It took longer than usual to get to school, and you were with Dirk, Jake and Dave. Although you were with them, you were still on edge the whole walk. Now you were in school, which felt somewhat safer than out there. You say goodbye to your brothers and go to find your friends.

"Hey (y/n), there you are!" you look over at the building just before you, were Feferi was practically hanging out of the window.

You smile and wave up at her, then gestures to the door, telling you to come in. You nod and walk in. You trudge up the stairs and walk down the hall, just as you were about to walk in a familiar voice speaks up.

"Hey (y/n)!"

You stop walking and look behind you to see Karkat. You smile and turn to face him.

"Hey Karkat." You smile.

He catches up to you, "are you alright?"

You blink a few times, but it takes you a moment for you to realise what he was referring to.

"Oh, yes, I just spent a few days with the family." You chuckle.

"Well, that's good," he sighs, "I was worried when you skipped school."

"Well, thank you for worrying for me," you thank him, "but I'm alright now."

"Okay, well, I'll see you later then."

"Okay, see ya Karkat."

With that Karkat walks off and you turn back to the door, you enter the room with a tired sigh. Inside Feferi, Eridan, and Sollux were sitting on the computer chairs inside.

"Hey guys." You greet.

Before you even close the door, Feferi had already pulled you in for a hug. You laugh and hug her back, before pulling away so you could close the door.

"Hey (y/n)." Sollux waves.

"Hi." Eridan greets.

"So, about-"

"It's okay," Feferi smiles, "Karkat told us about what happened."

You sigh in relief, happy that you didn't have to explain as to why you had been absent for the past two days. You sit down on one of the tables beside Eridan.

"God, I wish I could go back to bed." You groan.

You lie down on the table and rest your head on Eridan's lap.

You were half surprised when you're not pushed off.

"So, had there been any drama while I was gone?" you ask, closing your eyes.

"Well, Gamzee got caught smoking behind the gym." Feferi shrugs.

"Who's Gamzee?" you ask, opening your eyes and looking over at Feferi.

"Oh, we went to middle school with him." She shrugs.

"Pretty sure he hasn't had a sober day in years." Sollux snorts.

"Oh yeah, Fef, do we have any new assignments?"

"No, I don't think so." She shakes her head.

You sigh in relief; you seriously didn't want to do any assignments. Break was so far away, at least your favourite holiday; Halloween was only a week away.

You groan like you've been punched in the stomach when the bell rings.

"(Y/n), we have to go to home class." Eridan tells you.

You sigh and roll over, hiding your face in his scarf.

"I swear to go I'll flip you off of me."

With that you drag yourself up to stand. Eridan hops up too, readjusting his scarf.

"Okay, we should get to class before we're late." Feferi tells you.

You nod and you all head out of the room. Instantly you were pulled into the river of hurrying students.
