Marinette's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Aaaaaah!" I yelled as I turned off my alarm. Tikki giggled. "I'm just gonna lay here a little longer."
"Ok, but remember to get up! Don't fall asleep!" Tikki said.
"Ok..." I said and then fell back asleep as soon as I lyed back down.

"Marinette!" Tikki yelled, waking me up.
"Tikki, don't worry. School starts in...an hour ago?!" I yelled as I looked at the time. I rushed to get ready and then ran out the door with Tikki in my purse, not even thinking to say 'good bye' to my parents.

I walked in to class and sat in my usual seat next to Alya.
"Girl, where have you been?" she asked.
"I overslept," I replied simply.
"You really need to get up earlier. One of these days, an akuma might snatch you up in your sleep and you wouldn't even know it because you were asleep. I'm sure Ladybug and Chat Noir would save you, but that's not the point," Alya explained.
"I know. I know," I said.
"Girls, would you like to share your conversation with the entire class?" Ms. Bostier asked.
"Sorry," we apologised in unison. Then I heard a loud boom. Great. An akuma attack. Just what I need.
"Everyone go directly home for your own safety. And don't forget to finish up our class work!" Ms. Bostier dismissed us. I ran to the girls' bathroom, opened my purse, and Tikki emerged.
"It's time to transform! Tikki, spots on!" I chanted as Tikki flew in to my earring. I then became clad in my red suit. I ran out to the battle scene. Chat Noir was already there, fighting a villain that was turning everyone into...microphones?
"There you are, m'lady. It's about time you showed up. The Singing Tormenter is turning everyone into microphones," he said.
"Oh, yeah. I didn't notice all of the oversized microphones laying on the ground," I said sarcastically.
"I hope you have a purr-fect plan," Chat said. I rolled my eyes at his silly pun.
"I do," I replied.
"I hope that we can both be saying that in the future," he said with a wink.
"Let's just focus on the task at hand. So, I'm thinking the akuma is in her microphone. I'll distract her and you sneak up behind her and use your cataclysm on the microphone. Then, I de-evilise the akuma and Paris is saved. Simple," I explained.
"Well, it's easier said than done," Chat said. I then ran off to the akuma.
"Lucky Charm!" I yelled as I threw my yo-yo into the air. I got another yo-yo. I've gotten a yo-yo before. I didn't think much of it, though. I used both of the yo-yos to deflect the blasts of Singing Tormenter's microphone.
In the corner of my eye, I could see Chat sneaking up behind her, just like we planned. It took him a while to be able get to her unseen, as she was trying to find him. He then used his cataclysm to destroy the microphone and I rushed to capture the akuma.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilise! Gotcha!" I shouted as I captured the akuma. I released the purified, white butterfly. "Bye bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" I threw the yo-yo into the air and a burst of pink energy turned everything back to normal. My Miraculous beeped. Chat's did too.
"We better get going. We're about to change back. Bug out!" I said as I spotted (ha) a place to hide. My Miraculous beeped for the last time. I turned to leave, but I wasn't fast enough. I changed back into my civilian self, Marinette.
"I have to go!" I said, my eyes brimmed with tears. I tried to run away, but Chat grabbed my arm.
"Wait!" he pleaded.
"No! You're disappointed that it's me, that it isn't who you expected it to be," I said as I tried to get free of his grip.
"Marinette...I'm not disappointed. I'm actually thrilled that it's you. You're right that I wasn't expecting you, but I'm happy it is. I actually don't know who I expected. At least it's someone I know," Chat explained. I became confused.
"You know me?" I asked.
"Yeah...I do. You know me too, purr-incess," he said. I rolled my eyes at his pun.
"I should probably get going. I have to get back to school," I said.
"Yeah, I should too. I have to go to school too, you know. It has been a purr-easure," Chat said.
"That's probably your worst pun yet," I said.
"Meow-ch. That's offensive," he said jokingly with his hand on his heart, faking sadness. His Miraculous beeped for the last time. "Whoops." A green flash engulfed him and disappeared to reveal none other than the famous Adrien Agreste.
"Adrien?" I asked, confused, surprised, and happy all at the same time.
"Yep. Are you surpurrised?" he asked.
"Very, but I'm glad it's you," I replied.
"Really?" Adrien asked.
"Well, duh! I've had a crush on you forever, Adrien! Both sides of you! I'm glad it's the same person," I explained.
"Same goes for me. I've had a crush on both sides of you too," he admitted.
"Why don't we go to my house?" I asked.
"What about school?" he asked.
"We can skip. I have the perfect excuse anyways," I said.
"Ok, but do what?" Adrien asked.
"You'll see when we get there," I said flirtatiously.
"Oh, I see what you want to do," he said.
"Mm hmm," I hummed while nodding. We walked to my house and had to transform and go through the window so my parents wouldn't see us. We detransformed and then...

I woke up and realized Adrien was still there. I got up and got dressed.
"Adrien. Put your clothes on," I ordered.
"Did we fall asleep?" he asked.
"Yes, now get dressed. We have school," I said. He did as I comman-I mean asked.

We arrived at school right on time. I felt so accomplished. We decided to start dating. Life was great...until I got sick.
