agrees to buy Taehyung lunch. He thinks it's probably for the best, and it stops Taehyung from questioning any further because having to explain the handcuffs is way too embarrassing.
At the lunch table, everyone is late but Taehyung and Jungkook. At this point, literally, everything is suspicious. If he finds any notes after lunch, each person who is not here will be on his suspect list. No more excuses. Heck, even Taehyung is on it. Who knows? Maybe Taehyung has some sort of magical power that births notes out of thin air.
Jungkook will find out. He's determined now. Perhaps when he took those chocolates, it wasn't because he desired to feel wanted, but as a challenge instead. Yes. A challenge. Jungkook has declared war, and now the opponent shall now come forth and reveal themself.
A tap on his shoulder brings him out of his thoughts. Naeun?
Naeun pulls Jungkook out of his seat and drags him away from Taehyung before leaning in to whisper, "tell Jimin to not audition for Romeo."
Jungkook frowns. "W-What are you on about?"
"The audition. Tell Jimin not to audition for Romeo," she repeats, this time not whispering.
"Why don't you tell him? And why? Are you going to audition for the part instead?"
Naeun rolls her eyes. "Isn't it obvious? I want Taehyung to have the role."
Jungkook snorts. "Taehyung isn't even part of the drama club."
Naeun leans back, putting a hand on her hip. "Why don't you go and ask him yourself then?"
Jungkook looks at Taehyung, whose eyes are glued to his phone. "Taehyung would've told me... Hang on, why do I have to tell Jimin?"
"Because I see you guys talking all the time. You're friends, right? You and Jimin."
Jungkook's mouth gapes open and then closes.
"You have till the end of tomorrow. Too-da-loo," Naeun says, strutting off.
Jungkook doesn't talk to Jimin... Well, the only time he talks to him is when they're out in the halls during class— wait, how does Naeun know that? Was she talking bullshit? Or maybe she's been lurking, and... she could be the one writing the notes.
He sits back down at the table, noticing both Soobin and Mina have arrived while he was talking to Naeun.
"Why were you late?" Jungkook asks Soobin, not even bothering to look at Mina. She wouldn't be looking at him anyway.
Soobin blushes. "I was having trouble with an equation, so I stayed behind," he says.
"Don't you have maths class with Taehyung?" Jungkook asks, confused because his last class was with Taehyung, and that was definitely not anything related to numbers.
"Soobin has two maths subjects," Taehyung says for Soobin.
Soobin gulps. "Yeah."
Jungkook narrows his eyes at Soobin and then to Taehyung. None of this stops Jungkook from putting them both on his list of suspects.
He goes over his new list;
Soobin? Jungkook can't imagine Soobin writing the things that have been written; however, he has been suss about where he's been lately. Perhaps he could be in on it with Taehyung since he just witnessed Taehyung stand up for Soobin. How would Taehyung know Soobin has two maths subjects? It's all just a bit suss.
Jimin? Jungkook keeps running into him whenever he finds a new note; even though Jimin keeps denying it, it won't stop Jungkook from thinking it could be possible. He remembers clearly the day he saw Jimin writing something on a piece of paper before heading off to the toilet.
Naeun? Quite frankly, the girl has put a target on her head. He really doesn't understand why she would be writing these notes unless it were to blackmail him. To be honest, it doesn't seem that farfetched now that he thinks about it. And now that he knows that Naeun has seen him and Jimin 'talking', Jungkook thinks she could be in on the notes. Maybe Jimin and Naeun are working together, and the whole telling Jimin not to audition is a way to throw him off.
Mina? She's always at school early and arrives at the lunch table later than the rest, which Jungkook thinks is a blessing. Her undeniable hatred for Jungkook is maybe her way of showing affection. It honestly makes no sense, but he's putting her here anyway.
And last but definitely not least, Taehyung. Jungkook doesn't know how it could physically be possible when they spend most of their time together. Like how is it possible to write and deliver notes that way without Jungkook noticing? Unless he got someone else to do the deed for him. Taehyung is the only one who knows Jungkook's locker combination.
Maybe he should add Yoongi on the list, or heck, even that lesbian Eunji for all he knows. This is all he has. But for now, he will carry on and eat his lunch.
