JERRY'S POV

Jerry still couldn't believe that he was in a new school. He hated seeing new faces but he also loved it too. He stood straight behind the whiteboard with his backpack hung on his back. His supposed new classmates stared at him as though he was a criminal or something. Yes, he had done bad things before but they didn't know that, right?

"Feel free to interact with them. They are your brothers and sisters. Make him feel at school," the principal said as he laughed his way out of the class. Jerry wanted to be him at that moment.

Though the class was wide, most seats had been occupied. Luckily, he spotted an empty seat behind a tall dark guy who seemed fun and creepy at the same time. Creepy because he was staring and smiling at Jerry at the same time. As he settled into the seat, the tall guy grinned and took it upon himself to start an introductory conversation.

"Hello, hi, welcome, I'm Daniel by the way and which  school are you coming from?" He asked weirdly confirming Jerry's suspicion. The dude was creepy.

"Hmm," Jerry paused cause he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell him now. He continued, "Pride of Scholars. That's the name of my former school."

"Hahaha!" Daniel giggled mockingly. He didn't blame him though,  the name of his previous school sounded weird.

"What kind of school is that?" Daniel asked with a  noticeable smirk.

A better school than yours, Jerry thought to himself.

Daniel shouted, "Gbolex, come here! Guy, listen to this."

Jerry nearly snorted, he didn't understand why Daniel needed to tell everyone.

Gbolex hurried to them.  "Sup bro!" He greeted Jerry. Gbolex was short, dark-skinned and he had a big mouth.

Before Jerry could even return the greeting, Daniel mocked. "The name of his former school is Pride Of Scholars."

"Hahaha! Dude, free him," Gbolex said playfully.

"Anyways, welcome to our class," Daniel welcomed with a grin.

"Thanks."

"Bro, this class is legit crazy," Gbolex smirked. Jerry wasn't surprised, he kind of already suspected it from the moment he walked in.

"As in," Daniel nodded.

Gbolex turned to the noisy class and screamed, "Guys!"

But they didn't answer him cause they were lost in their various discussions. Dam, this class is noisy.

"Y'all should please behave for once," Gbolex pleaded loudly.

"How far na?" (Also means what's up?)" One of them asked.

"Let's introduce ourselves to Jerry," Gbolex suggested. They all nodded in agreement.

"I'm the one and only Gbolex AKA Batuli Humble. I'm into rapping and Afro music. I'm all about catching cruise, bro" Gbolex introduced himself with swags but  Jerry doubted if those were actually swags.

"You already know that my name is Daniel. I'm a cool dude and feel free to ask for help. I'll even help you to copy your notes," Daniel offered.

"Daniel is my best friend,"
Ese said possessively. Jerry wondered why the fat dude suddenly just acted all possessive.

"Ese, Who asked you?" Gbolex retorted.

"You know Ese is gay na," Irayo teased. Jerry glanced at her for a second. Oh, she's beautiful, he thought to himself.

"Irayo, please pity my son. He just chop breakfast this morning (meaning his girlfriend just broke up with him), do you want him to lose his best friend too?" Zaizai sounded sarcastic and pitiful at the same time. Zaizai was 5 feet and two inches short, she was dark-skinned with short dark virgin hair. She sat beside her best friend, Irayo. Later, Jerry came to know that the fast dude was Ese, and the two girls who sassed Ese were Irayo and Zaizai.

They were all weirdly funny.

"You guys should leave me alone," Ese said and lay his head on his desk.

A different dark-skinned tall lady approached Jerry and introduced herself.  "Hi, I'm Gbemi and I'm very friendly."

"Ese, it's like Jerry is here to take your best friend, Daniel, and your girlfriend or should I say ex, Gbemi, away from you," Gbolex teased with a  smirk, earning loud giggles from everyone except Ese and Jerry.

These people should not make Ese hate me. I don't want the dude to think that I'm his enemy or something. Those were the thoughts in Jerry's head as the rest continued to laugh.

Gbolex continued loudly pointing to another fat guy, "You see that weirdly shaped fat guy over there, he's my one and only, the sugar in some of my raps, my GEE, Great. I'm pleased to introduce Great to you."

Great waved, earning a similar wave from Jerry.

"That girl, that fine girl over there," he paused pointing to the girl. Okay, why couldn't they just introduce themselves by themselves? Why was he helping them? "Her name is Divine. Don't fall for her,  she may be beautiful outside but not really on the inside," he whispered but it was loud enough to reach Divine's ears.

"If I slap you, your head will separate into pieces.  No mind am jare his head dey knack sometimes (don't mind him, his brain can be dysfunctional at times)," Divine hissed, raising her right hand in the air as though she was going to slap him.

"I will take over now, your introduction is slow," Irayo dismissed him causing some of them to laugh.

"Ahem! This girl at the back of you her name is Zainab AKA Suzy. She's a very strange person but she's an entertainer most of the time Those two at the back edge of the class, the tall girl and the short boy, they are unbelievably twins, I know they don't look alike at all but they really are. They are known as Daniel and Favor and they're always fighting for food," she paused to catch her breath:  Jerry was so shocked cause
they didn't look like twins. Irayo continued, "That fair beautiful girl over there, her name is Aminat AKA Minah. She's serious sometimes and crazy most times but she's lovable and she can die for BTS Korean anything in general."

"Awwnn, you love me," Minah grinned. Irayo hissed, "I don't."

"Hmm, the girl beside Suzy is Ayo. she's a trouble maker but she's fun sometimes." Jerry nodded, trying not to forget any detail.

"Those two by the wall are the weirdest couple in this school. The slim girl is Esther and the dude with a turkey-shaped mouth is Samuel," Irayo said with a smirk.

"Irayo!" Samuel screamed.

"What! Moving on, this guy in front of you is Israel, Israel is just Israel but he can sing."

Israel smiled. Israel was kind of short and he could easily be distinguished cause of his baby voice.

"Wait! I wanna introduce myself by myself," a light-skinned somewhat tall student rushed to Jerry's corner.

"I'm Okiki but call me Kicky. I can be nice when I choose to be. I'm more of an IDGAF person," Kicky smiled a smile that reached her eyes.

"And you already know I'm Zaizai. I'm down for anything fun and I've got my friends' backs always," Zaizai was cheerful.

"Yes, the last but not the least is me, Mumirayo AKA Irayo, I'm just me, the ugliest of them all I'm done," she clapped her hands. She seemed beautiful to Jerry.

"You forgot about me," a dude who he presumed was gay interrupted.

"I'm Michael, the finest of them all, you know," he started laughing and started walking like a girl. causing everyone to cough.

"That cough will choke all of you. Whatever,  I don't care.  Okay, you've seen all of us so list your top five finest babes and guys," Michael suggested with a wink.

"Michael!" They screeched in unison.  

"What! It's just a question," Michael shrugged.

Seriously?! The universe just had to give me crazy classmates. Well, let's see how it goes. Jerry hoped everything went well but little did he know or perhaps little did they know what awaited them in 14 days.
