Misty's POV-

We reached the resort, which turned out to be gigantic. It had a swimming pool on the right hand side and many flowers growing on the left. And in the middle was a not-so-large stage with stairs on either side. It was dark by now, so the lights were switched on, revealing the numerous decorations that were hanging above us. There were many familiar faces present like Brock, May, Max, Gary, Lily, Daisy, Violet, Dawn, Mrs. Ketchum, Professor Oak and many others that I didn't recognize.

Right as we walked in to the main part of the resort, May and Dawn ran towards us.

"Hi you guys! How'd the date go?" They asked in unison.

"It was really fun!" Ash said, grinning.

"Wow Misty! You look amazing!" Dawn commented.

"Thanks Dawn. You two look beautiful as well!" I turned to Ash, "Ash, I don't recognize many of the people here. Will you introduce them to me?"

"Sorry, Misty, but I am borrowing him for a while. Dawn, why don't you show her around and introduce her to everyone." May told with a wink.

"Sure, May! I don't have anything to really do, anyways! " Dawn smiled, "Let's introduce you to everyone! A lot of them used to travel with Ash at some point."

"It'll be nice to meet them." I said as the thought of being with Ash alone left my mind.

Finally, I was introduced to everyone in the resort. This girl called Iris must have been one interesting person to hangout with. Iris, May, Dawn and I formed a group after May came back, leaving Ash with Brock. We all started talking about our different adventures we have had with Ash over the years. I also learned something new about May and Dawn. May had a crush on a green haired guy named Drew and Dawn had a crush on a purple haired guy called Paul.

While we were chit-chatting, music started to play. I looked around and saw a video being projected on the white screen on the stage. I turned to around to ask May what this was about, but she quickly walked away before I could finish my question... Not to mention, Dawn and Iris also followed her, leaving me confused.

I looked around and found that I was the only person standing right in front of the stage. Everyone else had moved to the sides.

I sat there in awe, looking up at the screen with nothing else to do.

'For my best friend,' the screen displayed.

As soon as the words came off the screen, a picture of Ash, Brock and I appeared. It was taken the first time we traveled together.

'What is this?' I thought to myself.

Then, a video clip of us camping came up. It showed Ash eating like an elephant and me scolding him for eating like that.

'Precious memories that I'll never forget,'

After a few more funny pictures and clips, the video was over. But then a song started playing...

I was even more confused when Brock came over and showed a small card to me with the letter 'I' on it. He then placed it on the ground in front of me, patted my back with a huge smile and walked away.

Next, May came out of nowhere and handed me a similar card which had a 'L' on it. She placed it next to the other card.

But I can't spell it out for you.

Max came up from behind me and handed me a card with the letter 'O' written on it. Like everyone else, he placed it on the floor next to the other cards and walked away.

I looked around to find Gary running towards me with a similar card, but this one had a 'V'. He gently placed it on the ground, winked at me and practically skipped away.

This seemed quite awkward because everyone was just coming up to me, showing me a card and then walking away as if they had just had a casual conversation with me.

Dawn came to me this time, placed a card that had a 'E' on it on the flat ground and walked away.

I look at the ground to see what the letters were forming, only to be shocked by what it was spelling.

'I LOVE'

Everyone started cheering from both sides of the stage. I looked up and saw Ash standing on the stage with a mic, singing! I didn't even realize that tears were forming in my eyes until they cascaded down my cheeks.

Missed out on each other now.

He stepped down from the stage and came towards me. He handed me a card as well that had a 'U' on it. I took it from him and placed it on the ground by myself, this time.

'I LOVE U '

Realize.

The song ended but my tears continued to flow out of my eyes.

"I love you Misty." He said while blushing.

I didn't answer, I just hugged him really tight. I was scared that all this might turn out to be a dream.

"I love you too, Ash!" I was overwhelmed by the scene in front of me.

Ash cupped my cheeks and held me in front of his face. He was just inches away from me. I looked into his chocolate, brown orbs. They always looked so bright and mesmerizing.

"Mist, why are you crying?" He said while wiping away the water running down my face.

"These are tears of happiness, silly!" I chuckled.

He smiled and said "Misty, I've been in love with you since the first time I saw you. However, I was way too oblivious to realize it. But after so many years, I finally realized that I wanted to be more than just friends with you. I was too scared to admit it. Then, the punishment that May gave me after the truth or dare game was that I had to confess my feelings to you. So, to make it special, I planned all of this. I really hope you liked it."

"I didn't like it, Ash..." His face smile instantly dropped. "I loved it!" I placed my forehead against his and said, "I love you too, Ash! I've always loved you and I always will!"

Ash brought my face right up to his and placed his warm lips against mine. He kissed me. I was shocked for a second, but I quickly returned the kiss while the crowd cheered from the sides.

This has to be one of the best days ever.
