Two days later, at school, "Hi, girls!  Hi, Adrien!" Nino says.

      "Hi, Nino!  How are you?"  Alya asks.

     "Hi, Nino!  Hi, A-Adrien!" Marinette says.

     "I am great Alya, glad you are feeling better," Nino remarks.

      "Hi, Nino and Alya!" Adrien says.

    "Hi, Adrien!  Are you going to say hi to Marinette?" Alya gives him a puzzled look.

     "A-Adrien are you okay?" Marinette says with a smile meant only for him.

    "I have to go to the bathroom," Adrien says and rushes off.

    "Nino, did you see what I just did?" Alya asks.

    "Adrien is acting weird," Nino says.

     Marinette is hurt, and remarks, "why did he run off without speaking to me?"

      "Marinette what is the matter?"  Chloe asks.

    "What is going on Mari?"  Nathaniel asks.

     "Marinette are you alright?"  Rose asks.

    "Hi, Nino, Alya, Nath, Chloe, Rose, and Sam!"  Lila says.

    "Hi, Marinette!" Chloe says

    "Hi, Lila," Marinette says. She is still upset that Adrien did not speak to her.

    "Marinette you can tell us we promise not to tell anyone, now what is bothering you?"  Lila asks.

      Alya hugs Alya.  "Adrien is avoiding, Marinette"  Alya explains.

    "What?  I thought he was your friend,"  Lila says.

    "Yes, this does not sound like him at all," Nathaniel says.

     "I am so sorry, Marinette,"  Rose says.

    "Me too, do not worry we here for you, Marinette,"  Nino says.

     "Sorry, he is not speaking to you," Sam says.

     Adrien goes to the bathroom like he said he would, then enters the classroom.  The bell rings, and everyone enters the room in a hurry.

     Miss Bustier takes the roll,  "Everyone may I have your attention, please."  She asks.

      Marinette is in her seat but is so upset that Adrien ignores her begins to cry. She raises her hand and asks, "May  I go home?  I do not feel so good."

    "Sure, Marinette you may go!  Hope you feel better, soon!"  Miss Bustier says. 

      Then, she begins to teach.           

Marinette goes home rather quiet because she can tell the real reason she left early.  

          After school,  "Adrien why did you do this to Marinette?" Chloe asks.

    "What are you talking about Chloe?"  Adrien asks.  He thinks Marinette dates Max.

    "Adrien, why have you spoken to Marinette all day?"  Lila asks.

     "Dude that is so not cool,"  Nino says.

      "This is for hurting, Marinette,"  Alya says. She slaps Adrien twice.

   "Let's go, Nino,"  Alya says.

   "Sure, babe!  Let's get going," Nino says. He walks Alya home and holds her hand.

   "Come on Chloe, let's  go!"  Nathaniel says and grabs her hand.

     "Adrien, what happened to you?"  Rose asks.

   "Yes, do tell,"  Kim ask.

  "Alya slapped him," Lila remarks. She waves bye as she leaves to go home.

    "Rose, how are you?"  Max asks. He blushes.

    "I am good, Max?  How are you?"  Rose asks. She blushes too.

    "I am great!  It is good to see you,"  Max tells her.

         Max and Rose hug each other and smile.

  Adrien sees Max and Rose hug each other. He thinks Max is cheating on Marinette.

   "Max, how could you?"  Adrien says angrily.

    "I beg your pardon, why can not I hug the girl I love?"  Max says and blushes.

      Rose blushes and thinks, did I hear correctly Max loves me.

         Adrien is so ticked off now, he punches Max.  "That is for cheating on Marinette," Adrien says and thinks no wonder she left sad earlier.

         "Adrien, what are you talking about anyway?  I am not dating, Marinette."  Max says.

    "What, but I thought..."  Adrien says embarrassed.

     "Well, you thought wrong,"  Max says.

     "Whatever gave you that idea?"  Max asks.

    Rose giggles, and says, "Max are you alright?"

     "Rose, I am fine,"  Max says.

     "I saw you with Marinette yesterday and..."  Adrien looks at him with confusion.

    "She was helping give me advice about Rose's birthday present," Max explains.

     "Max, you got me a present?" Rose says. She blushes from surprise and faints.

          Adrien feels embarrassed, "So sorry, Max!"  He sees Rose faint and runs home. He goes to his room, sighs, and daydreams about Marinette.

   Plagg comes out of Adrien's pocket now that he is back home.  
 

 "Adrien, what was that all about anyway?  I thought you loved Ladybug."  Plagg says.

   "I do not love, Ladybug.  I love Marinette!" Adrien says.

    Tikki is in Marinette's room as usual and tries to cheer up Marinette. 

    "Marinette is is alright, I am sure it is you know,"  Tikki says.

     "How can it be when the love of my life hates me?"  Marinette asks.

Meanwhile, Max takes Rose to the hospital.   The doctor comes out in a few minutes.

   "Friends and family of Rose?"  The doctor says.

       "I am boyfriend,"  Max says. He lies. 

   "How is she?" Max asks.

    "She will be okay, but she needs a kidney transplant."  The doctor replies.

    "What?  May I see her?"  Max asks with tears in her eyes.

     "Sure, right this way." The doctor shows him to Rose's hospital room.

   Rose is crying too, and says, "Max, you came?"

    "Yes, Rose I love you!  I can not lose you." Max hugs her.
