A Single Beat

Roy's POV
Maes laughed as I told him what happened. "I can't believe you just left the flowers there!" He laughed. "Hey! Its not my fault I walked there at a bad time!" I snapped back at him. Maes sighed. "I thought you didn't like music Roy." He teased. "I don't. Its just Edward seems different from the other composers. He seems more in flow and it looks like he's more into his music." I replied. Maes laughed. "Wow Roy! You could tell all that from one concert?!" Maes exclaimed. I nodded. I was very good at reading people. And when Edward was handed his award for winning, he seemed different. "So, you wanna head to another one of Ed's concerts then Roy?" Maes asked. "Sure." I replied before I could think about my answer. Maes smiled. "Okay!"
Ed's POV
We drove home and I couldn't get that guy I saw in the crowd out of my head. I looked at the flowers. 'Could those flowers been from him?' I thought. Al looked at me. "Deep in thought again?" He asked. "Sort of." I replied. "Ed, you really should start getting more sleep." Winry said softly. I nodded and sunk low into the seat. "I'm gonna take a nap." I stated. They nodded. I let my eyes close as I fell asleep.
Al's POV
Winry sighed as Brother fell asleep. "Hey Al?" She asked. "Hm?" I asked. "How long has it been? Since that day?" She asked me. I looked out the window. "It's been six years since that day. And its been one year since I woke up." I replied. Winry nodded softly. "When you were in that condition...Ed was really taking hard." She explained. I frowned softly and nodded. "I had a feeling." I muttered.

The rest of the car ride was silent as we drove home. When we pulled up, I woke Ed up. "Brother wake up. We're home." I said softly, shaking him. Ed's eyes opened slowly and he yawned, sitting up. His door was opened as he leaned back, falling out the car. I couldn't help but laugh. "THATS NOT FUNNY!" He yelled, but smiling and laughing himself. Ed slid out of the car and stood up, dusting himself off. "Let's get inside." I suggested. Ed nodded. "Yeah. Let's go." He replied. We walked inside of the house and Winry was already inside. "Ed, hand me your trophey for a sec." She said. Ed groaned, ready knowing what was going to happen. Winry had a camera set up already as she postioned Ed and I. She gave Ed back the trophy and she clicked her phone camera. It was a count down so she had time to jump in. Ed was holding the trophy with a huge grin and Winry and I were smiling as well. Ed had been in the middle of us, him being the shortest. "All done!" Winry exclaimed. Ed sighed and walked to his shelf, placing the trophy with the others. "Mom would be super proud Brother." I said to him. Ed smiled slightly and nodded. "Yeah, she would be." He replied. "Hey Brother. You wanna play something with me?" I asked. Ed grinned. "Sure!" He replied. I smiled and we ran towards our music room like little children would run to their favorite amusement park ride. "Don't run idiots!" Winry yelled, following us.
Ed's POV
We walked inside and I grabbed my music. Al took the seat at the piano and I sat next to him. "Ready Brother?" He asked. I nodded. "Yup." Al nodded and began playing the first few beats of the song.
"This journey isn't a end. I can bet you that. This is just the beginning." I sang.
Winry's POV
Now that I think about it, I never heard Ed sing before. "Hey Ed!" I called once they were done. "What?" He replied. "That song. I've decided. You and Al are playing for your next concert." I said, smiling. Ed smiled and so did Al. They have amazing talent. So why not share it?
