What a Waste of a Lovely Night?
Wally P.O.V.
Getting the lead role in the musical was not something I was proud of. The only reason my friends and I signed up was because Riley Grayson signed up. She got the lead girl part which I guess was okay.
Timeskip
"The sun is nearly gone, the lights are turning on. A silver shine that stretches to the sea. We stumble on a view, that's tailor-made for two. What a shame those two are you and me. Some other girl and guy would love this swirling sky, but there's only you and I and we've got, no shot. This could never be. You're not the type for me." I sang while Riley sat down on a bench.
"Really?" She asked signing out and with one skinny eyebrow up.
"There's not a spark in sight. What a waste of a lovely night." I finished as she stood up and cleared her throat.
"You say there's nothing here? Well, let's make something clear. I think I'll be the one to make that call." She sang high and joyfully.
"So you'll call?" I asked.
"And though you look so cute in your polyester suit."
"It's wool." I said dully.
"You're right, I'd never fall for you at all. And maybe this appeals to someone, not in heals. Or to anyone who feels, there's some chance the romance. But, I'm frankly feeling nothing." She sang sitting down and fake sulking.
"Is that so." I sang sitting down.
"Or it could be less than nothing." She sang smiling getting up.
"Good to know, so you agree?"
"That's right." She sang taking my arm.
"What a waste of a lovely night." We sang together. The director cut us off.
"That was horrible, no emotion!" The lady said in her German accent. "Riley, go practice with the girls." Riley walked off the stage to talk to her friends as they went into the next room. I should probably explain how this all happened.
Flashback
"Dude please!!!!!!!" Roy asked eying Artemis Crock who was talking to Megan Morse, Zatanna Zatara, and Riley Grayson. "Riley is signing up," Roy said elbowing me.
"Fine. I'll sign up." I said giving up. for the freaking school musical. Little did I know that I would be abandoned. They signed up for backstage.
"A horrible job huh," Roy said laughing. The blonde girl Artemis was closing the door when she giggled. When the door slammed shut I went to practice. This is going to take a lot of work to impress miss. german over there. What a waste of a lovely night.
