Adrien goes home after the photo shoot and thinks, this was such a dull day. He believes other than the excitement with his new neighbors nothing cool ever happens around here.  At least not for him that is anyway.

      He sees a box that has Chinese writing on it, opens it a bright green light flashes, and he sees a ring.  He immediately puts it on his finger.

     "Wow, cool!" Adrien says.

  "Hi, I am Plagg your kwami.  I give you the power to Cataclysm things you touch. You will the partner to Ladybug the other chosen hero in Paris, France.  To transform in emergencies you say,  Plagg claws out."  Plagg explains.

      "You must keep your identity a secret because it could bring tragic results if it got into the wrong hands," Plagg tells him.

    "Nice to meet you Plagg!  How can be a hero if I only allowed out of the house for photo shoots, church, and occasional trips to the pizza parlor, library, and the ice-cream stand? " Adrien responds.

"Even when I do leave the house my bodyguard goes with me since I am a model for my father's famous clothing line," Adrien explains further.

"Do not worry, Adrien!  Everything will be just fine,"  Plagg says.

   "So what is my hero name, anyway?" Adrien asks.

"Chat Noir unless you have another one you like better!  My last holder chose to call himself  Mr. Cat which I found to be rather amusing," Plagg tells him.

     "Chat Noir, huh?  I like it!'' Adrien says with a grin.

       Little does he know how huge a responsibility he has been given or how much he will depend on Ladybug when he fights alongside her.  He also does not know it yet, but he is the one that is meant to be with Ladybug.

      Adrien smirks as he looks around his room.  He tries to visualize what life will be like with more freedom outside these walls.  He does know it yet, but being Chat Noir will be his best and his worst parts of his life ever.

     He also does not know that the girl chosen to be Ladybug has some doubts about it.  He has no clue that he will be the one to encourage her to keep going even when others think she is a mistake or that she is a bad choice for a hero.  He will stand by her side in more ways than one.  Yes, that is right he is Chat Noir and he is brave, confident, cool, and flirty.
