Adrien and Marinette head to the shelter nearby.  Once out of the storm, they take a closer look around them.   Marinette  notices the inside of the place has a lot of benches in it.  The outside from she recalls is a  arch shape which she only knows because she has been here before.  The last time she was here was for a wedding!  It was for her cousin and her husband to be. The event was a lovely one and the gazebo was all done up in laces, flowers, and such.

     Marinette blushes. She thinks, of all the places to end up in with Adrien, why here?  Why the gazebo?  She is glad the lights inside are dim lite as this makes it hard for him to see how awkward she feels about the location they find themselves in right now. 

    Adrien notices Marinette let go of his hand. He has no idea where they are.  He just knows that for some reason Marinette is rather quiet.  Too quiet to suit him!  Did she fall asleep, or something?  He takes a look around and sees that she is close by.  He thinks, Marinette are you okay?

    "Marinette?"  Adrien speaks up.

   "Yes?"  Marinette says.

  "Where exactly are w-we?"  Adrien says.

   "Uh, we are in the gazebo!  It is kinda strange is it not?  I mean usually people come here for special events like a wedding, a dance, or something!"  Marinette says.

    "Oh, is that why you were so quiet at first?"  Adrien says.

   "Yes, how about you?"  Marinette says.

    "I had no idea where we were until you told me.  Though I must say that would explain the strange shape and size to the place."  Adrien says. He thinks, not to mention the romantic atmosphere to the place.

   "Haha, yes that explains it."  Marinette says.

   "Are you angry with me?" Adrien says.

   "Angry with you?  No!  Why would I be?" Marinette says.

   "Well that is a relief.  I just thought you would be upset since my father was so horrid to you the other day."  Adrien says.

  "Oh, I uh..." Marinette says.

   "You what?  what is it Mari?" Adrien says.

    "I kinda overheard your conversation with him.  The whole thing, even the part where you stood up to him for me.  No one has ever done that for me before not even my ex boyfriend."  Marinette says.

    "You have an ex boyfriend?" Adrien says. He feels hurt at the news. Though he is not sure why he is since he only just meet her in the last few months. 

   "Yes, it is only because he was a cheater.  I caught him with my best friend!  The traitor, I mean how could he?  We were together for almost two years and just like that with no warning or anything he cheats. " Marinette says.

   "Oh, sorry, I asked." Adrien says. He sighs and thinks, no wonder she dislikes me. I probably remind her of her ex.  I suppose this is why she shows no interest to anyone.

    "It is okay, you didn't know. Besides, that happened like four years ago!"  Marinette says.

   "Really?"  Adrien says.

   "Yes, really!"  Marinette says and giggles just a little.

    "What is so funny?"  Adrien asks.

    "You are! "  Marinette says.

    "I have been called lots of things in my life, but never funny.  Not by anyone except for my mother who died when I was very little."  Adrien says.

   "Oh, I never meant to make you feel bad," Marinette says.

    "It is okay.  I want you to feel comfortable around me."  Adrien says.

    "I do!"  Marinette whispers.

    "Mari?"  Adrien whispers.

   "Yes?"  Marinette says.

   "Uh, the storm is over, so I guess we should get going and..." Adrien says.

     Marinette catches him by surprise when she cuts him off. She leans in and kisses him on the lips.  Adrien just thinks, wait!  What?  I thought you didn't want this.

    Adrien kisses her back. He thinks I love you!  He breaks the kiss.

   "Uh, yeah!  We better go!" Marinette says.

   "Y-yeah!"  Adrien says.

   Marinette grabs his hand again and leads him out of the gazebo and back to the beach area.  Once there, Adrien whispers, "Mari, why did you kiss me?  I thought you did not want too." 

  Marinette blushes. She does not say anything. She thinks, what did I do?  Why did I just kiss him like that?  I mean that is not like me at all. What on earth was I thinking?  She lets go of his hand and turns to him.  "Adrien, I never meant to hurt you!  I am sorry, I will  not let it happen again. See you tomorrow!"   With that she runs off with a dumfounded Adrien left behind.  He stares at her and thinks, what have I gotten myself into?   He also thinks, if the storm had ended any later would I have gotten the chance to ask her out?
