SHORT DANIEL'S POV

They didn't stop sprinting even though they were tired, especially Short Daniel whose body ached from the beating. He regretted not picking up Divine. At least, he could have been chewing something right now.

Unfortunately, the zombie's tail had stretched towards them. "Nooooo!"

They however didn't stop running until something unbelievable happened. Ese was suddenly raised into the air by its tail.

"ESE!!!!!" We screamed. "Not my best friend," Tall Daniel cried.

Zaizai's face was covered in tears. "Ese, my school son, and my biggest customer."

Minah also wept. "First, I lost my vampire mate and now, my human mate is gone, too."

Irayo just stood motionless, eyes intently gazing up at the sky. "Muhahaha!" The zombie's laughter reminded them that this wasn't over. They took on their heels for the nth time.

Suddenly, something heavy landed on Short Daniel's head, causing him to fall.

"Ese!" They shouted.

Short Daniel was happy to know it was Ese but he wondered why he was still crushing him. Does Ese want to kill him? "Hey, stand up!"

"His blood is useless to Ibabi so we rejected him," the zombie's voice was heard from above but they couldn't see him completely. They could only see its wide, smooth, red tail.

Finally, Ese got up from Short Daniel's body. "Thank God, Can't you see how huge you are and I'm just a thin guy. Do you want to kill me?" Short Daniel ranted but everyone ignored him.

The boys engulfed Ese in a tight hug. Zaizai heaved a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad my biggest customer survived this."

"Is that all you care about?" Ese pretended to be heartbroken.

"Mchewww," Zaizai hissed and everyone giggled.

Their joy was short-lived though. The zombie's tail stretched out once more and this time, it carried Suzy who began to cry.

Of course, they screeched. "SUZY!!!!"

"Let's hope she'll be useless to Ibabi, too," Kicky sounded hopeful.

But Ibabi is the last place to be hopeful. "YES! She's exactly what Ibabi needs. Muhahaha!!!!"

"NOO'!!!! SUZY!!!!"

"Guys, we can't stop running," Tall Daniel pointed out.

Short Daniel shook his head. "It's obvious that we're all gonna die so there's no point in running.

"Die alone," Great said and started running. They followed in his lead except Short Daniel who stood there. After ten seconds, he shrugged and ran after them.

The more they ran, the more the sands became wet. "Look, it's a river," Tall Daniel screamed from afar, pointing to the shallow river.

"Maybe, it's our way out of this f*cked up Ibebebi," Ese voiced.

"Mumu, it's Ibababi," Irayo corrected.

"Let's try to swim," Tall Daniel said and jumped into the River.

Before they could join him, they got even more terrified to see what was behind Tall Daniel.

"Look behind you!" Kicky barked. "What?!" Daniel looked to his left but couldn't see it.

If only he concentrated his eyes on the right side, then he would have seen the huge snake The snake was a combination of all the erasers that Short Daniel had ever chewed. Believe it or not, he had chewed millions.

"SNAKE!" Gbolex, yelled, pointing to the snake.

"He's gonna die," Irayo was pathetic.

"Ahhhhh!!" Tall Daniel screamed when his face finally fell on the snake but of course, it was too late. The snake pulled Tall Daniel into the river.

"No! My namesake, my friend that always defends me," Short Daniel was first to cry.

"Daniel!!!' The rest began to sob as well.
