Chapter 13: A Reunion

Elron landed in the midst of the dragons. The attack was extremely succesful. There had been no deaths and the only injuries were the occasional broken leg or wing from the fall. Some of the dragons still weren't free and Elron walked around, helping when he could. He used his metal breath to create splints for any broken bones and congradulated his friends.

A few of the dragons looked like they were almost drunk, probably with the strange new feeling of having there mind all to themselves. One dragon, an electric one, roared her happiness into the air, which was soon followed by a massive chorus of roars from the rest of the dragons, some in victory, some in the releaf of finally being free.

Elron smiled and joined in. They had freed two hundred dragons today, which had increased his force by double and a third. He now had the forces he needed to bring the humans down. It was time to put the final part of his plan into action, freeing the few remaining dragons and destroying the humans who had put them in that misrable place.

He walked through the dragons, looking for someone he knew. His eyes lit up on Celestia, the electric dragon. He trotted up to her.

"Celestia!" he said.

Celestia gazed towards him and smiled.

"So you did do it, you broke free," she said.

Elron nodded.

She smiled at him, "It feels like... like... I don't know, but its the best feeling I have ever felt."

"It is," said Elron, "You can do whatever you want now. There's nothing stopping you, although, I'm sure you will agree that we could use your help. From what I've heard and seen you are a pretty good fighter."

Celestia nodded, "I'd be honoured to fight beside you."

Elron nodded at her. He turned towards the rest of the dragons.

"Hey, do you think Scarlet is in here somewhere, I haven't seen her in ages," said Elron.

"I don't know, I think I caught a glimpse of her before we set off but it might of just been my imagination," said Celestia.

Elron smiled, "Thanks."

With that he bounded off into the fray, trying to find her. As he walked along he was thanked and applauded by many dragons. He stopped to chat with a few and they always asked him how he got free and about the rebellion against the humans. Elron answered all there questions patiently and accepted there thanks before moving on.

Scarlet laughed, she was free, finally free. She had given up all hope, and now she was free. She couldn't believe how great it felt. It was a thousand times better then she had even imagined. For the first time in her life there wasn't a fog in her mind.

She roared and let loose a bolt of flame into the sky. She could finally be herself. She laughed and raored again. No body noticed because most dragons were doing the same thing. She looked around, trying to find that noticable metal shean of the dragon that had started this rebellion. She spotted him, walking away from her and further into the crowd of dragons.

"Elron!" she called before bounding of after him.

Elron continued to walk through the dragons. He swear he heard his name being called a few times but whenever he looked back he couldn't see anyone that he knew. He shrugged and kept walking. Suddenly he was tackled from behind. He fell forward and landed on his head, his but stuck  in the air.

"Can you here me now!" yelled a voice in Elron's ear.

He cringed. He rolled over and looked up at the new dragon. It was Scarlet.

"Scarlet!" he cried, "You're here!"

Scarlet laughed, "Yes, I'm here goof brain, and it's about time you saw me. You turned back so many times that I thought you were blind!"

Elron smiled, "I'm just glad your here. It's been forever since we last saw each other."

"Yes, yes it has," laughed Scarlet, "Now tell me, what happened, don't spare any detail."

So Elron began to tell his story again, for the tenth time that morning. By the end Scarlet was smiling.

"So that pesky human did help you after all," she said, "I suppose you owe him a favour."

Elron shook his head, "If anything, he owed me a favour, so I put it on equal terms. Next time we meet I won't see him as friend or foe, he will have to make me decide."

Scarlet nodded, "That's good I guess."

Elron laughed,  "How does it feel to be free?'

"It's great!" she said, "It's like... well... I don't know, a thousand baths!"

Elron snorted at that, "That's what I thought."

"Yeah... well, to bad," she said.

Elron just shook his head and sighed, "You are in a very good mood today, aren't you."

"Why wouldn't I be!" she said, "This is the best day of my life!"

Elron sat back as Scarlet loosened another bolt of fire into the air. She was probably the happiest dragon alive, equal with the two hundred dragons that they had rescued today. Scarlet looked back at Elron, and smiled. Suddenly she shot her head forward and kissed Elron, right on the lips. Elron opened his eyes in surprise, before melting into the kiss.

They stayed like that for a moment before Scarlet pulled away. She blushed, glad that her red scales hid the blush. Elron was still for a moment, as if in a trance. He blinked and shook his head. He looked at Scarlet in surprise.

"That was for rescuing us today," she said, "I never thought this day would come, I... I had given up hope, and then you came and..."

She was cut of as Elron returned the kiss.

"Don't worry," he said after they had broken up, "I'm here now, and I will always be there for you."

Scarlet smiled, "Thankyou."

They stood still for a moment, looking into each others eyes.

"Well... I guess... your free now, you can do whatever you want," said Elron.

"I already know what I want, "she replied, "I want to join you resistance group, and destroy those freaking humans."

Elron smiled, "I knew you would."

With that Elron go up and began to walk to the front of the dragon army. Scarlet followed.

"What are we doing?" she asked.

"We're getting more forces," said Elron.

She nodded to herself and was about to ask what he ment when Elron suddenly stopped. She almost walked into him. He turned towards the army.

"Aaah, you might want to close your ears," said Elron.

Scarlet tilted her head at him, then did as he said. She covere her head with her wings, which were mostly sound proof. Elron tilted back his head a roared, an earsplitting roar that sounded like two peices of metal clashin together, times a hundred.

The sound echoed throughout the camp. Everyone looked up towards Elron. Scarlet cringed, she was glad she had covered her ears. The sound faded away. Elron had got everyones attention.

"Hello!" he called out, "Most of you probably know me, one way or another, but for those who don't, I'm Elron, and I have a proposition to make. I am the leader of a resistance movement against the human's that caught us. If you want to join, please make your way over there, and if you don't make your way over there. If you are already in the army, just make your way over to where the dragons who want to join are. I'll give you a few minutes to decide."

With that he turned away and back to Scarlet.

"A very insperational speach," said Scarlet sarcastically, "I almost believed you were trying to get them on your side."

Elron snorted, "I'm not one for speaches."

Scarlet laughed, "The strong silent type ha."

Elron laughed with her. They talked for a few more minutes before Elron turned back to the dragon army to see if they were ready. Most of the dragons had gathered in the resistance part, Elron estiamted around one hundred and fifty of the dragons they had rescued were with his army. The other fifty were on the other side. Elron didn't blame them, most of them probably didn't want to risk there lives on revenge.

He looked back towards his army. Now he had around three hundred dragons working for him. He would have been able to destroy the humans with half that amount, especially since they didn't have anymore dragons to protect them. There were still some dragons at the base but they were either sick, with child, or unable to fight. Destroying their base wouldn't be to much of a problem.

"Okay everyone!" yelled Elron, getting there attention once again, "Those who want to leave, you may now do whatever you wish, fly out into the world and see what you can discover. Those who want to join me, follow me."

With that Elron jumped into the sky. Scarlet lept up from behind him and together they flew back towards the place where Elron had been staying. Roackata flew up along side him.

"This was great, we have more then enough forces to destroy the humans now," he said, he looked over to Scarlet, "Who's your friend?"

Elron smiled at Roackata, "This is Scarlet. She helped me with some things while we were in the base. I owed it to her to rescue her."

Roackata nodded slowly, "Are you to mates?"

Elron widened his eyes at that, "No!"

"Well not yet anyway," said Scarlet flying in beside them. She winked at Elron.

Elron just sighed.

Scarlet laughed with Roackata. They eventually found there way back to the 'camp'. Elron had a look at all the new recruits and then they spent the rest of the day working out a plan. The next day they would attack.
