The surfer competition is about to start!  The only problem is that Adrien Agreste, a famous  surfer could care less. He secretly wishes to do other things. He does not like the spot light all the time.  Yet, at his father's  insistence he still surfs.  He is twenty-five years old and feels like his life is a big joke.  He dates a red head girl, Lila Rossi. He can tell she is crazy about him.  

         Adrien feels like he can't stand it much longer.  How long must he be in his father's shadow?  How long will he have to deal with all the fan girls, and is obnoxious girlfriend to boot?  He knows  now he does not return Lila's feelings for him. Besides, he is sure she is just after him because of looks, fame and fortune like everyone else.  He much rather date a girl who takes him more seriously.  A  girl who sees him for himself, who loves him for him.  He shakes his head and thinks, as if a girl like that could ever exist.  

          Adrien checks the time and sees he has time for a jog before the competition starts. He puts on his t-shirt, and a pair of  jogging shoes.  He starts to jog.  He hopes no one notices him now that he has on a dark shade of sunglasses, and a baseball cap to go along with the rest of his outfit.  Much to his dismay, Lila sees him. He thinks, great just what I need, a clingy girl !  Ugh!  Why can't I just dump her and be done with it already? 

       "Hi, Adrien!"  Lila says in a flirty voice.

      "Oh, hi, Lila!"  Adrien replies.

      "Adrien, why you don't seem to happy to see me !  Why is that?"  Lila whines.

      "Lila,look, I think we both know..." Adrien begins.  Lila sees Marinette and Luka a  long distance away.  She attempts to kiss Adrien!

      "Ugh, Lila!  Get off me!" Adrien says.  He is furious!

     "Oh, come on!  Why want you let me kiss you?   I am your girlfriend!"  Lila whines and pouts.

     " I don't want to kiss anyone for sport.  I want it to mean something.  When I kiss someone I want it to be for love."  Adrien says.

     "What?  Adrien, I thought you loved me!"  Lila says with annoyance in her tone of voice.

    "Well, that is where you are dead wrong!  I  don't  care for you in that way!  I never have and never will!"  Adrien says.

    "What?  Why not?  I am the best thing that has ever happened to you!"  Lila protest.

    "Ugh, not now! "  Adrien says.

        Adrien jogs off in a hurry to leave Lila behind. Lila stomps off in a huff.   It is obvious she is ticked off.

       He runs so fast, he does not watch where he goes.  He trips over  a sand dollar and bam!  Down he goes in the sand!  Adrien looks up in astonishment when he hears someone laugh.

      "Here, let me help you!"  the pretty blue haired and blue  bell eyed woman says

        "Who are you?"  Adrien says.  He blushes a little.

      "I am Marinette  Dupain-Cheng, and you are?"  Marinette says.

     "I am Adrien!  Adrien Agreste!" 

     "Nice to meet you!" 

     "Yeah, likewise, dude!" Luka says as he shakes Adrien's hand now that Marinette has helped him back to his feet.

      " Oh, this is my coworker, Luka Cuffaine!" 

      "Nice to meet you, Luka."  He notices Luka  can't seem to take his eyes off of Marinette.  He thinks, ugh!  Why can't this guy knock it off?  She is mine!  He blushes at his silly thoughts.

       Adrien sits down to relax.  Luka and Marinette do the same.  Now, Marinette is in the middle of the two men.  Luka to her left and Adrien to the right.  They both seem to have eyes for her!  

       One hour later, Adrien gets up. 

 "Oh, man, sorry, I have to go!"  Adrien says, he waves by to Marinette as he leaves.

    "He sure seems nice." 

    "I don't  like him!"  Luka says. He thinks, wait! Why did I just say that out loud?  

     "Haha, you never like anyone!"  Marinette teases him. She is still clueless to reality.

      " Haha, you are probably right!"  Luka says. He blushes.  

            Marinette does not seem to notice. She is to busy relaxin.
