Locked in her room, Stephanie silently took off the white bed sheet and laid it on the ground. Skip, still covered in soot, sat next to Stephanie, as she picked him up and put him down in the center of the sheet, making two eyes with his paw prints. Giggling, she pointed at one of the

rafters.

"Go up there, Skip. Something tells me that these men will be too dumb to notice anything." She whispered. Skip made his way up the wall, placing himself on the rafters. Stephanie threw the blanket over top of him, and Skip arranged himself so that the blanket draped perfectly over the rafter.

Stephanie laughed softly and placed her ear to the door, listening to the men's conversation.

"Hey! I happen to know you have a five of hearts!" Shouted Mark.

"What? How do you know?" Jack demanded.

"I saw it!"

"You mean, you cheated?"

"Yeah!" There was a pause. "I mean, no!"

Stephanie rolled her eyes, before shouting through the door, "Help! Help! Please, help me!"

Both of them were caught off guard, but Mark got up first. "Yes, your highness?"

"What is it?" Jack called.

"Hurry!" Though Stephanie's voice sounded urgent, no one but she knew that she was smirking behind the door.

Mark and Jack, stumbling, unlocked the door and burst into the room. But when they looked up at the ceiling, Stephanie was truly in awe of their utter idiocy.

"GHOST!" They both screamed.

Stephanie held back a laugh with all her might. "Get it! Quick!" She said, pointing at Skip under the blanket.

Mark pushed Jack forward. "You get it!" He shouted. Jack pushed him forward.

"You're closer, you get it!" Before they could do anything, though, Skip jumped down on them, covering them both with the blanket. As both of them stood still, screaming, Skip rushed out from under the blanket, following Stephanie out the door. "Good job, Skip!"

Stephanie and Skip got outside, and jumped into an empty cart the one that Herve had been driving. "Go! Go!" She shouted, and Herve ran forward. Mark and Jack got out just in time to see her ride off into the forest.

Mark waved goodbye.
