There's a lot of time skips in this chapter.

Emily's PoV

After I climb out of the leaves I look towards the Froggit. 

-Time Skip-

As I enter a new room my phone rings. "Hello this is Toriel! For no reason in particular... Which do you prefer? Cinnamon or Butterscotch?"

"U mm... Bscotch! "

"Oh, I see. Thank you very much!" 

She hung up. I walk towards the rock and start pushing it forward. My phone rings again so I pick it up. " Hello this is Toriel. You do not DISLIKE cinnamon do you? I know what your preference is, but... Would you turn up your nose if you found it on your plate? Right, Right I understand. Thank you for being patient, by the way."

-Another Time Skip-

As I walk down the path I run into a ghost lying down saying Z repeatedly and "Are they gone yet." Trying to sneak around him I trip and fall above him sending a few leaves up. It triggers a fight. I hit act and check. 'This monster doesn't seem to have a sense of humour.' "Oh I'm really funny." He starts to cry and I move around avoiding his tears. The tears stop and I hit act again. Cheer. Next attack has some text. Napstablook looks a little bit better.  So I do it again and tell him a joke. "What's a ghost favorite part of a movie? The boopers!"  He laughs but crys again. 'Mood swings.' I think to myself. Cheering seems to have improved Napstablook's mood again. More cheer I think hitting cheer. He wants to show me something? "Let me try." Tears fly upwards forming a top hat. " I call it "Dapper blook. Do you like it?" I smile and clap.  Being random I hit flirt. The battle ends.

-Time Skip-

I run into a black tree with a small house behind. "Oh dear, that took longer than I thought it would." Toriel walks out from behind the tree and takes out her phone. She sees me and runs over. "How did you get here, my child? Are you hurt? There, there, I will heal you. I should not have left you alone for so long. It was irresponsible to try to surprise you like this. Err. I suppose I cannot hide it any longer. Come, small one. Seeing such a cute, tidy house in the RUINS gives me determination.
