A few months later, Cat still has yet to show Marinette the truth. He is afraid she will freak out.  He can not wait to see Marinette even though he is not sure what it means for him and her.

     Marinette gets ready for the day. She is so happy. She wonders why Cat was so sad last night.  She thinks, he is so cute. She blushes. 

    Later that evening, Marinette hears someone out on her balcony. She smiles and thinks; it must be my boyfriend, Cat Noir. She unlocks the slide indoor, opens it, but does not check to see who it is behind it.

    The person enters the room and smiles.  

   "Hi, M-Marinette, long time no see," The visitor says.

       Marinette looks up, gasps, and thinks you are not Cat Noir.     

    "Ah," Marinette screams because she thinks she sees a ghost.

      "M-Marinette, look I can explain..." Adrien begins.

      "Adrien's ghost, please do not hurt me. " Marinette says. She trembles in fear.

     "Why did you choose to haunt me?" Marinette asks. 

     "Marinette, I am not a g-ghost it is me," Adrien says. He sees her shudder.

     "Adrien's dead so you must be a ghost," Marinette screams again.

        Marinette faints because she thinks she saw Adrien's ghost.

       Adrien stands there in silence. He thinks, what have I done? He begins to believe he made a mistake in his visit to her as Adrien. He picks her up, carries her to her bed, sets her down gently, kisses her forehead, and whispers sweet dreams princess.

     He leaves, returns to his hideout, puts his hand in his lap, and cries. He thinks, great I scared her, and she will never forgive me.  He still loves her.

   The next day, Marinette wakes up. She thinks, I dreamt I saw Adrien's ghost. She has no idea she saw Adrien for real the night before since she woke up in her bed.

     She gets ready for the day and can not wait to see Cat Noir. She wonders where he was last night. She sighs. She shudders when she recalls how close the presence of the ghost was to her.
