Chapter 1

{ Night Hibiscus }

I slowly trotted into the lunch room, carrying my black lunchbox in my mouth, my teeth tightly gripping at it. My eyes darted from place to place around the large cafeteria, glancing at all the ponies.

They were cringing, cowering, and had a frightened gleam in their eye.

Because of me.

I nervously bit my lip, sweat beading my brow. I quickened my pace, making my way to my usual lunch table. All the way in the back of the room, alone.

Ponies never bothered me; they were too scared. Ponies never talked to me; they were too scared. Ponies never liked me; they were too scared.

It really makes you feel guilty, causing all this fear.

I set my lunchbox down, pulling out my plain sandwich. That was all that was in there, that simple sandwich.

~FLASHBACK: LAST NIGHT~

"Thanks for helping me, Mom," I stated blandly. "I need it badly."

"Night, shut up and let me work," she snapped at me. I had a stern look on my face as I did as I was told.

"Almost done," she grunted, placing the last piece of cheese onto the whole wheat bread.

"T-that's all I get?" I asked curiously, wondering if I would get more for once.

"Yes, a thestral pony does not deserve any more when there are two perfect unicorns living in this house."

"O-oh..." I mumbled, putting the tiny sandwich in the lunchbox. All it looked like was a drop of water amidst the vast ocean. I sighed, heading up to my room, closing the curtains tighter.

"Just because I'm a thestral pony doesn't mean I can't have the necessities...."

~FLASHBACK OVER~

I sighed, sitting there, at my little lunch table. I was done with my lunch way before everypony else, since mine was so much smaller.

I fidgeted out of my seat and walked down the big aisle in the center of the cafeteria.

Why is it in the center? Makes me feel like I'm in a fashion show...

I continued walking, receiving stares and gapes of awe from all the other ponies.

I evolved my step to a trot, making my
way down the aisle faster. I quickly reached the trash can, throwing my single bag in the huge trash can.

I happened to look out a window on my way back to my table. I saw purple, and blue, swirling together into a demented mist. It seemed as if each one had... voices. They were speaking, and they joined forces.

I didn't know what or who this was. All I knew was that the mist was growing by the minute, and eventually it would cover our school. Tick, tock, tick, tock...

FINALLY updated yaaaay! Sorry if it's short, this book's chapter are going to be; it's easier to update frequently that way.

I don't have much to say. My school had two snow days in a row AND I'm spending the second right now!

Okay I'm done now. Goodbye my tacos.
