Dublin, Ireland...

            Adrien walks around in the garden outside the cottage.  Marinette is there as well.  

           Adrien's girlfriend, Jaclyn is just outside the gate to the garden.  She just sits there and listens in to the private conversation.  She is jealous of Marinette!  

      Jaclyn thinks, Why the very fact she is here, makes it impossible for me to have a moment alone with my boyfriend.  Ugh, why is it the moment she arrives, Adrien rushes, after her?    You would think she was his girlfriend instead of me.

        "Marinette, please listen to me!"  Adrien says.

        "No, Adrien!  You listen.  You once told me on more than one occasion that you loved me."  Marinette says.

          Adrien looks at her and reaches out and grabs her hand.  He never wants to let go for fear that her presence will be a dream if he dares to let go.

           "Mari, let me explain!"  Adrien says.

         "No, Adrien!  Let me explain, I came here because I thought that deep down, maybe just maybe you still had a love for me!  I can see now it was just a lie."  Marinette says.

          "Oh, and like a fool, I came here to tell how I really feel.  The truth is I love you!  I always have ever since you saved my life, but now I find out all this time you were just playing with my heart!"  Marinette says.  She reaches out and slaps him across the cheek.   

           "Mari, I-I..." Adrien says.

          "Oh, just save it, I have had enough of you and your lies,"  Marinette says.

          "Is that what you really think?  I was hurt when you broke up with me!  Truly I was then and I am now! "  Adrien says as tears fill his eyes.

           Adrien reaches up and kisses Marinette!  She kisses him back.  When she breaks the kiss there are tears in her eyes too.  "I never should have come!  Goodbye!"  Marinette says. She runs out of the garden with tears on her face.  She does not even care if someone sees it. She feels betrayal and heartbreak.

          Adrien stands there like a wounded animal.  He can not believe it.  His Marinette loves him!  He knows he still loves her.  He feels more tears touch his cheek.  

"No, Mari!  I  do love you!"  Adrien says.  He refuses to wipe the tears away.

   Jaclyn enters the garden next.  She is furious. Very furious indeed!  She slaps Adrien on the opposite cheek than the one he got from Marinette!

      "How dare you!  You two-timer!  You could have just told me the truth that she was more than just an old friend, and that you still love her!  But no, you let me think otherwise!  Like a fool, I believed you!   Adrien Agreste, I will hate you until the day I die!  By the way, we are through! "  Jaclyn says.  She stomps off in a huff.

        Adrien is to stunned for words.  He is only thought is Marinette, my beautiful bluenette, I love you and now thanks to my stupid actions I have lost the one I love.  He leaves the garden last. He shuts and locks the gate on his way out.

      Adrien's  POV:   Marinette, I never thought you loved me.  How was I to know?  You broke my heart once when you dumped me and now once more with your confession!  For now, I know you truly love me and how you must be hurt to see me with another!  It is not like I can fix the past part of my life.  If I could, I would, but we both know that is impossible.

     Marinette's  POV:  How could he?  How did he say he loved me and always will only to let me catch him with another?  I know I broke up with him, but I had to have time to sort out my feelings.  Now that I have I feel so stupid.  I love him, and he has taken my heart and broken it.  What am I do?  What am I to say, or think?  I mean I come all this way to tell him how I feel and I find him with someone else?   

   Jacyln's  POV:  Ugh, I wish I never met this Adrien Agreste boy!  Everyone says he is fine young gentlemen!  They also say he will be faithful to the end!  As if, he was in love with someone once and still is!  I should have known too.  I mean, he always did refuse to kiss me, and he barely held hands even when we were together. I thought it was because he was embarrassed to show affection in public.  Now, I know it is because I am not her!  I never have been and never will be!  Well, that is that and so I shall go on alone in the world unless I happen to find a real gentleman to court me!   

   Adrien enters the cottage and sees Marinette with her bags.  He thinks, wait!  I can not let her go, now yet anyway!

       "Look, Marinette!  I never knew you would come here!  Besides, how I was I to know you had any love for me?  You were the one who shut me out when I told you how I felt, and you gave me the necklace back!  " Adrien says.

       "Adrien, just forget about me!  I am nothing.  I just a mistake from your past!  I intend to go back home.  So, please just do not say or do anything you will only regret later."  Marinette says.

       "Marinette, I -I..."  Adrien says.  He pulls her close and closes the gap between them as he kisses her once more.  He hears her sigh and sees her close her eyes.  He thinks, please let me love you, please!  

      Marinette returns the kiss.  "Adrien, I will stay, but you must not try to court me.  Please, no more kisses either."  Marinette says.

       "I can not promise any such thing.  I should never have left you!  " Adrien says.
