Part 4 - Life Of A King... Sort Of.

The Royal Ambassador, by the name of Josh, knocked on the door of the King's room.

"Your Highness, the carriage is waiting. More importantly, the princess is waiting." He said, calmly.

"Um, yes, there's been a change of plans!" The king shouted from within.

"Oh, well then, I'm sure that I can arrange-" But Josh was cut off by more shouting.

"We're bringing the royal page with us!" Shouted the king.

"But sir, didn't we get rid of the boy? We were looking for a new one, remember? Have you found someone else to-" Josh was suddenly shocked when the king, Nathan, flung open the door. He was dressed as a page.

"What is this?" Josh asked. He knew very well that Nathan took no arguments, that he always had to be right, but Nathan would always listen to him. He didn't always follow up on his advice, but he would always listen.

"Josh, listen to me. All the other princesses looking to marry me have faked every aspect of themselves, of their personalities, pretending to be be perfect, until I left the room. This time, I want to see her for who she really is, not who she pretends to be." Nathan, (or Nate, as he preferred to be called, much to Josh's horror,) said, closing the door behind him.

Josh sighed. "I understand." He said reluctantly. "And I'm not surprised either. You and your disguises."

"I think they suit me. Do you have the necklace for the queen?" He asked.

"I do."

"Of course you do. Now, let's go." Nate proudly made his way down the halls, but he was stopped by Josh.

"King Nathan, are you quite sure about this?"

"I am."
