"Okay, see you guys tomorrow at school!" I said to Jake and Kayla who were just now leaving my house.

"Okay, bye Sophie!!" Kayla replied, giving me one last tight hug.

Once she pulled away, Jake came up to me and gave me a quick hug. "Bye, Sophie," he whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. After pulling away, he gave me a warm smile, showing off the most adorable dimples I've ever seen. 

I walked to the elevator sleepily. Once the doors opened, I saw Troy wearing nothing but boxers. I sheilded my eyes. "Gosh, Troy! Put some freaking clothes on!"

"Eh, well you are my new sister so get used to it."

"I am not your sister, so don't say that. And what are you even doing up? It's like one in the morning!"

"I'm hungry. Want a poptart?"

"No, I'm not hungry." As if on cue, my stomach grumbled. Sighing, I added, "Sure, and add a juice box."

He rolled his eyes at me and went into the kitchen. I walked into the elevator and pressed the button for the second floor.

Once I was in my room, I pulled out a pair of black Soffees and a white tee shirt. As I pulled off my shirt, the worst thing happened.

Troy came into my room. "Sophie, there was only --" He stopped mid-sentence when he say me standing in my bra. I blushed and quickly put my tee shirt on.

"Thanks Troy, just put it on my bed."

He put my stuff on my bed and said, "Sorry...."

I nodded. "Uh, you can...go now."

"Oh, yeah." He quickly left my room. Shaking my head, I put on my Soffees and climbed in bed. I put in my headphones that were plugged into my iPhone. I was humming along to the song as I atr my poptart and texted Kayla. 

Eventually I fell asleep.

"Sophie, are you okay?" Kayla asked.

"Uh, yeah, why?" I asked.

"Because I was calling your name for at least three minutes!"

I chuckled, shaking my head."Oh, sorry. What did you say?" 

"I said that your boyfriend is going to be here in a few minutes.

Boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend...."Kay, I don't have a boyfriend! What are you talking about?"

"Yeah, you do!"

"Jake?"

"No. He passed away two years ago. Are you sure you're okay?" I nodded. Jake's dead? How did he die?? "Look, there he is now!" She started running to Troy. Troy...? I followed after her.

"Hey, babe," he said, pulling me into a hug.

"Why'd you call me babe? What's going on here?"

"...Because you're my girlfriend, duh. Now let's go somewhere."

"Sure, where do you want to go?"

"Let's go bowling!" Troy suggested.

"No, we're going to the beach," Kay clarified. 

"Okay?"

"Come on, Soph! We have to get a good spot on the beach!" Kayla yelled, as she ran oit of the car.

"I'm coming!" Grabbing my bag, I gor out of Troy's car and walked to the beach. I spread out my towel and put my bag on top of it. Once I took my cover-up off, I speinted to the water with Troy and Kayla behind me. 

The water was so cold! Oh, well, I'll get use to it, I guess. 

"Oh my gosh, Sophie!!" Kayla screeched.

"What?"

"I'll be back!"

"Wait where are you going?" I asked.

"Just saw a cute guy! So I have to go!"

I chuckled and nodded. I watched as she ran towards this mysterious guy. Typical Kayla....

"Soph?" Troy said, making me snap my head in my direction.

"Wha--" He splashed water into my face! I smacked his arm before spashing him with water. Then, I ran away. I ran up onto the sand because the water was just holding me back. I sprinted down the beach, kicking sand up behind me.

Obviously, Troy was a lot faster than me. I could hear him directly behind me. 

"Sophie!" he called. I kept running even though I know he could catch me at any moment now. And I was right! He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, spinning me around. 

I shrieked as I laughed. Once I was put back down on the ground, I smiled at him. His eyes were a perfect blue color, and his smile was incredible. His face over all, was pretty amazing. He is actually really good looking, but I would never tell him that.

Wait was I checking him out?? Stop it, Sophie!!

"Sophie," he breathed. He was still trying to catch his breath.

"Yeah?" My voice came out just barely audible. 

"Are you hungry?" Okay, I wasn't expecting that. But yeah, I was hungry, so I nodded. "Come on." He took my hand in his and led me to a restaurant. I'm not sure what it was called, but it looked fancy....And trust me, I am not wearing the right clothing for this restaraunt. I was wearing my bikini for crying out loud!

I looked down at my body, and I was wearing....clothes? What? When did I Put clothes on...?

"Happy anniversary, Soph."

Anniversary? "How long have we been....you know, together?"

"About a year, why?"

"Just asking....And Troy?"

"Yes?"

"How did Jake die?" I asked. No really, I wanted to know why he died. How he died. 

"He was in a car accident, don't you remember? You were with him."

"How did I survive, and he didn't...?"

"Well, you two were going out on a date, but when you guys were on your way there, some guy rammed into you. By the time I got there, you were in the hospital, and Jake was....gone."

"Wait, so Jake and I were together?" I asked.

He gritted his teeth. "Yeah, you were."

Really?? "Oh..."

"But, I visited the hospital almost every day to see you. And everyday, you were still in a coma."

"I was in a coma!?"

"Yes, Sophie. How do you not remember??"

"I...don't know....But then what?"

"The day you woke up, I was so happy. I've never been that happy before in my life. Just to see your hazel eyes....Gosh, I almost lost you, Soph. That was the day I told you that I loved you...."

Oh my gosh.... "Y-you love me?" I cannot believe that.

He smiled at me, "Of course, Sophie. I know we used to hate each others' guts, but everytime I saw you with Jake, I couldn't help but feel a tad bit jealous. And the day you told me your story, I knew that I liked you..."

I was in complete shock. Troy loved me.... Leaning across the table, I was about to kiss him, but then I heard someone call my name. 

"Sophie!"
