Chapter 2

"Mr L/n?" A female voice spoke from behind a double door. "Come in!" A male voice responded. The double doors opened to reveal a woman in a mostly black attire, a red shirt, and a police badge. This was Detective Ellen Yin.

She walked into a modest looking office, and behind the desk with two monitors on it was Y/n L/n, Founder and CEO of Hell's Gate Waste Disposal. "So, what laws got broken this time Detective?" Y/n asked. "Lack of acknowledgment, felony." Yin answered, taking a seat.

"Sorry about that. Creating a company, especially one that competes with Waste Management, is quite time consuming. I'm amazed that not only was I lucky enough to find this time, but that you were in Gotham aswell!" Y/n explained.

"Yeah, the Metropolis Police Chief had us working overtime for the past month to catch Toyman while the Boy Scout's off Earth." Yin said. "Damm. Have you caught a break since we graduated college?" Y/n asked. "I could ask you the same thing." Yin pointed out.

Y/n held his hands up in mock surrender. "For real though, it's nice to see you Yin." Y/n said. "It's nice to see you too Y/n. Actually, I almost forgot to tell you. I'm getting transferred." Yin said. "Really? Where to?" Y/n asked. "Guess." Y/n put a pen up to his chin while thinking. "China." He playfully guessed.

"Gotham. Shit try though." Yin responded. "Well, you certainly won't have much better luck here. Ever since Batman turned out to be Bryce Wayne, criminal activity jumped higher." Y/n told her. "You might have to fill me in on why that's happening." Yin said.

"I suppose it might not make sense to those not raised in Gotham. Basically, Batman put the fear of everything into criminals better than Scarecrow's toxin ever could. When the big bad bat turned out to be a rich girl with a name and face, they stopped being fearful. Even more so when her sidekicks left Gotham afterwards." Y/n tried to explain.

"I see." Yin said before her phone rang. She answered it and stood up. "Hello. Yes. I see. Now? I thought that place was abandoned? Yes sir. See you soon." Yin said before ending the call. "Your boss?" Y/n asked. "Yep. Wants to to join up on an investigation to get my bearings on this type of crime. Want to meet up later?" Yin asked.

"Sure. I have a free spot this weekend. Good luck Yin!" Y/n said as she left, closing the door behind her. Y/n breathed a sigh of relief before going back to his computer. He typed a few lines on his keyboard before both monitors showed a red bat symbol. "Now, back to batwork." Y/n joked to himself.

Data came up along with a map of Gotham. "So, Black Mask is keeping guns at Miagami fair docks, or at least keeping them there before transferring somwhere else. If I'm lucky, I might be able to get info on where Black mask is hiding. And now onto the other part." Y/n typed some more bringing up a picture of a van.

"I also found that a North Refrigeration van had brought the guns from one of Penguin's stashes. If I can find one of those trucks using the CCTV cameras, it might lead me to the stash. It's a shame her villains didn't go away too. But I have a job to do." Y/n spoke to himself, getting up.

He walked over to a wall and tilted a picture of him and his friends from college. The wall then opened up, allowing him to walk into an elevator. The elevator went down and the wall closed up, leaving no trace.
