Above is what Kayla looks like (Used a Sketchbook app on my IPad, so, sorry for bad quality)

The eight wizards sat in front of the man, he looked old, white hair shortly cut on his head and a small beard starting to grow on his chin.

"As you know from the request, there have been creatures roaming around the forest, we happen to gather fruits and berries from the forest, our main food source for this village. But with those creatures roaming around freely, it's been getting more dangerous to gather the food we need."

"So long story short you want us to beat down these monsters so your village can get food, right?" Natsu asked.

"Yes. I'd be forever greatful." The man said.

"Then let's get going!" Natsu said, running out of the house.

Kayla sighed and got up, following them.

"Hey Natsu, can you smell anything?" Happy asked.

Natsu raised his head in the air, his nose twitching. "I can smell something coming from over there." He said, pointing towards a forest. "There's a funky scent coming from over there."

"Then let's go!" Lucy exclaimed.

The eight followed Natsu, and Kayla looked around, sniffing the air along with Natsu. She always did it when Lucy, Happy, and Natsu weren't watching, so she could do it in secret, she was smelling the air when a familiar scent reached her nose and she stopped.

"Kayla, you okay?" Voodoo asked.

"I smell something." She whispered.

"Is it a monster?" April asked.

The five had fallen behind, out of earshot from even Natsu.

"No. It's someone from Death's Storm." Kayla whispered, sniffing again she relaxed a bit, "Not one of our trainers, it's only one person. But their magic." She sniffed again. "It's familiar, but I can't place it. I can tell he's powerful though. And I have a feeling he's behind the creations of the monsters Somehow."

"Hey, you five alright?" Lucy called out, she had walked back, most likely noticing that the five weren't with them.

Kayla jumped. "Yeah! Fine." She glanced at Finny. "I have an idea. Why don't we split up." She suggested.

"You sure?" Lucy asked.

"Of course." Kayla smiled reassuringly. "We're capable of defeating a few monsters." Kayla smiled, but she could tell that Lucy didn't believe her, the only good thing about being in a Dark Guild is that you learn to lie. And how to lie well, and in actuality, that's not really a good thing. "We'll be fine. We've had some experience beating monsters." She turned and walked the direction the smell originated from. "We'll take care of over here. I think I can hear some monsters."

The five of them walked away, and Kayla could still feel Lucy's eyes on her until the trees blocked Kayla from Lucy's view.

The group walked in silence, and the ended up outside the forest, into a field of plains. Kayla felt a small breeze through her hair. She lifted her head and smelled for the wizard.

"He should be somewhere near."

"Ding ding ding. You are correct." A sly voice said from behind the group, causing Theroux to turn around. "What a pleasure to be seeing you five in person again!"

The teen behind them was sitting in a tree, his face was narrow, slick dark blue hair was combed over one eye, the visible one being a black orb and he was looking down at them.

"Who are you?" Kayla asked, lightning surrounding her hands.

the man looked at her. "I'm hurt." He mocked. "You don't remember an old guildmate, Kayla my dear?"

Kayla looked at him, recognizing him. "Cole?" She asked.

"In the flesh."

"I thought you died, I haven't seen you for years."

"Well, seems as if you've underestimated me." He jumped down from the tree he was siting on.

"Are you the one who's created those monsters?" Voodoo asked, her eyes narrowed.

"You give me too much credit, Valorie." Cole said, using Voodoo's real name. "I didn't make these demons. I simply broke the spell that was keeping them caged inside their prisons!" He looked up at the five. "Speaking of prisons. You five have quite the bounty on your heads back at the guild, if I bring you in, I could be living like a king back there."

Kayla narrowed her eyes, the lightning around her hands increasing. "Over our dead bodies." She lunged, punching him and knocking him back. "I know your magic isn't for offense." She said. "The only reason the master kept you was because you could break spells." She said.

Cole looked at her. "And I've done my job." He told her, his sly smile spreading wider.

"What do you mean by that."

"You'll find out in due time, my dear, all I'll say is this: Mors a tempestate." He pulled out a green cube, starting to fade away. "For now, Au revoir." With that, he vanished, leaving the five staring at an empty space.

"Mors a tempestate? What does that mean." Finny asked.

"I have no idea. But I feel that it's nothing good." Kayla told them. "For now, let's go back, we don't want the others worrying about us."

The others nodded and walked back, hearing roars in front of them, glancing at each other, they ran, heading straight towards the noise.

Yay, new characters. Just a little note, Cole is based off of Izaya from Durarara!!, so, I feel that's what he sounds like, that sly, almost teasing sort of tone.

Next chapter will have a pic of April.
