David POV

I had been taken to their base, i would say it looks pretty nice for a naval base, it has store's and housing areas, reminds me of the camp i grew up in on reach, and when i came here, i did get some weird looks from the people here, mostly the women and staff here, being a 7 foot tall super soldier does have its tolls, then we arrived to a room, from the looks of it its a higher ups place.

???: wait here, our admiral wants to talk with you, bismarck keep an eye on him.

Bismarck: yes.

The other girl then went outside.

Bismarck: so you're a soldier from the future.

David: well you can say that.

Bismarck: how did you become one?

David: its... classified.

???: well you have to say it soldier.

Bismarck: Admiral?

David: sir.

I lended my hand out for a handshake and he shook back.

Admiral: it seems you have a story to tell.

I looked around the room and there were some others that enter.

David: and it seems i have no choice then.

Admiral: i see you still have some sense of humor.

David: maybe, so the story might be a little disturbing, for those who doesn't want to hear it you can back out.

None did.

David: alright then, the year was 2511 the second generation of the ORION Project, the spartan-II program was initiated, the cadets were selected by genetic DNA, determining the ones deemed fit for the program.

Admiral: and what's the age of the cadets?

David: 5 years old.

Then a young girl jolted up

???: THAT YOUNG?!?!

David: yes, and may you calm down madam cleveland?

Cleveland: how do you know?!

David: i have taken history lessons.

Admiral: and you are one of these cadets?

David: yes out of 75, i was the only one taken from earth, the rest was from outer colonies.

Admiral: can you tell more?

David: a little, me and the other cadets were given high levels of education, in which adults would have difficulty learning, we were given military tactics, history, and many others, and we were trained to fight in harsh conditions, by 2525... you don't want to know.

Admiral: if you can tell us.

David: *sigh* then buckle up your guts.

FLASHBACK 2525

David (present): it was 2525, when we hit 14 years old we went through the toughest phase of the program, the biological augmentation procedures, the procedure aims at augmenting our body both physically and mentally, from surgery, implants and muscular injections, to superconducting our neural dendrites.

David (past): ugh... what happened?

Staff: 118, do you feel anything weird?

David: no... but my body feels stronger. 

Staff: thank god.

David: what happened to the others?

???: 118 follow me.

David: chief mendez?

Mendez: put on your uniform spartan.

David: sir what is wrong?

Mendez: meet me on the launch bay.

David (present): i didn't know what happened, then i learned the truth.

Mendez: i should have warned you about the risk.

David (past): what happened to john and the rest?

Mendez: the rest survived, twelve of your comrades however... are crippled.

David (past): what are ONI going to do to them?!

Mendez: they're sent to join ONI, i know how it feels to lose others spartan.

David (past): but... they are still my men, my family.

Mendez: i know David, but you'll have to endure it.

David (past): orders...

Mendez: what?

David (past): what are my new orders.

Mendez: *sigh* you couldn't even wait for a week can you, pack your stuff, we'll be transferred to the UNSC Pioneer.

David (past): yes sir.

FLASHBACK END

David: that's all i could remember after the augmentation procedures.

Admiral: that's... enough, you could tell the rest later.

???: sir, i heard someone saying about the Spartan-II program.

I know that voice.

David: Jorge?
