Ch.20
Shinsa's Pov.
"Is this thing really necessary?!" Smoker growled as he and Law pulled the huge S.A.D cart. I ignored the expectant look Smoker had first sent me when Law had retrieved the cart. There's no way I was pulling it. I had done enough. Destroying two laboratories, as well as weakening Vergo enough for Law to kill him. Not to mention, even though I didn't have to, I saved the complaining Vice Admiral. If I have to say so myself, I did more than enough.
"It's the cart they use to haul S.A.D! We can fit the entire group on it. This escape won't have a moment to spare!" Law explained. We arrived at structure D where Luffy was, along with G-5 and half of the StrawHat crew.
"Straw hat!!" Smoker shouted catching my captain's attention.
"Shinsa! Traffy! Smokey! There you are." Luffy greeted.
"Hn." I greeted with a slight nod.
"Ahh Smokey! We're so glad you're all right! W-we got a lot of stuff to tell ya! All kinds'a stuff!" A marine shouted with the rest shouting agreements.
"Where's Caesar?!" Law exclaimed with an annoyed expression.
"Oh... you know the door that was there? I smashed him through it and they both flew off somewhere." Luffy said with a huge smile.
"What the-?! The agreement was to kidnap him!" Law exclaimed all of sudden angered.
"But I don't even want to capture that jerk anymore!" Luffy complained while putting his hands on his hips. No one blamed him, seeing how Caesar, while being a very infuriating enemy, was straight out an annoying crybaby. No one would want someone like him residing on their ship.
"That's not the point! The plan calls for it! What if he gets away?!" Law snapped. Law was beginning to think his decision to associate himself with the Straw Hats.
"Who cares about him anyway?!" Luffy said with an irked expression.
"You can't change the plan on a whim! I should never have trusted you! We have to go after him!" Law said while heading towards structure R.
"Shinsa my love~ did you miss me?" Sanji cooed with heart eyes. He swirled around me during the process. I, who was already having a headache gave him a blank look, hiding the disturbed one that threatened to leak.
"Sure, whatever." I decided to not pay attention to what he was saying and began to observe everyone around me. Sanji made a choking noise as a pink heart exploded from his chest. The marines behind him began to shout with hearts in their eyes.
"Get up Mr.Nosebleed." Zoro growled.
"What was that Idiot-Marimo?!" Sanji shouted while jumping up. Sparks flew as both of them glared dangerously at exact other.
"Hm?" My attention was grabbed by the slight cracking noise, impossible for a normal person to hear, but I was a trained Shinobi. It was barely noticeable, but the more Sanji moved, the more I could tell something was wrong with his leg. My brows furrowed, and I turned away from the cook who was still fawning over me. Not my problem.
"Hey! Straw hat crew! What are you doing?! Everyone into the cart! If Caesar gets away because you knocked him off into the distance, the entire plan is ruined!!" Law shouted. Sanji, Nami, Luffy, Robin, Zoro and I were the only people who weren't in the cart. We were waiting for Brook, Chopper and Kin'emon.
"What's your point?! Not all my people are here!!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Is Franky outside?" Nami asked.
"Probably." I responded since no one else made a move to speak. I didn't particularly like this Nami women, but I had no problems answering simple questions such as that. Nami stared at me, her eyes narrowing. She muttered something under hear breath, expecting me not to hear it. But I did. Perfectly.
"Damn freak..." a finger twitch. The only form of response I had made to that comment. It took my entire being to prevent the killing intent I usually keep at bay, from leaking out in intensive waves.
'Pitiful women, I never forget an insult." I mentally promised myself to pay back the women, who used the term that unknowingly triggered my childhood traumatic stressor.
I looked away form Nami who was still glaring in my direction, and walked towards the cart, jumping effortlessly onto it. I, was done exploring this island. While I did get the tiniest closer to the truth of what triggered Iwagakure to terrorize Amegakure, I'm still no longer closer to finding the answer as to what secrets could have sparked the war.
The solution to finding the answers, was a scroll. A scroll rumored to have disappeared from the ruins of Uzoshiogakure. Konoha, had sent Shinobis to retrieve it, but when weeks past, and no form of communication was heard from team, another team; one that consisted of my brother was sent. It was then that they found that the area where the scroll was said to be... was gone. The entire hidden library, was completely erased from the village. It was as if it was swallowed by a black hole. And to make matters worse, the Shinobi were never seen again.
Despite the scroll being lost, a general idea as to what it contained was known to the higher-ups in Konoha, and even the Fourth Hokage was privy to the full contents in it, credits to his wife Kushina Uzumaki.
Now, my brother being a higher up himself, had informed me of such basics, so when I had participated in infiltration missions inside of Iwakagure, in hopes of uncovering weaknesses, imagine both my horror and shock when I found out that Iwa-Shinobi were boasting to each other, stating that they never would have had enough power, or confidence to invade and terrorize Amegakure, if it weren't for the legendary scroll of Uzoshiogakure. An idiot could have guessed which scroll this Shinobi was speaking of.
'If that scroll really is here, then all I need to do is find it, and quickly return home...' my gaze lowered at the thought of home.
"LUFFYYYYY!!!" I heard the voice of Brook scream, interrupting me from spiraling into my self-depression. A huge grin of excitement lit on Luffy's face that painfully reminded of a certain ray of sunshine.
"They're here!!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Dwaaah!" Brook screamed avoiding a boulder that nearly toppled him.
"We made it!" Chopper cheered.
"We were the ones doing the running!" A marine complained. They were after all carrying one of the giant children, with Chopper on top of her.
"We're back together! Everybody on board! This place is fallin' apart!" Luffy ordered. "Hurry up! Time to get outta here guys!" He cheered while pumping a fist up.
"RAAAAAAH!!" The children shouted.
"Onto the cart!" Usopp said while running up to the huge S.A.D cart.
"What shall we do with Kin'emon?! What shall we do?!" Brook cried while catching my attention. I looked at the statue and my brows furrowed. I could still feel his energy, but it was slightly blocked. Almost as if he was surrounded by a barrier.
"Uhh... I don't think we can do anything for him..." Zoro said while rubbing his chin.
"What?! K-Kin'emon?!" The strange pink dragon shouted with tears in his eyes.
