Aboard the Carrier, two Grunts are walking down the hall of the ship.

"The Captain says, 'Get me more weapons.' When are we ever gonna be used for anything else then firearm fetchers?"

The other Grunt shrugs. "I don't know."

Suddenly they're both stopped by two beams of light and Rex and Leo appear in front of them. They both smirk at each other as the Grunts shivered in fear.

"BOO!" They both say. The Grunts scream and turn around, only for Wade to grab their heads and lift them up. He smashes their heads together and drops them to the floor.

"Won't be long before they find out were on board." Wade states while taking out his plasma rifles. 

Leo turns to Rex. "Plan?" 

Rex just takes out his SAW. "Let's kick some Covenant butt." 

The trio then jog down the hall until suddenly they open the door to find the hangar bay...and a whole army of Covenant pointing their weapons at them. The Covenant then fires at them making a humongous explosion of dust. They all lower their weapons at what they see. 

Rex had made a domed shield around him, Leo, and Wade for protection. 

"Talk about good timing." Wade chuckles while pulling out his rocket launcher.

Rex makes his way up to the bridge of the ship where he sees Atriox looking at the view of space. 

"I have been waiting for you...Rex Wolford." Rex widens his eyes. "Yes, I know your name. I also know how many of my kind you slaughtered in the days of the war between the Covenant and humanity." 

"And now you're starting deja Vu all over again." Rex states. 

Atriox turns to him, taking his hammer off his back. "The Great Journey will be fulfilled once more. And I, Atriox, chieftain of the Brutes and leader of all the Covenant shall make you face justice for the deaths you've caused." 

Rex tosses his rifles aside and takes out his knifes from his shoulders. "Let's dance."

After taking care of the Brutes, Wade picks up his rocket launcher and puts it on his back. He then sees another dead Brute with a Brute shot and grins. 

Wade picks up the weapon and whistles at the blade. "This could do some damage." He then hears a noise and hides behind the wall. 

"Let me go!" Wade peeks around the corner and sees two Brute captains escorting a human woman with lightish-orange hair. 

"Quiet human!" One of the captains snaps. 

Wade reloads his Brute shot and follows the woman and the captains. He then sees them enter a room with a number of cells and deactivates one, tossing the woman in. Wade stays hidden, waiting for the Brutes to leave before sneaking past and entering the room. 

He then sees the woman. "Psst, hey." 

The woman looks and sees Wade. "Who-?" 

"I'm Wade. Who are you?" 

The woman hesitates. "Lina, where'd you-?" 

Wade takes out his knife. "Long story, I'll tell you later." 

"BEHIND YOU!" Line cries. Wade turns and then gets smacked across the room by one of the  Brute captains. Wade then sheathes his knife and takes out his Brute shot, firing at the captain. The Brute gets blown back as the other captain charges in runs at Wade. 

Wade then takes out his plasma rifles and shoots the Brute head on until they overheat. The Brute was still standing and grabs Wade, holding him over his head. He then smashes him into the ground and kicks him against the wall. Wade shakes it off as he tackles the Brute and repeatedly stabs it in the face with his knife. The other Brute then gets back up and roars, going berserk. Wade didn't have enough time to react as he was then rammed up against the wall. The Brute the kept punching him in the face until his helmet came off. 

Wade gritted his teeth as he then kicked the Brute off and gave it a right hook before somersaulting for his Brute shot. The crazed Brute then ran at Wade, who turns around and points the blade end of the Brute shot at the humongous ape, impaling it before it could grab his neck. 

Wade breathed heavily as he then pushed the dead Brute off him. He grabbed his helmet, sealing it back on before pulling the Brute shot out of the captain. 

"Best. Gun. Ever." Wade chuckles, still catching his breath. He puts the weapon on his back and punches the cell controls, lowering the shield that imprisoned the orange-haired woman. He extended his hand and helped her up. 

"Are you okay?" Lina asks worriedly.  

Wade cracks his neck. "I've put up with worse. How'd you get here?" 

"I was kidnapped." Lina states. 

Suddenly the door behind them opens and Wade aims his plasma rifle...only to lower it upon seeing Leo. 

Leo looks at the dead Brutes, sprawled between them. "Seems like you had some fun." 

Wade smirks. "You might say that." 

Leo chuckles but immediately freezes as he then sees the woman walk out from behind Wade. He drops his railgun in shock, tears forming in his eyes. He pulls his helmet off, making sure his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. 

"L-Lina?" Leo sniffles. 

Lina covers her mouth as she sees her younger brother. 

"Leo..." She breathes. Lina then sprinted to him as they both held each other tightly. Lina than traces his cheeks and face like that of a mother. "You're okay. Look at you." 

"Me? You're the one who got kidnapped." Leo chuckles with tears falling down his face. 

Wade steps up to them. "Listen, I don't want to break up this tender-hearted moment, but we gotta get off this ship. Where's Rex?" 

Leo clears his throat and rubs his eyes. "We, uh, got separated. Had to toss him to the other side of the ship after it broke apart." 

Wade takes out his Brute shot. "Then let's find him." 

Leo nods and puts his helmet on, grabbing his railgun. He then hands Lina his SMG. "You're gonna need this." 

Lina takes the gun and aims it. "Time for some payback."

Rex ducks under another swing from Atriox as he then kicks him in the back. Atriox growls and punches Rex into the air before swinging his hammer and hitting Rex head on. He then goes flying and hits the ceiling before descending and hitting the ground. Rex's helmet falls off as he coughs blood and clutches his stomach. 

Atriox laughs and holds his hammer over his shoulder. "You think you stand a chance against me? I am a chieftain. I am the instrument of the gods! I-" 

"You're a serious, monologuing, gorilla." Rex sneers getting to his feet. Atriox walks over to him as Rex was struggling to keep his balance. Atriox smacked him across the bridge and grabbed his helmet. 

"Even when you know it's inevitable, you still continue to fight." Atriox says throwing the helmet to Rex. "Your wife will be my tool of destruction. My instrument of salvation." 

Rex grits his teeth as blood leaked out his lips, onto the ground. "Where...is...she?" 

Atriox puts his hammer on his back and lifts Rex up by his throat. Then, with little effort, Atriox rips off Rex's left arm. 

"AAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Rex yells in agony. Atriox grins as he then rips off his right arm, making him scream again. Atriox drops him to the floor. 

Rex felt himself slowly begin to pass out from blood. 

"You will never find her." Atriox says placing his foot on Rex's chest. "You will watch as I destroy humanity and make everything you know and love an endless wasteland of my rule." 

Then the door explodes and Leo, Lina, and Wade open fire upon Atriox. The chieftain grunts as he gets blown back and sent flying into the bridge's viewport. 

"REX!" Wade yells. He then puts his Brute shot down looks at his unconscious figure. "Geez, what did he do to you?!" 

Atriox roars as he then swing his hammer and smacks the ground. He then gets surrounded in red aura and disappears from sight. 

"Where'd he go?" Leo says shocked. 

"That doesn't matter! We've gotta get Rex outta here!" Wade says insistently. Leo runs over and picks Rex up, putting his body over his shoulder. Lina follows behind as they then run for the hangar bay. 

Wade kept firing grenades at the Covenant that were in their way as they kept advancing for the ships. The four of them then make it to the hangar where they see a Lich. 

"Leo take the controls!" Wade orders as he holds back the Covenant. Leo places down on the deck of the ship as he runs for the pilot controls. Lina watches over Rex as Wade then jumps onboard.

Leo straps himself in as he expertly starts working the controls. Wade kneels next Lina as they look at Rex's face becoming deathly pale. 

"Come on buddy, hang in there." Wade pleads. 

"WADE! We got incoming!" Leo shouts from the cockpit. Wade joins him and sees that several Seraphs were on their tail. 

"See what you can do to shake them off. I've got an idea." Wade slides down to the lower deck and opens the door. He see four Seraphs shooting at them and takes out his rocket launcher. 

Wade enables his grav-boots as he fires numerous rockets at the Seraphs. He manages to destroy one of them but eventually runs out of ammo. 

~Guess, I'll use one of Rex's tricks...~ Wade inhales as he pulls out his Brute shot and then deactivated his grav-boots. Wade shot forward and use the blade of his Brute shot, soars over a Seraph and scrapes along it with his Brute shot, winging it and making it explode. 

Another flies upward and tries to fire at Wade, but he then uses his back thrusters in his armor and avoids the shots. Wade grabs onto the wing of the Seraph and stabs his Brute shot into it, scraping it down until the wing was wasted. The Seraph started to smoke and burn as Wade let go and watched it explode. 

The last remaining Seraph heads straight for Wade firing energy missiles at him. Wade covers himself until Leo shoots the Lich forward and takes the brunt of the shots. Leo then fires at the Seraph, making it turn into a mess of purple fire and explode. Wade shoots into the Lich and shuts the door. 

"Nice skills." Leo compliments. 

"Save the praise for later! Let's get to Halo!" Wade says tending to Rex. 

Leo hits the thrusters and heads straight for the Forerunner Ring.

Outside the control room, Rellia sat with her legs dangling over the ocean. B1 comes out and kneeled next to her. "Are you alright, Miss Rellia?" 

Before she could respond, a large Covenant ship decloaks in front of them. Rellia aims her pistol as B1 aims his blaster rifle. Suddenly the door opens and they see Wade with another woman....holding an armless Rex in his arms! 

"REX! Oh my God! What happened?!" Rellia cried. 

Wade ignores her and runs inside the control room with the woman and B1 behind him. Inside, Wade sees Abject and Kal'roq talking but stop, seeing Rex and the condition he was in. 

"My goodness!" Abject says shocked. "What has happened to your leader?!" 

Wade set him down. "He took on this really big Brute with a gravity hammer. Ripped off both his arms." 

Leo and Rellia then run in. Rellia slides to her knees and touches Rex's face. "No Rex. Please!" 

Abject floats down and observes. "I believe I have a way to save him." Everyone stares at the Monitor. 

"How?!" Leo says. 

"It will not be a pleasant experience for him but-" 

"JUST DO IT!" Rellia shouts. 

Abject nods. "Very well. Bring his body and follow me."
