Thalia's P.O.V

"What? Krios?" I asked in shock. Percy nodded.

"Where?"

"About a mile ahead. They're waiting for you to come past on the way to camp half blood and they're gonna kill you all." Percy told us.

"If they're mortals then we can't kill them with our weapons." Phoebe said. I immediately took charge of the situation.

"Split into four different groups. We must go around the mortal camp, stealthily." I added.

~Time skip~half an hour later~

We walked slowly, eight of us in total. Phoebe, Atlanta, Catherine, Kellan, Pierce, Elizabeth, Percy and I. (Just made the people up) We stealthily made our way past the mortal camp, slowly getting closer to camp half blood. Percy froze and lifted his muzzle to the air.

"Monos? What is it?" I whispered. "Run." Was all he said. I felt my legs start moving before I actually realised what he had said. Soon we were all running at full speed, sounds of shouting clear behind us. I knew they were getting closer. Gun shots rang through the air. Bullets were hitting the ground by our feet and the trees by our faces, spraying bark at us.

"They're getting closer." Percy said.

"You think?" I said sarcastically.

"Hey! I'm the one who warned you!" He shot back.

"Stop fighting you two. We've got bigger things to worry about." Phoebe interrupted us. I could see the forest border in front of us and behind it, camp half bloods' boundary.

"I'll distract them." I heard Percy say and he turned around and ran towards our pursuers, teeth bared in a vicious snarl. I heard shouting and gunshots. Then I heard Percy growl. We made it past the forest border when I heard it. Percy snarled and a loud clear sound shot through a gun. I heard Percy yelp then I heard the sound of a heavy body falling to the ground. I peered anxiously trough the trees.

"Is he okay?" Catherine asked nervously.

"He had to be. He can't die." I whispered. A few moments later nothing happened.

"Come on." I whispered. Still nothing happened.

"No." I whispered, "no no no no no." I felt close to tears.

"He can't die!" I shouted.

"Thalia, we have to-" Phoebe stopped in the middle of her sentence as a dark shape emerged from the forest. Percy limped into view and slowly made his way towards us.

"Thank gods." I sobbed.

"More's coming. We need to go now." He panted.

"Let's go." I said and turned. As we started running again I heard shouts.

"Thalia, look out!" I heard Percy yell. Something tackled me from behind and I was sent rolling away, into the last few steps of Camp Half Bloods boundary. I breathed out a sigh of relief.

"We made it." I let out a shaky laugh then noticed something that made my heart stop. Percy was tangled in a bronze net, trying to get free while the mortals tried to drag him away. Then one of the mortals threw something at the ground. It exploded into a thick white mist and when the mist cleared, Percy and the mortals were gone.

"No." I whispered, "No!" I screamed and tried to run to him but I felt Phoebe and Atlanta hold me back.

"Let me go!" I shouted.

"No, it's too late." Phoebe hissed into my ear.

"No! I need to save him!" I shouted.

"Thalia, he's gone."
