So the scene starts outside hospital OT, where everyone is waiting for doctor to come out

Neela maa is crying& shweta& prakash are consoling her whereas neil is leaning on a nearby wall- going through a series of emotions
Soon the doctors come out& everyone gathers around them

Dr- she has some minor injuries &is out of danger but...

N-but what doctor?

Dr- due to the sudden force she faced on her head, she has lost her memory

The small smile which had crept on everyone's face has again vanished& their faces have again become dull

N-can we meet her?

Dr-currently shes on sedatives but will gain consciousness soon so 1of you can go& sit near her
dr leaves

Neil nodded& went inside while neela maa sank her face in her palms

Neil sat on the stool& caressed avni's bandaged forehead
A tear unknowingly slipped down his eye

Neil interwined their fingers gently& was silently staring at avni
Soon his eyes became heavy &he slept off until nearly 45minutes later when avni moved her fingers, waking neil up at once

He smiled& called the doctor who checked her
Family members also came inside

Dr-she is fine& will get discharge in 3days
here are some medicine, make sure she takes them on time

N-sure doctor

The doctor left& everyone turned to face avni who, as expected, had a totally confused look on her face
Neela hugged her& caressed her hair

On avni's insistence, they introduced themselves& avni understood her relations with each of them, although she was still not able to recognise anyone

They didnt question neil bcz they also had a hope that neil will be able to handle avni the best& left for khanna mansion

Neil returned to the room& saw avni awake, looking at the ceiling fan bankly
He could see that the only expression her face had was of confusion
He sighed& sat on the stool

N-avni look at me

Avni didnt respond so neil moved her face towards him by her chin

N-i know ke tumhare mann men bohot sawaal h& you need not wait
Tum chahe abhi poocho ya baad men, im ready to answer all of them

Avni spoke with a somewhat blank expression

A-when did we get married?

It was an arranged marriage
Our fathers were old friends who lost contact after coming to Mumbai

Neil sighed& spoke

N-he died in car accident few years ago
He was the only child of your grandmother
She couldnt digest the news& died soon after your father's death

Avni asked many more questions& neil answered all of them
Some of his answers were honest& some were lies
He obviously didnt want to lie to his dear wifey but for her early recovery& not taking stress on trying to recollect her past, he cooked up many stories whereas avni had no option but to believe him

But apart from questions related to her past, childhood &reason behind their marriage, whatever neil said was straight from his heart- without any lies in it which was clearly visible in his eyes

Neil kept avni intrigued in all this stuff& avni didnt realize when neil fed her the hospital's tasteless food& her medicines, which she wouldve straight away refused to consume, if not kept busy

Avni slept early bcz of heavy medicines& exhaustion whereas neil started to caress her hair gently

N(to himself)- im sorry wifey- tumse itne sare jhoot bolne ke liye
Par tumhari health &emotional betterment ke liye sahi hoga agar tum apne past ko bilkul bhool jao

All of avni's medical files& bills were checked after which she was getting discharged

Neil forwarded his hand- indicating her to hold it& avni held it hesitantly
Others had already left &AvNeil were coming by the driver

Khanna mansion-

Everyone planned to give avni a great welcome so they prepared everything regarding her grah pravesh
Soon AvNeil also reached& avni performed the rituals, while scanning the house side by side
What was something normal few days back, had turned totally new now which was pretty obvious

AvNeil went upstairs &when neil opened the door, he was shocked at the sight in front of him

Neil made avni sit on the sofa& sat beside her& made her face him

Avni's cheek immediately turned red so neil again convinced her to not worry about all this

Neil woke up at night to drink water& when he was about to sleep, he heard avni's soft snores which were like music to his ears

N-my jaan was tired since so many days
Thank god you are in deep slumber rn& i will make sure that nobody is able to snatch this smile off your face& your past wont haunt you ever again jaan

He was caressing her hair when she snuggled into his chest
Neil covered her more with the duvet, pulled her more closer& slept off with a huge smile on his face

Next day-

Avni was the first to wake up
she blinked her eyes for a while to get adjusted to the sunlight& then realised that she was actually hugging neil
She gently yet immediately broke the hug, feeling embarrassed

A(to herself)-oh god

She immediately took clothes from the cupboard &went to freshen up

When she came out& was drying her hair, neil spoke

Avni immediately turned to face him

Avni was still feeling uneasy so he decided to divert her mind

Time flew &3 months went by
Initially neil felt that he will be able to bring his old avni back by being her friend before her husband
It had worked but didnt last for long

Although avni had started to accept neela maa& khannas as her family, she was again hesitant to accept neil or even talk to him when they were alone in the room

It wasnt like neil tried to come close to her without her consent or get romantic all of a sudden or make her feel uncomfortable by any other move
Avni too, never ignored him& always pay attention if he said something important but she always became concious when neil was around her

She was still hesitant to have a heart to heart conversation with him& sharing her inner feelings with him
Neil ignored it initially- thinking that she needs time& will open up to him on her own but when it didnt happen for 3long months, he finally decided to break the ice which had built all of a sudden

After dinner, AvNeil in room

Avni came out of the washroom &neil made her sit on the edge of the bed, leaving her surprised

He kneeled in front of her& spoke

N-avu i know you have been going through a variety of emotions in past 3months which is obvious in this situation but ese chup chaap bethne se toh kaam nahi chalega na

Avni finally lifted her gaze which was lowered till now
Her cheeks& lips started to wobble
In no time, her eyes became blurry& the tears which were initially resting on her eye lashes finally made their way down her eyes
It didnt take her silent sniffs to turn into pretty heavy sobs

Neil just hugged her& caressed her back
He didnt tell her to stop bcz he wanted her to release all her pent up feelings- no matter how she does it
Few tears slipped down his eyes too but he somehow controlled himself for the moment

A(between sob)-yes i had started opening up but i was also feeling guilty that everyone is being so patient with me& waiting for my early recovery but i dont remember anyone
Forget other- i didnt even remember my name

I dont remember what stage of marriage we were- we loved eachother or not, any special moments we spent together, any surprises we gave to eachother &made memories- i dont remember anything

I was scared that has this relationship turned into a burden on you after my accident?
Will i loose the place& respect you have in your heart for me?

I didnt ask you bcz i was scared that how would you react after hearing my questions

Neil sighed& pulled avni in his lap, making her gasp
She tried to get off but neil held her more closely

N-wifey memories ka kya h- even if you forgot, we will create new ones
Mene pehle bhi kaha tha that we will start afresh

A-are you sure to start everything from scratch?

N-of course
We will give our family, marriage &our life a new beginning

Avni smiled &hugged neil happily, leaving him surprised for a moment
Nevertheless, he too smiled& caressed her hair

N(to himself)- she isnt my ladydon anymore &has become very much emotional &the situation she is going through, its very easy for her to feel insecure
Although no such situation is gonna occur yet i will have to make sure that i will give her as much time as possible bcz if something happens this time, it will be very difficult to convince her

Neil lowered his gaze &saw his wifey fast asleep
He adjusted her on the bed properly, pulled her in his embrace &slept off

I know i took too long in updating this story- despite recieving so many dms& comments on the first update (concept) But all this was bcz i was struggling while writing avni's vp- its a major part of this ss &i couldnt afford to mess it up
Even now im doubtful that how well i will potray it
