Thalia's P.O.V
The tears had finally run dry. I still wanted to cry, but I had no tears left.
"Since the hunt doesn't have you to look after them, we are going to kill them all, one by one." Hyperion told us.
"They're all in camp half blood. They're safe there." Artemis shot back.
"Actually, just this morning they got a message from you saying to meet you at your regular camp site." Krios said, smiling widely.
"You little shit!" Artemis tried to lunge at him, but the shackles held her back. Krios tutted.
"What language!" He laughed mockingly. I stayed silent. Not that I could speak, with the lump in my throat every time I thought of Percy.
"I think we ought to teach her a lesson on manners. Don't you?" Hyperion asked Krios, who grinned.
"Of course-" He was interupted by a loud roar. Hyperion frowned.
"What was that?" Krios demanded.
"I'll go see." Hyperion muttered, disappearing into the shadows. There was silence for a few minutes, before someone cried out in pain, followed by a thud. Almost like a body dropping... Silence filled the air once again.
"Hyperion?" Krios called, looking around, obviously unnerved. No reply. "Hyperion?" He tried again. Still nothing. Krios licked his lips, looking around while unsheathing his sword. I looked around as well, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He gestured at two laistrygonian giants and they both followed after where Hyperion had gone. After a few minutes, Krios called,
"Well?" No answer. He cursed under his breath and turned to a couple of sphinxes. "Go see where those morons got to." He snarled. They all nodded and ran after the giants. There was nothing for a few moments, before the sound of hissing, roaring and shrieking filled the air. I looked towards it, but couldn't see what was going on. The sounds of the sphinxes fighting faded away and one last, blood curdling wail was heard. Krios' eyes reflected his fear in his otherwise emotionless stature. He turned, looking around. I also looked around, and saw a flash of black as something lightning fast (LOL, get it?) lunged at an empousa, before dragging her screaming away into the darkness. Her shrieks ended suddenly, and all of the other monsters looked around fearfully, aiming their weapons anywhere they could. I looked around for another glimpse of the mysterious creature and just caught a glimpse of a cyclopes being dragged away by his foot. He was clawing at the ground, his eye filled with terror, as the darkness swallowed him up. His screams were also ended suddenly. The other monsters were too paralysed with terror to try and help their brethren as one by one, they were dragged into the darkness and killed by the unidentified creature.
Krios glared at his monsters. "KILL IT!" He roared. The monsters snapped out of their stupor and all at once, rushed into the darkness to find the creature. I looked around, hearing the sounds of roaring, shrieking and screeching as the monsters fought, or was ripped apart by the creature. Fear was now obvious in Krios, but for some reason, I wasn't afraid. I was almost... relieved. But why? "SHOW YOURSELF!" Krios bellowed, turning in a circle looking for it. A dark shape came into view, covered in blood and monster grime. I felt a gasp escape my throat, and the tears I had thought had run out came pouring down my face. Krios stared at him fearfully.
"Percy." I whispered, my voice cracking. My green eyed cousin smiled at me.
"Hey Thals."
