X

Long ago, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of light. Everyone loved the light. Then people began to fight over it. They wanted to keep it for themselves. And darkness was born in their hearts. The darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts It covered everything, and the world disappeared. But small fragments of light survived... in the hearts of children. With these fragments of light, children were able to rebuild the lost world. It's the world we live in now. But the true light sleeps deep within the darkness. That's why the worlds are still scattered, divided from each other. But someday, door to the innermost darkness will open. And true light will return. So, listen, child. Even in the deepest darkness, there will always be a light to guide you. Believe in the light, and the darkness will never defeat you. Your heart will shine with its power and push away the darkness...

The light will always conquer the dark?

I asked the voice aloud in my dream, but no answer came. I sighed as I had so many unanswered questions as I wondered through the dark void of my dream until I caught a glimpse of a fleeting light. I dashed for it; its beckoning glow seemed to distance itself the closer I got. "Wait please!" I called out as I ran to it.

I thought it'd be best if I woke her up a little so (y/x/n) would have plenty of time to prepare for her first mission. I knocked on her door, listening for any sounds or movement to say if she was awake or still sleeping, to which ultimately I heard nothing. I sighed. Why do I feel like I'm going to regret opening this door?  I opened the door and stepped into (y/x/n), she was still lying in bed but she looked like she was struggling with something in her sleep. I cautiously made my way to her side; I watched her face become contorted in sense of what looked like pained pleading. ""Wait please!" (y/x/n) called out in her sleep.   What are you dreaming about?   I gently placed my hand on her, even more gently shaking her, "(y/x/n), (y/x/n), wake up. Hey!" I say as she slowly begins to wake up. (y/x/n) said nothing to me as she glanced up at me, slightly cocking her head.  Wow, how I wish I could just capture how cute she looks in this moment.. Wait, did I just think (y/x/n) is cute?   I looked away from (y/x/n) as I felt my face heat up a little bit. "Why are you in my room?" I turned to face her as she spoke her first words to me since she became a part of the organization. " Hey, look at that you can talk. Well, the reason I came in here (y/x/n) was to make sure you were up in time to be ready for your first mission." I said a bit light heartedly. She nodded, gathering up her order uniform, then heading to the bathroom in her room. I sighed sitting on the edge of her bed, opening the file, giving it, another read through.

Atlantis, an empire lost below the sea. This world was lost to many for a time but has recently been brought back to light. The world is beginning to be overrun by aquatic and aero based heartless, there is a strong signal . Number VIII is to accompany Number XV on her missions until further notice. Report any sightings of massive heartless.

Well, seems easy enough, can she take it though?   "Axel..." (y/x/n) said as she stepped back into her room, dressed in her order attire.  Black looks good on you (y/x/n), but (y/fc) looked so much better....    I shook my head at the thought of a lifetime passed, knowing she probably never remember it anyway. I clapped the file closed, portalling it back to my room. "Alright (y/x/n), now that you're up and ready, let's head to a new world. This place is called Atlantis, the lost empire."
