I used to shine

Like a star at midnight

My mind set the stage

My pen was my rage

My thoughts were my shrine

Solitude inside my head

Underneath my bed

Monsters of doubt

Slowly slithered out

Biting the last thread

Is it too insane

Wanting back in

To believe that I could

To hope that I would

Possibly shine again?
