Hailey/Ultra pov

"Hey Hailstone where you going?" Logan said. I had just finished packing. "I got called to help the Avengers. I think I'm going to be babysitting Loki." I said.we both laughed. "Mind if I fly you?" he asked. "If you can beat me sure." I said.

We fought. I let Logan win of course. my mutation was stronger. He flew me to the Helicarrier. "Hey kid be safe okay?" Logan said. "I'm a mutant. It's an occupational hazard. Don't worry if we need help you'll be the first I call." I said. Logan was like my brother. He laughed and I got out.

"Hailey nice to meet you at last." director Fury said. How could I kill her? he thought. I threw him a very dirty look. A blond came up. "Hello you must be the new agent. What's your name?" he asked. "Hailey Sanchez and you are?" I said. "Steven Rodgers m'am." he said. That explains the new power in my mental catalog."captain would you mind showing her where she'll be staying." Fury said.

Steve first showed me the lab. Tony Stark and a black haired man I couldn't place were there. "Hey Capsicle. Who's the chic?" stark said. "My name is hailey." I said. "I'm sorry about him. He's an asshole." Steven said. "I'm Bruce Banner. what can you do?" The black haired one asked. "I'm a mutant. They call me Ultra. I can pick up the abilities of others. It can be as complex as the iron man suit or as simple as playing a piano. By the way." I shot an electromagnetic pulse at Stark. "That's for calling me a chic." I said. It narrowly missed him. "Wow this one's a fighter." He said.

"Avengers meeting now." fury said over the intercom. We got there last. I saw a blond long haired guy and a red headed girl. "Hailey this is Natasha aka black widow and that's Thor." Steven said. "Loki is still refusing to talk." Fury said. "What do you want us to do?" I said. "I want you to talk to him." Fury said. "Me? why?" I asked. "Because you're the only one he hasn't heard of." Fury said. "It's rational." Natasha said. in the end I had to go.

I took a quiet deep breath and walked in. Loki's back was to me. I walked until I was inches from the glass. I cleared my throat. He turned around confused. "Who are you?" he asked. Holy lord he's hot. Wait what am I saying? "I'm hailey." I said. "I'm impressed. no one can sneak up on me like that. I suppose you're going to demand information." He was calm deliberate and very frustrating to figure out. "No I just want to talk." I said. "It's weird I've never heard of you before this." He said. "If you had a weapon that could undo you would you boast about it?" I asked. "I guess not. Tell me why are you that weapon." Loki said. "I'm a mutant. My nickname is Ultra. I can pick up abilities from virtually any thing. I've been at Xavier's school for the gifted since I was three." I said.

"You're very hard to figure out Hailey." He said. "I find you to be as difficult." I said. "Why did you come here in the first place?" he said. "Fury knows a lot about me and what I am. He says he'll keep quiet if I came here." I said. he reminded me a little of Logan when I was six. Always trying to figure me out. "You honestly weren't sent in here to extract information." He said. "Fury told me to but I didn't listen. Loki if I were you I'd drag it out because I know Fury wants me and probably you dead. He needs me now but I'm a loose cannon to him. When I am no longer useful he'll dispose of me." I said.

"You didn't do anything I said. You went rogue." Fury said. "If he trusts me I can get more from him." I said. "Come on Fury let her do it her way." Stark said. "Thank you." I said. I inwardly grinned as Fury left. "Thanks Stark." I said.

I don't know why but I was kinda drawn to Loki. I rationalized I was because he's hard to figure out. A part of me says because he's attractive. Either way I went back the next day.

I didn't sneak in. "You're different Hailey. everyone else doesn't like coming here." He said. "I don't know why but I feel like I can open up to you. I've only every felt this way around manipulating mutant. Wait you're manipulating me." I said pretending to be hurt. "I'm not. you never did explain why you're a loose cannon to Fury." He said. "A couple of years ago I fell in love with a human. I thought he loved me for me but then he introduced me to the Brotherhood. He was a manipulator. I eventually fought his power off not before gaining every power the brotherhood had. One of these powers they used on me. This girl she could make anyone feel like they were on fire. When I got back to the Xmen I was locked up for a while. Logan finally let me out. Since then I've had anger problems. I understand how you feel." I said and went to leave. "What?" he said. "You're misunderstood. So was and am I." I said. I left him there to think over what I said.

I went to my room. It was across the hall from Steven's. "Hey Hailey. what's up?" he asked I think he saw my look. "I don't know but since I came here I've been feeling sort of attracted to Loki. I don't know why. Maybe I've read too many romances." I said. I've certainly had the time I thought. "There's a meeting." Stark yelled. "lets go." I said. "Yeah." Captain said. She's really cute he thought. I blushed slightly.

"So?" fury said. "I'm working on it. He isn't the easiest person to profile. In fact I can profile you easier. When I know what he's like I can figure out how to approach him." I said. "He's cold calculating.what else do you need to know?" fury said. "He isn't all cold and calculating. The thing is fury unlike you I see both sides of a story." I said. That's what makes you unstable fury thought.

"Yeah so Fury figure out how to kill me yet." I said. "What?" he said. "I know what you were thinking when I stepped foot on this ship and I heard what you were thinking just now." I said. Steven blushed. "I won't go in Loki's head because if he figures it out we won't get anything out of him." I said storming off. "I'll talk to her." Steven whispered. I felt him next to me. i looked at him. "What happened to your eyes?" he asked. they turned from my normal golden to a green. "When I'm angry my eyes change. Please leave me alone. " I said.

I sat in my room. Steve was on the phone. "Wolverine I'm worried about her. She won't talk to anyone but Loki. Can you come and talk to her." I heard Steven whisper. "Sure." I heard Logan say. I waited till I heard his footsteps die away and went to Loki's cell. "What happened to your eyes?" he asked. "I got really mad. When I let my emotions get out of control they change color." I said. "What happened?" he asked. "Fury pushed me too far. I heard his thoughts. He didn't realize I can hear them. Don't worry I haven't been listening to yours." I said. "Why haven't you? I believe fury would want you to." He said. "That's what got me mad." I said. Black Widow came in. "Hailey Fury wants to see you." she said. I left.

Logan was in the conference area. "Hey Hailstone." he said with his cocky smile in place. "Hey." I said a little unenthusiastically. "Wow what happened?" he asked. "Why don't you ask Fury? he's the reason I'm mad." I said and left. "What did you do?" Logan said. he followed me. "Hey Hailstone. Listen you know we can talk right?" he said. "Yeah. Do you want to listen to me interrogating Loki?" I said. "Sure when?" he asked. "Tomorrow. Right now I'm going to do some good old fashioned Xmen therapy. Wanna join?" I said. "You bet it." he said.

We went to the training room. "Nice set up. Nothing like home though." Logan said. "No place beats the Danger Room." I said. "Let's get started." he said. I let the bad memories flow. I punched the bag till it came off its chain. I put another one on. "Wow you've never needed two. What did Fury do?" Logan said. I walked over to him and showed him. "That son of a bitch." Logan said. "Now you know why." I said. I went back to punching the bag. When the bag came off I was relaxed.
