Day 2:

Walking around people started talking to me, welcoming me, and being my friend. It was an adventure. I saw people enjoying themselves, I felt really welcomed but out of place.

I was talking to my friends when one of the teachers came up to us and said to my friends, "You guys should be more like Keiko... she's tough. right?" his hand was waiting for me to fist bump it and I did. He placed his hands on my shoulders. "Be like her girls." then he took his hands off of me and walked away.

I and my friends stared as he left, when he was out of earshot we laughed hysterically. "Wow.... that was weird but cool," I said to my friends.

"Yeah. Let's go over there." one of them said. "Come on." she pointed to some couches and we walked there.

Everyone was crowding around and I just hung around watching everyone.... feeling alone, but then that same teacher called me over, I'm guessing that he knew that I wasn't feeling in place so he was probably trying to make me feel better. He asked me about my last name, how to say it... and then he let me go back to my friends. I went back to the couches and talked to some more of my friends. The bell rang and I headed to class, smiling, I took one last glance at the teacher, he smiled back. I went down the hall to my class smiling happily, knowing that at least someone cared.
