A sweet excuse
To find yourself in lover's eyes
Escape the blues
Pretend to be a human new

A shining light
For when the darkness takes control
It shimmers bright
Banishing phantoms of despair

Love is a good reason to hurt
A welcomed pain
The masochistic cure to heal
A frigid vein
And soften callous hearts of stone

Love is a good reason to grow
A better self
Struggle to live the perfect dream
A few deserve
And be the man you should have been

Love is a good reason to die
A noble feat
For nothing's more honorable
Than to forfeit
Your heart and soul for someone dear
