You're not Y/N...
Y/N's POV
I woke up alive, surprisingly. I looked at my hands, making sure...I still had them, maybe? I looked around, and there was just a black background surrounding me.
"Where the hell am I?" I wondered aloud.
"In your mind," Daniel's voice responded. "I told you I was taking control of your body, right?"
"So...where are you then?" I asked. "I can't see you..."
"Yeah, you won't be able to," Daniel answered. "I'm merely a conscience, telling your body want to do."
Suddenly, I had the realization that I was trapped in my mind. I began yelling at Daniel. "LET ME OUT!! DON'T HURT MY FRIENDS!!"
Daniel chuckled, and it echoed around me, leaving the "ground" beneath my feet vibrating. "No can do, missy."
Then, what looked like a movie screen appeared in front of me, depicting me laying down on my back in the dungeon. (I think it was a dungeon, anyway.) But it was in first person. "This screen will let you see things through my point of view. I figure that seeing your friends pass away due to 'you' killing them will be the best form of torture," Daniel explained.
"NO!" I yelled, banging on the movie screen.
"Quit it!" Daniel yelled. "You won't be able to escape until sunset. It's still 10:30 AM. Besides, that kinda hurts..."
"Then I'll be happy to bang on the screen!" I smirked.
I heard Daniel sigh, then say sadistically, "Enjoy the show."
He easily sat up, breaking the chains that held me down previously in the process. "How the hell did you do that?" I asked, completely masking my utter horror that Daniel was possessing my body.
"Don't ruin my moment," Daniel growled, making "me" walk to the dungeon door and opening it.
(All right, readers, since Daniel is actually controlling my body, I'm gonna call my helpless body Daniel. Like, "Daniel did this." Okay? Okay.)
He walked out of the dungeon door, leaving us in my kitchen, the door connected to a wall.
"When did we get that?" I asked.
Daniel sighed. "Shut up."
He walked out of my house, and started heading towards Max and David's house.
"You wouldn't..," I growled through gritted teeth.
Daniel laughed. "Oh, I would! And I will."
Once he got there, he knocked on the door. David opened it immediately. "Oh! Howdy, Y/N! What brings you here?"
Daniel made my body say, "Oh, David! Just the guy I wanted to see! Well, you and Maxwell that is." It sounded like my voice, just creepier.
David cocked his head. "Oh?"
"Yep!" Daniel said to David, pushing past him.
Max was just chilling on the couch, and when Daniel walked in, his aqua eyes moved over to him. "Oh. Hey, Y/N."
"Hey, Maxwell," Daniel greeted Max. "Mind guiding me to your room?"
Max raised an eyebrow. "Why are you calling me 'Maxwell'? What's the occasion?"
Daniel sighed with impatience. "Guide me to your freaking room," he demanded firmly.
Max looked confused, but nodded his head anyways.
"You better not do what I think you're gonna do," I said slowly from inside my mind.
The conscience version of Daniel chuckled. "I'm gonna do it."
Daniel and Max made their merry way upstairs. "NO!" I yelled, banging on the movie screen again.
I could tell by Max's worried expression that Daniel had cringed through my body.
"You okay?" Max asked slowly, halfway up the stairs.
Daniel hurriedly dismissed him. "Oh, yeah. I've just been getting a lot of migraines lately."
Max nodded his poofy head slowly, then started to nervously go up the stairs again.
I curled up into a ball on the black ground, rocking back and forth. I began nervously breaking out into song. It's what I do when I'm nervous.
I'm an angel with a shotgun,
Fighting 'till the worst one,
I don't care if Heaven won't take me back-
I was cut off by Daniel yelling through my body, "SHUT UP, Y/N!" and smacking-what used to be my-forehead. I know that because I saw a hand being pressed against the movie screen.
Max was already up the stairs, but he was staring at Daniel, eyes wide. "Y/N, are you really damn sure that you're okay?"
Daniel quickly realized what he did and nodded his head. (I'm assuming, because the movie screen's background was moving up and down.)
Max continued to stare at Daniel over his shoulder as Daniel finished climbing the stairs, while Max was walking to his room.
Once Daniel was in Max's room, he closed the door. Quite forcefully, too.
"Uh, what are you doing?" Max asked, clearly nervous.
"PLEASE DON'T!" I screeched, tears beginning to flow down my face.
Daniel, (the conscience version,) laughed maniacally. "Say 'bye-bye' to your precious Max!"
Daniel reached into my left pants' pocket, pulling out a pocket knife. How did he know I kept it in there for self-defense?
Max backed up, pressing his back against the wall. "WHAT THE HELL, Y/N?!" Max screamed, sweat trickling down his forehead. "WHY ARE YOU ACTING SO WEIRD?!"
Daniel chuckled. "Well, Maxwell-" he stepped closer to him, "-let's just say...I've had a change of heart."
"NO!" I yelled again, pounding on the screen.
Max's POV (Finally)
I honestly had no freaking idea why Y/N was acting so strange. But, as she was stepping closer to me, pocket knife in hand, I thought of something.
"You're not Y/N..," I growled, teeth bared.
"Y/N" laughed. "Guilty," they said, shrugging.
It was just as I had thought. "Daniel?" I asked, just making sure.
Daniel nodded his head.
"How. The hell. Did you. Get inside of Y/N?" I demanded slowly, grabbing Daniel's shirt.
Daniel chuckled. "Well, let's just say that I kidnapped your little princess and drank her blood. Now I'm here."
That made no sense to me whatsoever, but I didn't care. I just wanted Daniel out of Y/N's body.
And I would remove him from her even if it killed me.
Y/N's POV
'Smart boy,' I thought, continuing to bang on the glass. I found it impressive that Max had figured it out so quickly.
Daniel inched closer to Max, holding the knife near his throat threateningly.
The blade brushed against Max's throat, leaving a small cut.
That's when I gave one powerful punch, and the movie screen cracked.
"What the hell?" Daniel said aloud.
Max arched an eyebrow in confusion, wiping the small amount of blood that had dripped out of the cut with his sleeve.
My heart skipped a beat. "Yes!" I exclaimed, continuing to punch the screen.
The crack kept getting bigger with every punch. "Cut it out!" the conscience version of Daniel commanded.
I didn't listen. The movie screen eventually broke, and I saw a blinding white light.
When I could see things again, I looked around, and I was in Max's room. I had control of my body again!
My eyes moved to Max, and he was eyeing me with distaste.
"Max! It's me!" I cried, jumping into his arms.
"Y/N! Thank God you're back!" Max sighed, relief filling his voice as he hugged back.
Suddenly, a familiar voice growled out some curse words.
That's when both of our bodies went rigid. We slowly broke apart, and our eyes slowly looked around.
Our eyes landed on an enraged Daniel standing behind us. He stomped up to Max and I, and said, "Don't you damn kids think that we're finished here. Because we sure as hell aren't!"
He then snapped his fingers, a scowl on his face. He then teleported away.
"Thank God he didn't do anything serious to you or David..," Max muttered, scratching the back of his neck.
"What's that?" I teased, nudging Max in the arm. "You didn't want anything to happen to David?"
Max's eyes went wide and he blushed from embarrassment. "Can it, ya damn weirdo..."
I chuckled and ruffled Max's hair. "Well, I'll be heading home now. I need to recover from the traumatic experience I just had."
